Hotel Sonnenbichl "garni"

After we arrived in the night we asked for breakfast for the next day and we told the staff that we are willing to pay for it but the gentleman at the reception said it is too late which was kind of odd.

Amazing location, very friendly and welcome stuff, amazing breakfast and very relaxing pool and sauna zone!

The view from my room was amazing and was relaxing to sit on the balcony and just relax. The bed was very comfortable and the room and bathroom were spacious.

Quiet location, outside of the villages. Nice little indoor heated pool area. The breakfast buffet was small but nice.

No restaurant on site, limited options close by.Rooms are a bit dated, although still good.

The hotel was in a beautiful location and there was parking right outside. Close to all the attractions we wanted to see.Breakfast was lovely with a great selection and friendly helpful staff

We love this place. We stayed at the first night after a long flight from Thailand and everyone had a nice sleep. I takes a short driving from Neuschwanstein Castle to the place.

Lovely room with a balcony with a superb view over the village and the Bavarian alps. Location ideal, in a very quiet spot just outside the village, but with only a short walk into the village for restaurants, etc. Only a short drive to Hohenschwangau for King Ludwig's castles, but away from the hoards of tourists. Wies church nearby. Excellent breakfast. Marcus and his partner were the perfect hosts.

Breakfast was good: bread, ham and cheese, cereals, tea and coffee, boiled eggs.

Hotel is in nice location, view is amazing. Room was clean and comfortable. Sauna and swimming pool was pleasant and almost empty.

You need to walk or drive for dinner.

Excellent views from the balcony.Good variety for breakfast.Pool was clean and the water was just right for swimming.There were plenty of white fluffy towels.This hotel is ldeally situated for visiting King Ludwigs castles.

I have traveled a lot in Europe in the last 20 years, but I have NEVER felt so badly received in a hotel.They overcharged me by 40E for my 6-year-old son, without offering other conditions than those originally booked.The reception staff had an unpleasant and cold attitude, making me feel uncomfortable. It is clear to me that Eastern Europeans are not welcome in this location with hotel claims.From my point of view, the location is just a family guesthouse. The rating on Booking has no way of being real under these conditions, as a result I DO NOT RECOMMEND this location, which is hidden behind a barn and far from the town of Fussen.

The reception staff needs better training in the hotel field, the room I stayed in does not have AC, and the most beautiful place in the room was the bathroom.

The property was spotless. The couple who owned it were friendly and really helpful. Would definitely stay here again - beautiful views, a pool ,sauna and tennis court.

You do need a car. The WIFi was poor but I think it might vary dependent on where you are.

The hotel is great. Very helpful personel, very picturesque place, abundant delicious breakfast, very location. The rooms are very large, with a balcony overlooking the Alps. The beds are king size. There is always a parking space.We will definitely visit again.

Everything!!! Staying here was one of our top highlights of our 9 week European vacation. Sitting on our balcony overlooking the snow topped mountains and listening to the cowbells off in the distance brought an unbelievable contentment we will remember always. Because it was so centrally located, we used this as our base to head off in various directions on daily excursions and it was wonderful to come ‘home’ to every evening.

The receptionist was very friendly and helped us out when we forgot to get silverware with our takeaway food. The shower was also AMAZING, huge, and with hot water and strong pressure.
