    Pros +

    • Nice view and recently renovated.
    • Breakfast, shower in bathroom, antiques all around the hotel, unique elevator
    • The property sits upon a hill and is walkable from the train station. It is an older hotel but the kind of place that is comfortable and charming. Our room had a big picture window looking out over a beautiful view of St. Moritz. There is a spa in the basement with saunas. And the restaurant downstairs is lovely.

    Cons -

    • Though we really did like the property and the restaurant, for some reason, our waitress simply ignored us. We ordered our first courses, my salad and his soup, and she said we could wait a bit before deciding on the entree. Then she never came back. Was she upset that we sat together on one side of the table? That I mentioned that we might want to share a second course? That we were from the USA? Maybe we were not dressed up enough. We never knew and finally got up to leave even though she had not delivered the check. We weren’t trying to abscond without paying but we were clearly being ignored. She saw us leaving and stopped us so that she could get the check. At this point we simply had nothing to say to her, but we payed her, of course. Strangely, I still loved the restaurant but not the service we received that night.
    • The only minus is that their wasn’t electrical outlets near the bad . You need to get up and connect elsewhere
    • Nothing of note

Being my first time in St.Moritz I looked for something close to the train station and to have a view. Hotel Soldanella has marked everything on my list and even more, they were receptive to my request regarding a room with a view. The room I had was amazing, the view of the lake and mountains in the morning and evening was more than I could hope. The staff was very professional and helpful in every way possible, from tips on what to visit in St.Moritz to directions if you wanted to go somewhere. Thank you

The style of the hotel was very unique, the room was big and the location was perfect, short walk from the Center but far enough of the noise .

The only minus is that their wasn’t electrical outlets near the bad . You need to get up and connect elsewhere

I loved everything about this hotel. It is very beautiful and perfect for a place like St. Moritz. The staff was very kind and attentive. The room was awesome. We had beautiful views. It was very clean and the bed was very comfortable.

Beautiful views of the mountains and lake. Reasonable taxi fare to train station. Charming old world feel.

Good location easy walk to town beautiful dining room reasonable price.

Perfect location and views of mountains, town and lake were beautiful. We enjoyed a wonderful breakfast in the gorgeous dining room which was amazing! The hotel has so much character, room was very comfortable; three of us stayed in the family suite which had two rooms, a small balcony and kettle with tea and coffee, large bathroom and two fridges. We would love to stay again!

Amazing restaurant and restaurant stuff! The soups were really good. So was the lasagna. Carbonara couldn't be eaten as it was too salty. Great view from the restaurant as well as from our room. Really breathtaking. Quite clean. Renovated bathroom with great shower. Price was very decent for the area and the beautiful view. Good value for money

Not a surprise that everything is rather old.Not impressed with the welcoming upon arrival. Cold but did the job. Nobody in the reception area later in the evening. We needed the WiFi password and it couldn't be found anywhere in the room and no receptionist in the evening picking up the phone. Wasn't particularly impressed with the breakfast. Limited options. But it did the job. Noise travels easily through the walls. I was woken up at 6 am by my neighbour coughing and clearing his throat of phlegm.

The view the view the viewPlus very clean, food was beautiful and staff top notch

No milk or coffee or hot chocolate in the room

Staff were helpful and spoke fluent English. Our room was large and had a beautiful view over lake Moritz. An older hotel but still in great shape with lovely high ceilings. Dining room had great views over the lake.

A bit too warm but windows opened.

    10JenniferPosted on: 10-1-2025

The view from our room was spectacular looking out over the lake. It was a quick walk to the train station. You do not need to take a taxi. We did on arrival because of the rain but once you exit the train station walk to your left and you will find the ramp to the escalators that take you up to the city centre. From there it is 5 minutes to walk a gentle incline to this charming hotel. Fabulous breakfast with stunning views from the dining room. Staff is friendly and helpful. Staying three nights we were given a pass for the gondolas and did that ever help with cost. So very thankful for it. It’s the small things like that which would keep me coming back. We even had dinner there one night and the food was very good.

Nothing not to like. It’s charming and the antiques dispersed throughout add to the old world charm.

The vote from our room was spectacular. The staff was lovely especially the man who helped us with bags and drove us to the train station

I wish we had been able to order a hot breakfast.

    10SunilPosted on: 9-30-2025

Very nice views and great location. Breakfast folks were awesome.

Little for from train station. You need a taxi otherwise fantastic from city center.

    9JiPosted on: 9-30-2025

The room was clean and stylish. The staff was very kind and helpful. We had our departure train at 7:00am, were not able to benefit the breakfast in the hotel. The lady at the front desk prepared breakfast boxes for all of us.

    10jimPosted on: 9-30-2025

Outstanding view, rooms very comfortable, great bar and dining room. ( except bar too smokey for us at night) food was outstanding and hospitality very nice. Great location. Use of transportation cards was added benefit

Smoking in the bar...caused us to leave a beautiful and comfy bar too early

    9JuliePosted on: 9-27-2025

It was totally updated, but had the classic and beautiful Swiss charm. And the views were amazing

The breakfast was marginal at best.

    8JanePosted on: 9-10-2025

Large comfortable room with lovely view of the lake. The hotel has numerous pieces of antiques which add a special touch. Very classy hotel.

Only tea was availabe in the room
