- The room was large and comfortable with plenty of room to move about. Everything was very clean. The breakfasts were good with a fair amount of choice. The surrounding area and town was lovely with two parks and several shops and cafes nearby. We were in a good location to visit many areas in the Black forest and not too far from Freudenstat ( lovely town) and Heidelburg (lovely town) Also fairly near to the B500 road which we had planned on driving on. Baden Baden was near as well.
Cons -
- The bar was shut, so any drinks were bought from the fridge in the bar area, also the evening restaurant was only open between 6pm and 7:30pm and was like a cafeteria, this did not appeal to us, so we visited a local restaurant next door for three nights and then on our last evening as Abbas was also shut, we bought food from the local supermarket to eat in our room.
- The breakfast can be done better, always the same boring options.
- After a long and tiring journey, we walked into the hotel only to be told by the receptionist that we couldn't stay there because we had not told them in advance that we would be bringing a dog. I had chosen the hotel especially because it claimed to be pet-friendly. Thankfully, another colleague intervened and they decided to give us a room, but informed us that we would not be allowed to leave our dog alone in the room (which we have done many times before) and that we would need to keep the dog with us at all times, even in the restaurant, where would have to sit in a far corner away from the other guests. Needless to say, we did not feel welcome. The breakfast was limited in the choices it offered. No croissants, the fruit salad came out of a tin and nobody offered us any hot food. The glasses in the room had not been washed properly and there was toothpaste residue in the bottom.

Very well maintained, great location, staff are absolutely fantastic. They are very warm , loving and caring. I would like to appreciate Gul and the staff from Bulgaria at the kitchen for being so kind , caring and loving to me and my friends. They went out of the way to help us feel comfortable at breakfast when we missed the time . I also felt warm and welcomed by the reception, they arranged new board games for the group during the stay.It was a wow experience. We would definitely come back here .. thank you so much. Appreciate it.
I like the friendlyness of the staff. I like that the rooms are clean and quiet. I also love the location.

Nothing worth mentioning.
In spite of payment being made at the time og booking they asked to make the payment directly resulting in double payment. Lift developed fault for long duration.
Great location, very nice room, secure underground parking.
Perfect location very close to the train station.Very spacious and clean room
Average breakfast.Poor self service restaurantThe bar closes at 9pm
Location
This hotel is not with it’s money:-I had no water nor cup in my room ???-the bathroom products consisted of body-hair wash combo, no conditioner, no additional products-the bathroom had dirty/used bathroom interior
Was in good location
Although asked and informed about taking a small dog, and also confirming with the owner/manager at the time of checking in. When we went to room the owner chased as and demanded an extra 25 euro per night for the dog. When I remonstrated owner/ manager become quite aggressive and I would have immediately checked out were it not for the fact that we were tired after a long journey and I did not want to start looking for a new property. Also the room had no facilities like tea , coffee etc and when I asked whether we could go to the bar for a beer I was told that this was closed as there were not enough residents.I also had asked about parking and was told that their underground car park was an extra 10 euro per night and that I could park outside in a pay and display area. After having checked in and organised parking we discovered that the hotel also had a free car park at the rear of the building. Overall the experience was less than satisfactory especially the manager with his scruffy jeans and attitude.
Clean, quiet and spacious room; great location.

Perfect location in Bad HerrenalbSpacious roomsGood breakfast
The room was very nice and confortable. And they gave me a quiet room.
The only thing that I did not like was the hard pillows. I could not sleep well.
spacious - nice staff good garage
no drinking water or minibar. No coffee or tea facilities. hard pillow (1 each)Booking.com said room with panoramic view…. see photo ?
Very central and very quiet. As a vegan it can be difficult to get a variety to eat at breakfast. This proved to be the case at this hotel. There was some plant milk and a nice selection of fruits. There seemed to be a fair variety to choose from for those without restrictions.
The last weekend in September was cold. We sat in our room wrapped in blankets as the heating was not on. The room we got had a small double bed. It certainly was not what we thought we reserved. We had contacted the Kitchen Manager before travelling to discuss vegan options for dinner. We got a vague answer that something could be done. When we went to eat, we saw that there was a Buffet available - nothing for a vegan other than some salad. The manager told me he would do some spaghetti with oil for me. This I refused. In the end I had a nice plate of vegetables and salad. There were scrambled eggs and boiled eggs at breakfast but no sausage and bacon. I found this hotel not to be 4 star. The entrance had weeds and dead plants to welcome you!
The food, the room, the staff, excellent dinner buffet, very tasty and range of food, good location
Maybe some deserts for dinner and breakfast, sweet, no air-conditioned room, in the summer, very hot
Excellent location, comfort. Amiability of personnel.
Not the case
large spacious rooms
limited evening menu which was due to close shortly after arrival.
Central location in centre of town with own underground parking.Particularly friendly and helpful staff. Very clean.
This is a former clinic which has been made into a hotel, but it is vast and characterless. No proper bar and no one ever in public rooms, because no atmosphere. Fairly basic choice at breakfast in a drab breakfast room.
