Waldhotel Unspunnen

Breakfast was amazing!! So glad we decided to add that on, although it's interesting that they never checked to see if people paid for it. The room was perfect for the three of us (2 parents and one adult kid). Sure, it was tight, but we were only there to sleep!Loved sitting on the terrace and enjoy a drink and take in the view!

Really nothing I can think of. It was a tad expensive, but I imagine that can't be helped.

Amazing stay! The hotel is in a perfect location near Interlaken West Train station and Winderswil. The staff was SPECTACULAR. They accommodated our every need, gave great recommendations for food and things to do, and were all around great people. They made our stay absolutely spectacular. We look forward to staying with them again during our next visit.

The location. The view was amazing. The room was comfortable and large. There was a balcony off the bathroom which was nice. Staff was helpful.

The water pressure was a little low (but still good). The floors creaked with every step.

everything in this hotel is great, but I had a car, probably without a car is not a great idea, the hotel is old but renovated, nice, very clean, confortable good size of rooms and bathrooms

I think that the breakfast could be better, it is not bad, but it is not as nice as the hotel and the staff

The view from our hotel room was beautiful. The staff were very helpful and friendly and restaurant was very good.

You had to walk down and back up a hill a short distance to catch the bus. This is not a problem for most but something to consider depending on your level of walking.

The sheets of the bed didn’t change through the 3 days (our stay)The place of the hotel need to move through high forest to be reached which is impossible at night so we have to pay 20 CHF to the taxi from interlaken to get to the hotel every night

Missing AC in the room

The staff, both at the front desk and in the breakfast room were very kind. The rooms and bathrooms were spacious and the amenities in the room were nice.

The lack of sound proofing between the rooms was unpleasant. When the toilet was flushed next door, it seemed even louder than in our room. Squeaky floors.Nothing that can be helped by the hotel but we like to sleep with the windows open and the noise from the autoroutr, deliverymen in the morning and other guests outside was unpleasant.

A very pleasant stay, beautiful views of the Alps from the hotel and nice breakfast everyday with a fantastic view of the mountains. They do room cleaning regularly.

Going uphill walking for 15 minutes to reach the hotel everyday because the bus stops down the hill only.

The breakfast is not worthy

Historic hotel with modern amenities. There was a guest laundry and a guest kitchen available.

As a historic building it had a few inconveniences but not that they impaired the visit. I would like grip bars in tub/ shower for the physically impaired. As an elderly woman I needed my husband to help me in and out.

Good property but location not as convenient without a car.

Walk to the hotel from city center was a bit hard being up hill.

Breakfast available, left a lot to be desired. You can request an early morning breakfast bag to go I think. Staff was very polite.

Laundry was available but only 1 washer and dryer (so always in use) and they close the laundry room and kitchen at 11pm so you can’t even use it early morning or late evening. It’s a 20 minute walk to Interlaken west and public transportation is more than ten minutes away and doesn’t shorten the walk. VERY out of the way. You pay your city take upon checkout so if you’re checking out very early you’re somewhat out of luck.

The staff is great and helpful.

The toilets are too small. The bathing space is very small.
