Pros +
- The hotel has direct access to the ski slope (you have to cross the black trail - it is not strongly demanding). Very tasty breakfasts, helpful staff. A pleasant spa with free drinks. The rooms were clean, the towels and bedding fragrant. Large parking lot, close to the park and town
- The location was perfect, just outside the center of the villageThe spa was the best and with just few people and this made us enjoy it even more
- I stayed at La Tana 10 years ago and now. The property had definitely improved, the rooms and bathrooms have a nicer decor and everything is spotlessly clean. They added dining space for hotel guests and the selection of dishes for dinner is quite amazing. Breakfast is simple but very good and doesn’t lack anything. SPA facilities are still wonderful! La Tana is right next to the ski highway and nothing beats getting right onto the slope from your door:)
Cons -
- There are several cats living in the hotel - for allergy sufferers this can be a nuisance. The only downside in our room was the lack of ventilation in the bathroom, which made it damp. On the weekend the spa was quite crowded.
- The only thing that wasn't good was pizzoccheri, the rest of the food was good on the other hand
- Sadly there were a few things that I’d suggest for improvement. It’s a wooden house and the noise really travels, the door to the rooms don’t provide any sounds isolation. You need to hope that the other guests will be respectful and quiet in the night, which they were:) There is lots of “light pollution” in the rooms, from various devices on the walls and external lightning - curtains don’t really block the light. On 2 nights there just was a constant, loud running water noise in my room and it was impossible to sleep. The ski room is difficult to access and is really basic, some heating for the boots would be nice. Lastly, when I was in La Tana before, SPA was only for the hotel guests. I do understand that the hotel wants to maximise the business model but due to external guests accessing a relatively small space, it was getting extremely crowded at times.

It is a quiet and hidden place with stunning views. It is located in the Adamello park and very close to the Stelvio park. It is surrounded by ski resorts and amazing mountain passes (Tonale and Gavia). We were going to arrive late due to bad weather and road works so they called us to offer us the possibility of booking a table. It was a great surprise and a success. The tasting menu was on par with a Michelin star restaurant. The staff is extremely attentive and friendly. We forgot a piece of clothing and the next day everything was already organised to send it directly to our home. I would definitely stay if I had to go back to that part of Italy.
Perhaps the room could have been a bit bigger, although this is understandable since we were only staying one night. Not a big inconvenience though.
Location was excellent to help break a long drive. Staff very friendly.
Breakfast in the morning was to start at 7:30. We needed to get on the road that morning and they didn’t arrive to start prepping till 7:40. So no breakfast.
very kind staff, good food, very clean spaces, excellent massages, very relaxing and clean spa.
Great place with clean rooms, very relaxing spa and environment, outstanding food and, last but certainly not least warm and nice staff. An amazing getaway in Ponte di Legno
