    Pros +

    • The breakfast was very good. Big selection and Great coffee. There is a really cool waterfall just up the hill from the hotel, just a short walk away.
    • Friendly staff , hotel was near Eagles Nest
    • Staff was very friendly. Food was good at the facility. Great location near hike and waterfall. I wish I had a bike as there were many roads for biking. Beautiful views.

    Cons -

    • The price too steep for a 3 star. With VAT and the dog addition went from 139 to 171 or so...
    • The wifi was mediocre. I had to walk down the hall to get a good reception.
    • Washing machines didn’t work properly . There was no shower stall in our room so the entire bathroom was soaking wet after someone showered .

Staff was very friendly. Food was good at the facility. Great location near hike and waterfall. I wish I had a bike as there were many roads for biking. Beautiful views.

Older facility- bathroom was a little different(shower and toilet in one room- so everything got wet). Shared balcony. The facility is very busy as it is large enough to accommodate tour buses. We had 3 tour buses of teenagers stay while we were there. Evenings were loud because of this but they quieted down by 10 pm.

How close it is to salzburg

It wasn’t modern with very old style and not very clean room, a bit scary for me specially at night

    Location

At check-in, I personally and clearly asked if there was Wi-Fi in the room, and the receptionist confirmed there was. But that turned out to be completely false—Wi-Fi was only available in the lobby. I genuinely don’t understand why anyone would lie about something so basic and essential.

    Location, receptionist extremely kind

    Rude and unpleasant breakfast staff.

The surroundings are absolutely amazing and the host is quite friendly.

We were quite desperate to find a somewhat affordable hotel in the surroundings due to unexpected delays with our travels. Although the rating was average (a 6.7 on booking when booking) we thought, let's try, we need a place to stay. That is quite literally all you get. The room was a decent size but very dated. The bed had two very different mattresses; they did not match in size and definitely not in comfort. You could feel the springs in one of the mattresses and it was very uncomfortable. The decor was made up of old paintings (which is fine) and just empty nails sticking out of the wall. The hygiene of the room was... questionable at best. The bathroom was absolutely abhorrent. Cracks in the mirror and sink, you had to be careful with flushing the toilet else you would (or at least have the impression you would) break the flush button, the showerhead was filled with buildup, resulting in a lackluster flow of water and to top it all of: no shower curtain or anything to protect the rest of the bathroom and everything in it of getting completely soaked when showering. The walls of the room are also paper thin, we could hear everything going on in the hotel and since there are a lot of rooms, resulting in a lot of people, it is not a quiet place to stay. The cleaning crew came rattling at our door quite early in the morning while we were still in bed and checkout wasn't until 10.30 (believe they started rattling and opening doors around 8.30h. All in all: if you absolutely have to, you get a roof over your head and it's dry. The view is amazing but that is all...

Super friendly, very comfortable in the middle of the mountains with amazing views and great staff. We loved how authentic it was and bonus right beside the waterfall and 3 or so km from a lake to swim. Loved it

We stayed here for 1 night having driven for 2 hours in torrential rain. It was a relief to have a roof over our heads.

Overpriced but you have to pay to stay in this area. We payed for breakfast (for a family of six €60) as the owner told us it was very good and we were missing something if we didn’t have it. It was an average breakfast. Don’t be fooled. The rooms we had were adequate but not great considering the price. Very warm with no air conditioning.

We were very happy to be able to come back and we know it is very nice option to sleep over when going to Salzburg by car. We also visited Gossau lake from here.

There was huge group of people coming by 3 busses and the diner menu was shorten to Viener snitzel.

    7MichalPosted on: 8-16-2024

We picked this hotel as it was on right place to split our trip. We didn't expect anything to just have space to sleep over. We were satisfied.

The bunker bed upper place was without any restrainers and our kid was afraid to sleep there.

Dog friendly hotel at a great location near glorious waterfalls. It was an overnight stay for us. Delicious pankakes at restaurant.

The brekfast was not organized well. You had to find a coffee/tea/juice station in one of halls. Meal was not replenished in a timely manner. As we had to stay outside on a terrace with a dog, we had to go through the whole hotel with meal.

Location was great, private parking, nicely decorated

Rooms are very basic, breakfast could be more generous

    4FredrikPosted on: 7-28-2024

    Parking was free

We had booked a double room with a king-size bed for two people, but upon arrival, the receptionist informed us that the bed was too small. Consequently, we had to upgrade for an additional fee of 26 euros. Additionally, the bathroom shower had no curtains or barriers to prevent water from getting everywhere. I believe these issues are unacceptable and that the upgrade should have been provided at no extra cost.

    Poor

Expensive hotel - poor quality. Old and not comfortable furniture. The room was not clean at all, it was smelling no good, spiders in the corners.

    The viewThe beautiful building

Uncomfortably hot in roomsExpensive breakfast for what was offered

    3SaundraPosted on: 6-30-2024

I went downstairs for breakfast at 8:45. The hot food was already gone. There was left over brea, hard boiled eggs, and yogurt in bowls.Very disappointed. Didn't eat but was charged for it.

The room was sparse. Not one piece of soap, not one Kleenex, no refrigerator, no water. No black out drapes, full sun. No air conditioning. Very warm. I was laying on the bed and the front desk guy unlocks my door, comes into my room without even knocking! He need me down stairs...

    1AlbertoPosted on: 1-14-2024

The breakfast was ok, nothing to write back home about.

The customer service was dissatisfying and felt unwelcome, the owner ignored my presence and forced to acknowledge me after another guest addressed him. One of the two rooms we reserved had a strong mold smell due to the rotten wooden bathroom door. The walls were so thin, that we could hear other guests passing gas, sneezing among other sounds.

Location: near the highway, and the mountains

Butter at the breakfast was expired (over a month). We pointed out, the waiter removed it, and the next day it was again at the table ? We didn’t want to eat anything else except fresh fruits, since of course, you don’t know if the other products (ham, cheese, etc) were also expired ?
