Wonderful, classic hotel with great staff, breakfast and spa.

The hotel is rather grand in appearance, and inside it is also very grand-looking. Built in the late 1800's and very well appointed. The gentleman who checked us it was fantastic, and also doubled as the barman when we asked for a beer before it was really beer o'clock. There was a covered garage to park the motorcycles, and the surrounding gardens were very lovely. It was too cold and wet (late June!) to fully appreciate them. The town is busy and has many restaurants and shops. Primarily a skiing resort, the town seems to close quite early in the summer, and we found the restaurant we had selected had already closed when we got there (this is not mentioned as a reflection on the hotel, but as a guide for fellow travellers). The hotel was very comfortable.

If you need to checkout early, pay the night before, as reception does not open until 7.30am.

The wifi - connection and login was too much in this day/age. Also i needed to work and downloading a file was super slow, which made working far moe complcated then other hotels visited. Otherwise a great trip and would come back...just not to work!

Location, garden and quietness were great

Breakfast choice was very limited. We did not sample the bar or main restaurant

Firstly, the bike room was excellent. It had numerous power points for charging our e-bikes. It was secure.The hotel was still ‘grand’, if a little faded. It still has charm. The bedroom was huge with shuttered windows which kept it cool in the 30 degree heat.The grounds and gardens were beautiful.

The wifi. When it worked, which wasn’t often, was hopelessly slow.The breakfast restaurant was far to small for so many people. The tables were too close together and walking frames parked between tables made it very awkward to move around the self service. It wasn’t enjoyable.

The rooms are okay but not as good as the common areasWe never had proper hot water, only kinda warm even though we tried to shower in the mornings or at the end of the dayIt’s a bit overpriced but I guess it’s because we went there during the high season

In the room was too cold, there are old/traditional windows. But excellent Staff managed everything, we received an electrical radiator and it was perfect. There is a lot of space outside, hotel should build something for children - playground. There is also no space for children in the hotel. I would recommend this hotel not for children but for adults. For adults is perfect, very good location for ski.

Heating in the room. The pool should not be additional paid...it is not good 15 eur per person for 2 hours.

Excellent welcome, good meals and very good location. The design is very nice.

The view is incroyable.

Good buffet breakfast as well!
