Hotel Vier Jahreszeiten

The room had a great view and breakfast was amazing. The location was close to everything.

We arrived via train and it was a bit of a hike up to the hotel. Google Maps directed us to an uphill gravel hiking trail, which was challenging with our luggage (Note: take a taxi). The lack of an elevator/lift could be a challenge for some.

We stayed here with our two small children; one an infant. The staff and owners were so focused on doing anything to make our stay even better. The rooms are very clean, breakfast was delicious and free. Parking was 5 Euros. The view is breathtaking.

Absolutely nothing. These new owners, a young couple, know how to run a business. Their staff is happy and pleasant, most helpful.

Breakfast was terrible. Staff was terrible and did not have the specific rooms promised.

Loved the view from the room of the Alps! Had a patio with table and 2 chairs. Living are comfortable and room was spotless. Prime location and easy walk to the center of town.

Had to carry luggage up about 20 steps to just enter the hotel. Then had to carry up another 20 steps to reach an elevator. The parking is limited.

Fairly convenient to downtown. The dining room and breakfast was great. Nice view.

Elevator did not reach all floors. Room was stark and poorly furnished.

Authentic Bavarian hotel centrally located with breathtaking views

The location was perfect for me. Close to everything. The room is a good size and very comfortable. The breakfast was amazing. Many choices and all good. Very nice staff.

We’ve stayed here several times and it’s always pleasant. Great location, great price, bed and pillow are comfortable, breakfast was great and the staff was awesome. There are a few free parking spots for the hotel across the street. Or they will reserve you parking in a private garage right around the corner. We love this city and just enjoyed Krampusnacht there!

Loved my stay here! Staff kept my luggage before check in and provided me free of charge a guest mobility card so I could travel around for free! Location is prime between train station and old town. My room was simple but very clean and very comfortable. Complimentary water on room and tea/coffee by the reception.Breakfast buffet starts at 7am and had a very large variety of items.Special thanks to Danylo for replying my messages promptly and help me find a lost cable!

This is a very old fashioned hotel which I like in Bavaria, rather than the very modern styles. There are many sitting rooms and there is tea available anytime. What is special about this hotel is that it is the most reasonable hotel in Berchtesgaden and the breakfast room is not only excellent (food) but it has a panorama view of the mountains. The buses from the bus station to the hotel area are free and there is a Vier Jahreszeiten Str. stop on Maxmillian Str (main street for buses)

As an older hotel, there are many, many steps. It was a problem for me with suitcases as I am 80 years old. Yet, there was another elderly woman with luggage from hell like me and she was staying there. Another woman had a walker but she was with her son. Without the luggage, I was fine but with 2 heavy suitcases it was a struggle.

The sauna needs *much* improvement.* It's rented out one booking for an hour at a time. That's fine. But there is no mechanism to monitor mishaps. If somebody who went by themselves were to faint in the sauna, there's not even an emergency off button.* Cold shower largely non-functional. Cold pool drained and unavailable. Was unable to cool down properly between sessions.* Just two resting chairs is no good.* No clock, so one has no idea how much time of one's rental has passed. (Taking a watch into the sauna is not a good idea)* No water to drink! That's probably dangerous.* Very uninviting decor.

The staff was very helpful. The location was excellent.

No elevator to the first floor

The breakfast buffet was one of the better ones on our 10-day trip based largely on the selection of items. The breakfast room also had a beautiful view of the mountains, which in the morning this time of year, was spectacular to observe.

The property is a little worn, but still quite adequate. It lacks the superlative charm that is present in other Bavarian locations.

Love this hotel, stay here every time I'm in Berchtesgaden. Beautiful views and best breakfast in town.

Location and proximity to a laundromat

Internet did not work on the 3rd floor where our room was located. The bed was very uncomfortable.

The hotel building layout is interesting with historical references. The staff is awesome and the breakfast was the best I had in German hotels! I would love to stay there again.

I didn’t like the uphill walk to the hotel from the train station but it was my choice to walk instead of getting a short taxi ride. However, even walking is just a 10 to 15 minute journey.
