Pros +
- Beautiful views and quiet location. Access to hiking and biking trails. You can see eagles nest from the parking lot.
- It was minutes away from Kehlsteinhaus, but not by much else, which we liked. You travel up a single lane road and come to a mountain village with a church. We had an entire apartment which was very spacious for a family of 4. Breakfast was good
- Didn't catch the man's name at front desk ,but was very informative on the area and history. We had a great experience. All the staff was great . And the village residents friendly . Very comfortable and nice place . Thanks to all staff .
Cons -
- The area right around the hotel is getting old and tired. The restaurant area has limited options and there is not anywhere near by to get a meal. You would have to take a car to get into town.
- Just that we had to leave.
- It was so hot in the room, it took forever to cool it down in the evening. Was more expensive than I thought it should be.

I liked the view from the room, and the beds were comfy and the breakfast was decent!
It was so hot in the room, it took forever to cool it down in the evening. Was more expensive than I thought it should be.
a well maintained space with all the necessities available and very near to all the major attraction
The inside of the building is as beautiful as the outside of it. The staff is outstanding! They sell a limited menu of hot food in the evening which came in handy when we arrived and hadn’t eaten dinner. Breakfast buffet was great. The elevators were located well and made it very easy to get to our rooms. Has plenty of parking.
Parking was confusing when checking in. Area with a ramp for luggage was private parking.
This is quite a strange review... Objectively, the hotel deserves a much higher rating, but what can you do — reviews are written by people. So, objectively:The hotel is located in a very picturesque and absolutely quiet area with beautiful views. Spacious and clean rooms (two rooms), new bathroom fixtures, excellent breakfast. The room has a refrigerator and a small built-in kitchenette with everything you might need (plates, knives, forks, etc.). There is no restaurant or café in the area. You can have dinner at the hotel, or you need to drive somewhere. There is very small "supermarket" in the area.
What we didn’t like was the atmosphere and the attitude. Overall, the staff’s behavior was correctly polite but cold, with the exception of one employee. You get the feeling that you’re constantly in the way.A specific example: when we arrived, there was no hand soap in the room, and instead of simply giving us some soap, a personal inspection of the room was carried out. It’s completely unclear why. We were paying about 200 euros per night — were we being suspected of stealing a 40-cent bar of soap?
Location
Very odd shaped, hard to maneuver, beds and pillows were not comfortable, the host didn't seem to believe me when I told him I had reservations.
It was extremely quaint and lovely little town. It was so close to what we wanted to see, beautiful views.
Beautiful location in the mountains above Berchtesgarden but definitely need a car to get there. Limited restaurants nearby.
Room was good space, clean, quiet. Location was a bit far from city but it should be fine if you take a car. Breakfast was quite nice
WIFI was very weak, almost could not use. Signal did not reach to the room. Staff were very impolite. I have never met such staff in Germany. 1: I arrive earlier than check in time. 2 staffs (male and female) at the reception. Both noted that I came in. Female talked on the for long time so I couldn’t ask my question to her. Male staff came in so, I asked possibility early check in but he spoke Germany so I said I don’t speak Germany and asked early check in. He said just “No” and ignored another question. 2: We wanted to eat dinner but request must before 18:00. We didn’t know and just came to the restaurant space. One female staff said “what do you want” with very mad attitude. We said want to have dinner. She said “why do you came to late, must order before 18:00”. We didn’t be informed that before so apologize but she continued complained and went to the kitchen. We apologize once and give up to eat because of the time. She changed face said “ah, ok” with smile. It was not attitude to the customer. 3: Same male staff, when I wanted to check out, other guest was on the check out process. I waited and when my turn was coming, he ignored again even though I put the room key on the front desk. I waited but he didn’t accept so I said “can I check out?” He stared speak German. I said I don’t speak German then he stared to speak English (actually he speakers English well) Staff in this hotel were very strange. Looks like discrimination to the other race.
Superbly located hotel. Large, spacious apartments, very nicely furnished. And as a plus, very friendly staff to find our forgotten device and mail it to us :).
Nothing of note.
The style of facility was modern
It was far up a mountain. We couldn’t appreciate location as we were there only 1 night. Would have stayed elsewhere closer to our morning tour if we knew more about location and area.
Great location Big roomComfortable bed
The room and corridors had a cigarette smellOutdated furnitureDirty carpet
Nice and peaceful hotel surrounded by nature — perfect for a relaxing stay. Room was well clean. Kitchen equipment is good. Nearby hotel there is a playground for kids which kids really enjoy playing.
Overall experience was good, but one front desk staff member (woman with dark hair)spoke to us disrespectfully on our second evening. While sitting in the lobby with my kids, we were questioned about our room number in a way that felt suspicious and unwelcoming.A small incident, but it affected our impression. With better customer service, this place could be excellent.
Great breakfast. Room very big. Espresso machine incl. Quiet mountain hotel.
Bit disjointed getting from building to building, floor to floor but ok.
Beautiful location, friendly staff, nice, comfortable rooms
Clean, great location, good breakfast, nice people
Breakfast was very very expensive and we were not told that it was not included with the booking until we were checking out.
Very good breakfasts. Rooms are clean and cozy. Fair price for the facility.
Washers and dryers are a nightmare to operate for those who don't speak German.
The room was clean and comfortable. Breakfast was good.
They didn’t have a lot of options for dinner. There is only one restaurant walking distance and they were booked. We had a “garden view” it was just a hill of grass.
