Pros +
- Clean comfortable rooms at a good price. The restaurant is out of this world!
- It's a decent stay for one night. The staff was nice and friendly.
- The room was nice and modern as well as the bathroom. The facility was very clean. The food in the restaurant was very very good. I had breakfast and dinner. I felt like I was eating like royalty. I'd stay again and again.
Cons -
- Everything was good for the price.
- The hotel seems quite outdated (old decorations and rug floors, Ikea standing lamps lighting the hallways instead of regular lights). The spaces were not too clean but the linen was fine.
- No complaints.

This is a nice, friendly hotel in a town with little to offer but a fantastic and huge fort. The restaurant is absolutely great, with locals as well as visitors dining. You don’t need to consider eating elsewhere.
The town doesn’t have much to offer. The hotel seems to have been mainly modernised, but not quite finished. Don’t let that put you off.
Nice quiet place on the edge of town very close to the Citadel. Staff were super friendly and helpful. The restaurant was good. The room is quite small for a 3 star hotel - but it's OK.
The heating control in our room had broken so the radiator was on full all night making the room very hot.
Easy to locate and park. Good view of the Citadelle de Bitche. Comfortable bed. Helpful staff. Tasty Rösti ( one portion enough for two!) Good self service breakfast.
Early noisy departures of other guests as room doors clunky! No hand basin in toilet ( separate from Shower cubicle). Uncomfortable chair in room!
Pleasant, friendly staff. Excellent restaurant. Good breakfast. Comfy bed. Good location overlooking the Citadel from the front of the hotel.
Our room was at the back of the hotel and would benefit from some upgrading.
Breakfast was good, but only used part of the dining room, which made it bit of a squeeze. Think about decluttering the breakfast room to make more space (lots of unused items of furniture which were unnecessary...), or open up the other part of the dining room.
See above.
Very nice hotel. Good facilities, nice bar area and outside area. Great food. Would come again. Thanks.
All good.
Easy to find and the accommodation was good. Restaurant offered a good choice at a reasonable price for the evening meal. Great view of the Fort
Wi fi was quite poor with weak reception and band width
Friendly staff on arrival. Great beer. Excellent food and service.
A little dated but still perfect for our needs.
Great location overlooking the fort
Interesting setup with a huge vivarium housing two bearded dragons - very cool but it had an odour.
Made to feel very welcome by helpful friendly staff. Tasty hot food - frogs legs were amazing. Comfortable room with heated towel rail to dry our wet clothes.
Lovely location with ample parking space on site. Nice seating's area outside with a view of the Citadel. good restaurant serving some local food and wine.
Room was a little small and twin beds small.
Won’t be returning
Very dark and dingy and smelled of smoke even though it was no smoking Even the towels in the bathroom smelt of smokeThe garden area had dog faeces in the grass so you had to be very careful where you stepped The staff wore T-shirts with images of shirts and ties which was very tacky and the hotel looked very run down and dated. There appears to have been an attempt to refurbish in some areas on what must have been a very tight budget We couldn’t wait to leave
I didn't like a lot to be honest and I'm always giving places the benefit of the doubt - everyone can have an off day but this place is poor. Bed was clean and comfortable and the mirrors were clean - I really hope they were one-way.
On arrival it seemed a bit tired on the outside but that was only the start. There's a sign downstairs for no smoking which is not being adhered to. There are ashtrays on the room balconies and somehow that will never drift back inside the rooms. As a non-smoker I hate the smell and it's everywhere, downstairs, the lot. I wanted to leave as soon as I arrived. I didn't complain, so that's my fault 100% but I was part of a group and all of us just wanted to get out the following morning and move on to our next accommodation; it was the low point of our trip. How on earth you can make towels smell of nicotine and rust is beyond me and we all commented on how the bathrooms had been modernised but none of them had extractor fans - that's a disaster waiting in the wings. The thing is, we had some fabulous accommodation at the same price so it wasn't anything to do with the money. Avoid this place, it feels like the owner is squeezing the last bit out of a place so much in need of refurbishment. And now, just when you think you think this review is over - you need to know that your child should go nowhere near the grass on the playground or golf areas. The amount and size of dog faeces is astounding. One pile left the morning we departed was worthy of a prize, I was looking for a flag to put at the top. I felt sorry for the gardner who was strimming the grass - at least there would be a good spread of nutrition into the air and surrounding horticulture.
Didn’t like anything about the property
Very dim and poorly decorated. Bath towels were grey and the place smelt of cigarette smoke. Dog fouling in the kids garden at the side of the property.
Nothing, it is an un loved building that is in desperate need of some serious money spending on it.The shanty town additions around the front of the building are a disgrace
Dog poo on the grass areas, abandoned crazy golf area. Poor outdoor furniture and surroundings.
Location
Unkempt gardens, dog faeces in the grass near the outdoor seating
Very out dated accommodation, mould on the room ceiling, dark and dingy staff uniforms very strange.Grass areas you had to dogde the dog muck.Would not be returning.
Everything outdated not very clean dog muck on grass areas Was like the bates Hotel from psycho
