About

The Kurhotel Im Park was built in the 18th century and is surrounded by a large park and even larger forests. It offers a 3.3 ft² spa area with indoor and outdoor pools. All of the luxuriously furnished rooms at the Kurhotel im Park are equipped with bathrobes and slippers. Free internet access is available in all of them. The Aquarena and Thermi Spa's facilities include a 65-yard long slide, as well as a hot tub, a cold-water pool, Finnish saunas, a steam bath, a solarium and numerous relaxing areas. Bad Schinznach has the strongest brimstone source in all of Switzerland. When weather is nice you can use the hotel's bicycles, play golf or tennis or enjoy walks in the park or along the Aare river. Schinznach-Bad is located between Brugg and Aarau. From the Schinznach-Bad train station you can reach the Kurhotel Im Park within a 10-minute walk.

    Pros +

    • I didn't stay as it was grossly misrepresented. It is a rehab facility not a leisure wellness hotel.
    • a beautyful well maintained hotel and thermal bath
    • It was clean and service is great.

    Cons -

    • This property is misrepresented. I booked it as a spa/wellness hotel for a birthday splurge, but it is clearly a rehabilitation clinic. Nearly everyone onsite was a patient, nursing staff, or a visitor — I did not see a single other leisure guest. Signs at the elevator pointed to physiotherapy and neuropsychology, staff wore nursing uniforms, and wheelchairs were parked in the hallways. For someone celebrating recovery from major surgeries (and caring for a parent recently in rehab), this environment was triggering and completely inappropriate. My bill was over $300 for one night and spa access I did not use, and the manager refused cancellation even though I booked only two hours before arrival. It also took time to reach Booking.com support, and I am still waiting for resolution.Guests deserve transparency: this is not a leisure hotel, but a rehabilitation clinic.
    • it is rather a clinic these days, than in the 90ies
    • The beds are too small and it is possible to hear sounds from other rooms. I couldn’t sleep well.

Very cute receptionist with decent English. Very quick check in/out

The shower was very poorly designed in that the water was aimed right at the curtain, making all the water go all over the floor.

    Loved the thermal pools

that we were both able to eat breakfast outside although the weather was fabulous

    3HenryPosted on: 3-27-2024

Breakfast was not worth the extra 20 CHF. Very poor. For the cost of the room and the cost of the breakfast, it was a very poor deal.

This facility is for the use of elderly people. My wife and I are in our twenties, no one informed us of this. It was an uncomfortable stay and we left right away.

Very unfriendly and price and room was not as description price was almost three time the price quoted once arrived and was unable to change or cancel once arrived.

    No Iron in room.

    7GedPosted on: 8-16-2022

    proximity to thermal spa baths

Bedroom & bathroom very dated. No kettle or tea/coffee facilities supplied. Internet was very difficult (multiple attempts needed) to set up on all devices. One watchable english speaking TV channel (BBC 1)

great location, friendly staff. golf included in price was the highlight ???

    9LauraPosted on: 9-8-2021

Beautiful place with comfortable bed and nice pools. Good breakfast, large resting area, nice staff, big parking.

No kettel in room, no iron available, small shower with to short curtain, only one mirror in room. Only one person from recepcion is helpful - thanks Pascal! No cups for coffe to go.

    9UnknownPosted on: 3-28-2021

Friendly and helpful staff, conveniently located right next to thermal bath facilities, very comfortable beds, good soundproofing of the room.

Not too impressed by the food served at diner, plain and basic. This should be improved to reach the overall quality of the rest of the hotel.
