Well located to all the hiking trails, clean rooms, comfortable bed and bathroom and great daily breakfast. Very kind and helpful staff. The balcony was an unexpected delight.

Maybe the pillows can get an upgrade? They seemed worn out (as in not enough cushions for head support)

Although there were some positive aspects to our stay, I feel that the way we were treated left a huge dent on our stay at the property.

- Unfortunately I booked a room with a mountain view, and was given a room on the side street. View was heavily obstructed. I was there with my elderly mother for a whole week celebrating her 70th birthday so I had previously asked about the view via message, and it was confirmed that we will actually have a mountain view. Once in the room I complained to who I assume was the owner. His attitude left much to be desired. I asked to be relocated to a room having a balcony on the front of the property, however he claimed that such rooms were single rooms and could not accommodate two people. Alternatively, I asked if it was possible to get a refund since we were extremely disappointed about the view. At first he asked me to find an alternative accommodation, and we would discuss said refund. However once back in the room, he came knocking and took me out in the balcony, to show me the mountains with a very arrogant attitude. To see the mountains, you have to lean over the balcony. When I re-confirmed that this was not what I was promised, he said that he never had any complaints. When asking about the refund, since I had found an alternative accommodation elsewhere, he said NO, and also went ahead to say that had my booking not been pre-paid already, he would have called the police on me. Obviously we had to stay there, because I was not willing to pay another property and leave him my money. The owner also told me that if I wanted a better view, I should have booked a cottage in the forest or the mountains and pay 500EUR - 1,000EUR per night. For this property I paid around 200EUR per night, with a bill of close to 1,400EUR. It was never about the money, because I obviously was ok with the 1,400EUR, however, provided that we get what we were promised. This situation left us in a very uncomfortable position for a whole week.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. The rooms with the mountain view are so nice. Beds are comfy but could be small for large size people. You may need to ask for another pillow if you like higher incline for your head while sleeping. The room is clean and the furniture is nice. Internet is fast and free. There is a supermarket about 100m away.

The room was very nice, quiet and comfortable. It had a living room area was separated from the bedroom with a sliding door, which was very nice. Great views from the balcony! The location was excellent, and we could walk through the whole downtown just a few minutes from the hotel, and a great restaurant and brewery was across the street.

Maybe some other egg options besides hard boiled, some Bircher muesli, and Jogurt would have been very welcome before a long day of hiking. Maybe a choice of coffee, like a cappuccino for example.

An easy walk to the center of town, breakfast was yummy, local neighborhood quaint and easy to explore on foot.Great views of mountains from guest house.

Very helpful staff, in an excellent location. Just on the edge of the main restaurant district. Plenty of space and a balcony for just a single room.

Very comfortable accommodation, the room was tastefully decorated with plenty of space, very clean and I thought lovely, the balcony and view was wonderful. The proprietors were very friendly and welcoming and I’d be very happy to stay here again.

This was my 2nd visit to this lovely hotel. Once again, it exceeded my expectations. Friendly staff, lovely room with WiFi, T.V. Clean, modern bathroom with a power shower.Rooms are warm and cosy with mountain views .The buffet breakfast is plentiful, with a typical German spread.Rooms are cleaned daily (normally while you have breakfast), so there is no need to feel rushed when returning from breakfast. They also have complimentary coffee in the afternoons.I find it to be great value for money, and I hope to return to this small hotel for a 3rd time in the very near future.P.S; The hotel is situated about a 10 minute stroll from the railway station in Mittenwald. Very easy to find.

The hotel is modern and clean. The owner is kind and helpful. Breakfast was delecious (free coffee in the afternoon in the hotel's lobby). View from the balcony was amazing, pointing the mountain. Location is perfect, just 500m from the Gorge. Would definitely come back.

The hotel was very nice, the room was clean and comfortable. The parking is onsite, and the woman who took care of breakfast was very sweet. The highlight was walking out the front door and seeing the Alps towering above.

Everything was brand new, very helpful staff, best value for money in at least 300km radius.
