- This place was great. Ursula, the hostess was very welcoming and helpful. She explained things simply and spoke great english. The room was great, comfortable bed, clean, everything i needed. It also came with a voucher to visit the spa/sauna around the corner which was great. Would definitely stay here again.
- The accomodation provided everything I needed for my stay. The staff was very friendly, the breakfast was also quite good. My room was nicely decorated. The only thing I could mention as a bit disadvantage that the bed was very soft for me.
- Really superb hotel in an old Engadin house in the beautiful village of Samedan. Run by the owners who try everything to make the stay memorable for their guests. Very well located for cross-country skiing.
Cons -
- Well, it's the Engadin, so prices are expected to be high. But at least worth it.
- Having to leave on the 05.45 train the morning after, I really felt like staying longer!
- Nothing everything just perfect.

My room was comfortable and clean, the hotel is beautiful. but most importantly, the people were so welcoming that I was sorry I was only there for one night. Sadly I had an early train and couldn't sample the breakfast or go to the thermal bath; that will be for my next visit!
Having to leave on the 05.45 train the morning after, I really felt like staying longer!
Ursula is a top host! so friendly and helpful! The rooms are simple, but cozy. Breakfast offers everything you need including very good quality teas and local cheese, honey or jam. The free access to the nearby Spa Bath is definitely a plus!
Central location in the picturesque and cosy town. Ticket to Mineralbad included in the price. The wellness is a great experience! The host, Ursula, is very friendly and warm-hearted.Kettle, tee, and coffee in the room. The room was nice and clean. Fine breakfast buffet, scrambled eggs are prepared if you want, some local products, good bread, and coffee!Bike storage in the garage.
Ursula Monhart is the heart and soul of this nice cozy place. She makes you feel you are entering a Ritz Carlton type of a place. Very nice very professional and just perfect after a 4 hour drive from Munich. Rooms are clean and nice. Breakfast hard to beat, just perfect. I really enjoyed my stay and sure will be back in late May. I received many valuable tips for my photography trip around the area.
Nothing everything just perfect.
Palazzo Mysanus Samedan is my favorite hotel in Engadin. It has friendly staff, great rooms, and a delicious breakfast. The complimentary spa passes are an added bonus! Samedan is centrally located, quiet, and cozy - perfect for venturing out and exploring nearby towns and nature.
Ursula and staff were super friendly and helpful. Thank you!!Really nice delicious breakfast. We could use the neighboring spa the day we checked in and also the next day when we checked out. We will definitely come back!
This quaint hotel was perfect for our short stay in the area. Very close to St Moritz and close to many amenities - from pharmacies to restaurants to supermarkets. Ursula, the host, is very lovely and does her best to make sure your stay is excellent! Looking forward to staying there again.
Nothing comes to mind.
Central location in a historical house in Samedan, friendly staff.
The bathroom was a bit small, but everything was perfectly fine and functional.
Varied breakfast and very attentive service.Everything was perfect, Ale's handling excellent...we thank him for taking care of us.
Great location, clean property, solid breakfast.
Shower gel only in small sachets.
good located, clean, freindly staff. free access to spa just behind the corner.
All was good
+ Room looks like in the photo. Our room was bigger than the average room in *** hotel. But, because it was in a maisonette, the useful space was less than the actual size because of the low ceiling+ Beds are quite convenient. + Samedan
- Cleanness. The room was dirty and dusty. There were dust and spots on the furniture and floor, dirt on the rugs, and even the tee spoon was dirty. Nothing changes on the second day (photos provided).- Breakfasts. Products (yogurt, eggs, etc.) are not replenished during breakfast (not after 9:30 nor after 8:30). Minimal selection of vegetables (photo provided). - Price. I would not complain about the price if the room were clean. However, it is around 50CHF more expensive than a room in *** hotel with higher quality standards (cleanness, breakfast, team, etc.) in the same city in the same season.- Toiletries. The only toiletries were many small (10ml or 15 ml) 2in1 sachets (shower gel + shampoo) that were inconvenient to use. To get hands soap, we had to ask at the reception.- Location and noise. The description says that the hotel is located near the church. However, it isn't any information that it is located exactly under the bell tower that rings even at night. - Reception and team. The reception is almost always closed. Stuff speaks German and Italian but not English.- There is a coffee machine in the room, not a teapot. So if you want to make tea, it will smell like coffee. Per day two capsules of coffee per two people are provided. It was my 4th stay in Engadin during this season; also, I visited the region many times in previous years and have never met such poor standards.
I like the fact that I could use the Mineral Therm Facilities, everyday if I wanted. It is only 3 minutes away from the hotel.
Before going, I asked if I could bring my luggage in the morning and the answer was yes, no problem. When I arrived the door was closed and there was a phone number. I called but got the answering machine. So I had to carry my luggage all the time till I could check in. Also the staff was not really client oriented. At the end, I did not even get a good-bye from the person who asked for the signature and I did not even got a receipt. It was also the first time that I paid fully through booking and had to sign a receipt by the facility.
Very little. It was clean and close to the very nice spa.
It is not a hotel. It is a pension or glorified B&B. Reception is non-existent. There are no common areas to sit, meet or read and no bar. Food is only served in the morning and it is really basic. If you don’t get down in time, the buffet runs out. When we finally got the room we had booked (after 1 night in a tiny room), the room was meanly furnished. 1 pillow ration. No soap. Shower blocked and not fixed, despite the owner knowing about it.
Very little to write about. The room was spacious when we eventually got into the one we had booked (on our 2nd night). Furniture was adequate. The room was warm. The house keeper / waitress was friendly. The boot room and parking were fine. It was a bit like Fawlty Towers once we saw the humour in it. The spa close by (2 minute walk) was really nice and a lovely way to spend a couple of hours.
It's not a hotel, but really a B&B / pension. There was no bar nor anywhere comfortable to sit apart from our room, ie., no separate area like a sitting or reading room. The only communal areas were outside the bedrooms or in the dining area which was locked after breakfast. The breakfast was a buffet and very limited at that. No hot food served, apart from our last day (4th). Food ran out if you were not early. Just a bit mean and definitely not good value at CHF20 per head.
Christina, the house elf was pleasant, Samedan was charming and the spa was surprisingly good.
Most things could have been better. We stayed in the Palazzo suite and the room was just adequate. Very small bathroom and few creature comforts. At least we had 2 small squares of soap and 2 pillows on the bed unlike our friends who got tiny rooms with low ceilings. 1 pillow and no soap. They asked for more and were told it was not possible. There was no service. When we arrived we had to telephone to get someone to let us in. The garage was frequently blocked by parked cars. All the lights were low energy dim lights and the place was dark. Breakfast was extra and bad value for money, with a limited range and once it was gone that was it. On the final day they actually allowed us to have hot food. There was no bar, no common areas, no service. Wifi was pathetically slow and the whole place felt mean. We understand it is under new ownership so ignore older reviews
The check-in/check-out was very efficient and the hosts are very responsive to online messages and quite helpful. The property is very central and ideally located, at walking distance from most shops, from the bus/train station and from the cross-country ski tracks. Samedan is a village way more quiet than St Moritz, yet most towns are easily accessible via train and an excellent and reliable bus network in the region. The property offers free transportation passes per day for each guest, as well as free passes to the Mineralbad & Spa that is right opposite the hotel, this is definitely a plus. The room was clean and of a decent size, the beds were very comfortable and overall the location is very quiet for a good sleep. Prices are decent for high season in the Engadine and overall good value for money for the savvy traveller.
The hotel building is quite convoluted, starting from the entrance gate that is very unpractical if one comes with a big suitcase (2x heavy entrance doors, unpractical stairs, low roof, etc.) The room was overall clean, yet smelly of recent paint or unpleasant cleaning chemicals?.. the shower sink also showed difficulty to drain the used waters. The breakfast was very disappointing for an alpine hotel : the bread was dry and clearly freshly baked, the cheese & cold cuts were processed foods, there weren't much healthy options and no alternative milks available for lactose-intolerant guests - a farm-to-table breakfast with investing in home-made foods and a proper coffee machine (La Marzocco, etc.) should be a quick win for this property (on that matters, highly recommend the Kunst Cafe down the road as an alternative).
