Backpackers Villa Sonnenhof - Hostel Interlaken

Hostel is very clean. Good coffee and excellent breads for breakfast. Good locker storage.

Room is dark, need more light. In the winter, day lights are very short for excursions or activities. Breakfast should be opened earlier so that we can leave by 7ish. Even though kitchen is available, why should we cook and clean when breakfasts are already paid for.

It is basic but somehow complete!You have all the things to stay in comfortable way, especially when you have to stay with a grand maLike we did with my 80 years momOn a wheelchair, this hostel is very comfortable.The staff really helped, and the breakfast is nice.

The size of room is small

The facility was great, and the staff were incredibly friendly and approachable. The spacious kitchen downstairs was clean and perfect for cooking and dining. Its location was ideal, being close to everything. The complimentary breakfast was a great way to start the day, and the coffee was excellent.

The Laundry machine/dryer is outdated.

Huge kitchen dining area with several cooking stations, and a common area upstairs to meet other travelers. The staff was really helpful with advice on hikes around the area. Location is next to a bus stop, but also walkable to both train stations in Interlaken. Great breakfast and tea all day!

The facilities especially their common area where you can eat your own dinner. It is also a direct bus stop so easy to locate.

Room area quite small, limited breakfast options. But both are acceptable based on the limited budget

First time stay. I was in a private single room, so cannot comment on the dormitory situation. My room was extremely quiet, and very comfortable. Solid concrete walls so could not hear anyone else. Handy personal safe in the room. Very nice crew on the front desk - ready to answer any travel questions about the area and make recommendations. Breakfast was good - continental as advertised but enough to start your day. Need a couple more toasters though; seemed someone always waiting! Great location - can walk easily to either main train station. Wifi was good enough for YouTube and FaceTime connections. I would recommend this place and plan to stay again on a future visit.

Provide only one towel per person during our stay. They charge 5 CHF for each extra towel.

Staff was unhelpful and would not let me change rooms after I could not sleep with roommates snoring

Great location, nice dining area, with coffee at discounted price. Kitchen area that we can reheat food and prepare simple meals. Lots outdoor space for us to enjoy.

Mini fridge at the room will be better.
