Nice big clean room with a balcony, great breakfast!

Location and food were great.

Room was noisy and with no a/c we had to leave windows open. Bedding was mediocre at best. The bathroom only had a very high tub that you had to climb into with a shower attachment on a wall, no walls or shower curtain around it and impossible for elderly people to use.

Very clean and well-kept. The breakfast was fabulous! The location was perfect for our plans.

The location, beautiful scenery and near the shops and christmas market. The breakfast was delicious, the rooms were spacious and the restrooms were recently renovated. The staff was welcoming and friendly, great place to stay!

Everything was great

The location of Hotel Schwabenwirt was perfect—easy to get around Berchtesgaden and close to everything we wanted to see. The included breakfast was absolutely amazing, truly one of the best I’ve ever had at a hotel, even compared to major brands in the United States. The staff were incredibly warm and welcoming, always willing to give advice, help with bookings, and take the time to make sure we had everything we needed. Our room was very clean, spacious, and comfortable. Overall, the stay exceeded expectations in every way.

There wasn’t anything significant to dislike. Everything was enjoyable and well taken care of.

Breakfast was great. The reception was polite and had plenty of information for how to hike to kehlsteinhaus. Everyone was happy to communicate English and very fluent. Service was exceptional and so was the view from the room.

The single room was a bit cramped. Felt a bit claustrophobic.

The family room was exceptionally spacious, breakfast generous and hearty, the staff was welcoming and extremely helpful

A great location for walking to the train station or into town with a convenient, safe place to park on the property.

No issues. Property was Great!

It was very close to the train/bus station ( you can see it as you pull up ). There was a nice restaurant with, as far as I know, some traditional Bavarian music and dancing.

The outlet situation was pretty rough. We had a lamp on a table plugged into nothing for some reason. All of the outlets were in places that caused you to keep whatever you were charging on the ground. It was also just annoyingly hot for as September night. We had the window open but the beds nearest the door and farthest from the window were just hot.

Great location, wonderful staff, ample sized room, excellent breakfast! Would be nice to have a kettle in the room, but they have everything you need in - house.

Spacious, clean and comfy room. Very nice new bathroom and good breakfast. Also the seasonal dinner menu in the restaurant was very delicious. We had everything we needed for our short stay. Thank you!

Spacious rooms, great restraurant and right in the middle of all the activities we wanted to do/see - Eagles Nest, Berchtesgaden Salt Werks, Konigsee/Berchtesgaden National Park - very very convenient to all of that - either via car or by bus (right across the street). We drove to Konigsee (went @ 8 AM on a weekend) and the Saltwerks (5-10 minutes away) and took the bus to the Eagle's Nest/Kehlsteinhaus as we had heard the parking was tight (also very frequent busses). We did not have A/C but did have a third floor balcony - although overlooking the busy street and roundabout, the fresh air was great and the noise did not keep us from falling asleep. The breakfast area was pleasant and bright and dinner there was excellent. We were able to park in the hotel lot in front of the hotel or in the big lot behind the hotel (free from 5 pm to 10 am) every night - both of which were not only free but pleasantly easy to access with our larger SUV.

Although the location was fantastic for our daily travels, except for the hotel restaurant, grocery store, ice cream shop and the train station across the street - anything else/shopping/historic street was about a 25 minute walk - half of which was uphill.

Staffs at reception and in-hotel facilities are very friendly and helpful. Breakfast and ambiences is good. Location is very close to train and bus station. Definitely will choose this hotel if you go to this area again.

No kettle at room although staffs are very kind and nice when we asked for hot water at the bar downstairs.

The location is perfect—close to the train station and supermarkets (Lidl and Rewe). The staff are friendly and always willing to help, whether it’s explaining how to use the guest cards for bus discounts to Salzburg, sending postcards for us, or telling me where I could get hot water. Although the bathroom sink was clogged, flooded, and began to smell quite bad on the first day, the staff handled the issue promptly, and it was completely fixed by the next day.

The room has poor ventilation, and it’s hard for clothes to dry.Breakfast options are quite repetitive.

Location was perfect and the breakfast was very good. Loved our room and how close it was to great restaurants and local sites. We'll definitely be back.

No air conditioning. It got a little hot at night.

This was a fabulous hotel in a beautiful region. The town itself has a lot of Bavarianl charm and the location is great for exploring. The staff was superb and the facilities were perfect.
