Cons -
- I did not like the fact that I could not park my own car. Charges for parking were reasonable, but would prefer to have the option to not use valet service.
- If you have children and want to swim with them , you should check the time (there is limitation for children swim) and kids room doesn't open every day . And they don't smile much (a little bit freaked out )
- Location was hard to reach in and out so you’re forced to stay at evenings since the road is difficult to ride especially when it rains. The restaurant Johan grill was way pricey and medium food quality. What really pissed me off was the fact that they force you to pay 10-20 Euro for parking although they are isolated and no other option for you to park. I think for the money they charge they could include the parking payment.

Room and view in our terrace suit fabulous. The breakfasts are beyond awesome and we loved breakfast til 1200 on weekdays and Saturday and 1 pm on sunday.
4.50 € water in fridge ….about 10 oz
As you may guess, this 5 star superior hotel is exactly that - superior. Clean throughout, great rooms (I had the mountain view) mattresses superb quality. Numerous dining options in the hotel, really good kitchen. Also for the breakfast, really good service. The location is amazing if you are into hiking and the hotel also organizes tours, so you can just check with the tour desk. Don't forget the use the swing!
Everything was perfect.
Situated in the mountains, this hotel is one of the nicest I have ever stayed at! Very friendly and helpful staff and fantastic food! A real pleasure!
This was an extravagant trip and extravagant stay for us. Kempinski treated us very very well, upgrading our room, and provided a celebratory birthday cake….so nice! The breakfast was extraordinary, the views magnificent, and the pool was WOW! What a background.
It is literally a fully established complex feels like its own town. Its a walking distance to the kleinhaus bus station. A literal 10 mins walk. This is one of the places where you can literally book and stay without leaving the hotel and still enjoy your vacation.
Its location, cleanliness The breakfast was wonderful The staff amazing
The food in the restaurant was not at the hotel level
Absolutely stunning location with exceptional views. Extremely friendly staff. Over the top hotel that caters to every need. Excellent trails. Bus stop nearby. Spa area and pools are amazing. We had a view of the Eagles Nest. Can’t say enough about this place. Incredible breakfast
The Kempinski is an outdoor enthusiasts, who appreciate comfort, dream. The setting is stunning! Set in a breathtaking, historically relevant setting, it’s surrounded by hiking trails and caters to those seeking luxury as well. I was blown away by the sheer yet simplistic beauty in and out of the hotel while my step daughter spoiled herself in the spa. A 5 star experience. Our dinner at 2 Michelin star Pur surpassed expectations!!
Very comfortable 5 star hotel located in very quite town Very clean room with great view in the deluxe panorama room Maissuni suite was amazing Breakfast was delicious with multiple variety and staff were awesome Reception staff were very helpful The outdoor swing was enjoyable
Everything. The breakfast was incredible. Sorry I missed one day but I had early reservation to go to Eagles Nest. Hiking the mountain is very easy and pleasant. Staff extremely helpful.
Loved everything.
Very beautiful facility. Perfect hotel
We wrote that is my wife birthday and we didn’t get any attention
Quiet luxury — loved the spa, surrounding region and food at the restaurants!
Opulent, incredible, lavish, amazing. Most beautiful hotel I have ever stayed in. Incredible mountain views combined with amazing staff and a perfectly designed and maintained hotel. Indoor and heated outdoor pools were very enjoyable. Nice gym to burn off the great food. Breakfast was delicious. To order eggs and an amazing selection of everything else.Located in Obersalzberg below the Kehlsteinhaus (Eagles Nest) this incredible hotel gives you easy access to Berchtesgaden's many attractions. Easy walk to the bus boarding area for the Eagles Nest. Buy your tickets on-line in advance. Open mid-May to mid-October. Documentation Museum (History of the Nazi leadership in this area and atrocities) is located on the backside of the vehicle parking area for the Eagles Nest bus tour and is open year around.Visit the salt mine and take the fun tour and make sure you drive to the Konigssee and take the boat tour and enjoy some hiking. If you are a true adventurer you can walk to the Kehlsteinhaus from the hotel. They will give you a map. All trails so no bus conflict. Very well marked with sign posts. Said four hours but I did it in one and a half. You don't need to take the elevator to the Eagles Nest at the bus turn around area. Walk down the road 200-300 meters and a trail takes you to the top.
- location is incredible - staff were professional - exceptional hotel overall - fridge is cold- service was top notch - the concierge were helpful - spacious rooms- a serene haven for nature lovers- breakfast is varied and delicious - the view around the hotel is unbelievable
The worst thing about my stay was the pillows they were very soft and annoying but the experience was very pleasant that I ignored the issue
Simple but spacious and comfortable rooms, beautiful common areas and stunning views of the mountains. Delicious restaurants and very friendly staff
One of the best hotels I have experience with. Very nice room, superb hotel staff, great restaurants and bar.
Maybe just charge 20EUR for parking per night.
