Pros +
- The entrance area, the spa, and the dining area are beautiful and well-maintained.
- No phone, water or ice in or near the room.
- The location was fantastic—right next to the Kurpark and just 200 meters from the town center. The suite and panoramic views were spot on. The hotel features beautiful decor, stylish interiors, and a lovely garden.
Cons -
- 1. The shower/bath fixture was broken when we arrived. The front desk sent someone, who started looking at it when we left the room for a bit. I came back about 20 mins later and found the room unlocked and the person gone. When we returned later in the day, the issue hadn’t been fixed and our room hadn’t been cleaned. When I went down to the front desk at 10:15pm, no-one was there, so I waited for a while until I was rudely told by the manager that I should have been aware that the front desk was not occupied after a certain hour and he told me how I was inconveniencing him by asking for towels.2. Rooms have near zero amenities (no phone, no fridge, etc.)3. The parking garage is not adequate and the spaces is made for small fiats, not our Station Waggon.
- The entire suite was cold and no phone.
- Unfortunately, the Wi-Fi connection was unstable at times. Breakfast can feel a bit chaotic during peak hours due to the crowd, and the staff seemed slightly overwhelmed. The hand soap in the room wasn’t refilled during our stay. The wellness area—especially the pool and sauna—could really use better changing room and shower facilities.

Secure parking. Familiarity as have stayed before.
I find the restaurant experience a bit awkward each time I stay. It’s like they are always surprised to see me and wondering why I’m there. It’s bizarre Nice and polite but just a unique experience. The water is inconsistent when having a shower. Sometimes runs very very hot which is dangerous and then very very cold. Not a nice experience for showering. Would benefit from air con. So so hot had terrible sleep.
The hotel is located close to the station - you can walk with a suitcase in 15 minutes (although upward). The building is very beautiful and the interior is cozy. The staff is very friendly and welcoming, although not everyone speaks English. Bathroom was spacious. There are elevators, including separate elevators to the pool. Swimming pool and sauna are on the -1st floor inside. The breakfast menu is monotonous, but very generous in scope. For example, they serve a whole pot of coffee, not a cup. Special thanks for organizing the guests to watch the final of the European Football Championship on the big screen.
1. The main disadvantage of the hotel is the noise. We were placed in a room on the 4th floor, just above the main entrance, where the loading/unloading area for guests was, so there was constant slamming of car doors, and loud conversations from guests who completely ignored the time of day.2. The floor of the balcony is made up of boards with 2 cm gaps between them. (Foto). What is the point of informing guests that all the rooms are non-smoking if there are people smoking on the balcony and the smoke still comes into your room?3. There is no air conditioning in the room, it’s hot outside, the balcony door is open - noise and smoke are coming from there.4. In addition, the balcony of the next room is not separated by a partition, so the guest on the balcony can see everything that is happening in your room, so you have to keep the curtains closed.(Foto)5. We paid 20 euros to check in 3 hours earlier than check-in time. The room was not completely ready. There was a thick layer of dust on all surfaces - lamps, TV, furniture ledges. Obviously, the dust was not wiped off before us every day.6. The curtain rod in the bathroom was broken (Foto). This is not a drawback, but some strangeness in the design of the room. The huge eyes of a great gray owl look at you from the wall. Personally, I love owls, but not everyone is such a nature lover like me, oder?)) (Foto))Overall the impression of the hotel is good. However, I would suggest owners to improve at least the following:1) Provide rooms with earplugs instead of welcome chocolates2) install air conditioning in every room and/or ban smoking on balconies and in front of the entrance3) install partitions between balconies where they do not exist yet.
That they have a spa. Breakfast is great
Pool doesnt open until 7:30 which is too late if you are there on business.Wifi isnt that strong. Couldnt have a video conference going.
Mostly everything
I wish I didn’t have anything negative to say but unfortunately the hotel was missing the details that other hotels of the same category and price have, such as minibar in the room, especially if the hotel bar cannot be open when the staff is working at the restaurant at dinner time. Missing complimentary bottle of water; bathroom toiletries; sauna bathrobes and towels in the room; missing electric outlets by the desk; no enough chairs in the room (only one)We upgrade to the deluxe double room and had a great view from the balcony but we had only one chair in the room and no chair for the desk, no minibar and not private balcony. The balcony was big with a very nice view of the city and mountains but had no privacy, it was shared with the single room next door. The TV was missing the remote control, we had to walk to the front desk to ask for one. The hotel bars were closed.
The room was nice and had everything we needed. We had access to a balcony with a panoramic view and it was also extremely clean (as you expect in Germany). The pool and spa facilities were excellent too.
The property is very easy to reach with the train. Very comfortable place and nice paths for long walks. In Winter there is so much snow!❄️ The staff were very friendly and helped with every question. The rooms were very cozy and had nice big balconies. The pool was very nice and the breakfast was very delicious and various.
It could be cleaner and the massages should be a more cheaper.
Nice room, excellent breakfast buffet
Terrible parking situation. Garage is too cramped and was overbooked. It looked like the hotel allowed strangers to use the garage.
Overall hotel is lovely. Common areas are gorgeous, breakfast is great and the wait staff are prompt and friendly. Bed was comfortable and room was clean and good size. Hotel close to town centre.
1. The lady working the afternoon shift was not friendly for our entire stay. Gave minimal information about the property, our stay, the parking or the area so we were just left to figure it out ourselves, in a foreign language. It was difficult and not what we were expecting or needed after 30 hours of travel. To that point, if you don't speak German you will struggle here. All signage and the welcome pack is in German only, hence we could never figure out what the pouch on the door was about??2. We had a deluxe room. Paying the extra does not get you a kettle, cutlery, room phone or a fridge. Basic things I would expect, especially paying for an upgraded room. I had medication that I had to leave with reception in their fridge. Annoying and really impacted our stay as we couldn't access my medication easily or enjoy a cold drink for the 3 nights we were there.3. As others also mentioned, the parking is an absolute nightmare. Only 4 available street side parks, and the hotel park is so impossibly small I am not sure how anyone leaves without a damaged car. I understand a renovation is not possible but offering spaces that really should be for 2 cars not 1 is not the answer.Other than that, the stay was enjoyable.
Location, clean, spacious rooms
Buffet food in the restaurant. No option to choose froma la carte menu.
The hotel is situated in a tranquil spot in the hills of the black forest. The nearby town is small, but there are enough bars and restaurants to enjoy a short stay. It is very beautiful. The hotel itself it lovely, not modern but maintained to a high standard and has a very cosy feel. The staff are friendly and the rooms were clean. The hotel pool is nice as was the sauna, again very clean.
The breakfast room was a little too busy at 'peak' time, but if feel bad saying this because the stay was very pleasurable.
Everything including Breakfast, and polite friendly staff. It is one of the few hotels where the mini bar was for free, including beer and wine.
I can truely recommend the Hotel, but be careful in the Garage
Room was facing the road - noisy beginning at 6amVery Tiny Garage - extremely risk to manouver with the car
The location is great. breakfast is good.
But the parking place/garrage is very narrow.i got a scratch on my car. But they don't have basic facilities like a fridge in the room.
The reception and the restaurant area have a nice interior.
The reception stuff wasn’t very friendly, helpful and welcoming. The parking situation is terrible as the car park is very small and makes it very difficult to park. Its also not well sign posted at the car park where to find the hotel reception. Street parking is almost impossible. I wouldn’t go there again just because of the parking stress. There wasn’t even a welcome water in the room and the mini bar fridge was empty. Our hotel room and particularly bathroom was very dated and no water bowl etc for our dog in the room. The sofa bed for our son which we booked wasn’t prepared and after asking the reply was “I need to check if I find bedsheets and bedding for you.” After saying that it should be made by hotel staff we found it ready after coming back from dinner. We didn’t choose staying for dinner as it was buffet for around 38€ per person and went to the Greek restaurant just down the road.
quiet room, good location
- rooms are old and dated, don’t even have phones to call reception or another room- food choices at the buffet are very limited (service is good and prompt though)- parking garage super tight- poor Wifi upstream- extra charge for towels and bath robes are charged extra (in a wellness hotel!) if you booked via booking.com
Massage, Carpet, Fruits at Breakfast, Scenery, Entry room, there were many dogs
A step in the Sauna was broken, Steam room is on booking description but not available, Sauna towels were not available, no soy/oat milk available at breakfast, pool was not heated well
Very beautiful decorated lobby and property. Everyone was super nice and helpful. Bed was comfortable, pool was super relaxing.
