Great hotel, very friendly staff and a beautiful spot. I slept well.

We loved our stay! The staff, breakfast, dinner, and spa experience were lovely. We enjoyed walking in the Black Forest directly from the hotel. The room was immaculate and comfortable. We would definitely return!

Friendly staff, great rooms and super dinner, great for motorcyclists

Location was perfect to discover the south of the Black Forest and there are beautiful hikes immediately starting from the hotel. Family room was very spacious, comfortable, with the sound of the nearby water stream. Breakfast good and varied. Restaurant for evening dinner also good.

Shower water not very warm.

We arrived after an 8 hour drive, and a couple of hours later than expected. We were welcomed but asked to go to the restaurant before checking in, which was fine as we were hungry. Staff were welcoming and helpful. Dinner was nice (vegan set menu). Room was nice and quiet despite overlooking road - we could also hear a stream in the background which was nice. Plenty of vegan items at breakfast, including 'meat' and 'cheese' for a proper German style breakfast. Checkout in the morning was friendly. Altogether a good experience, and we would recommend.

The bar for after dinner drinks could be a little cosier. At breakfast we had a small plate of vegan 'meat and cheese', and would have liked more (although we didn’t ask for more, so that might be our issue!).

The hotel is on an mountain. Its a nice forest area 1000-1200 meters above sea level. I was late for arrival and had to call the hotel for help 0100 in the morning. I was lost 5 kilometers away. Thankfully the hotel staff was able to drive me to the hotel. Good brekfast was inclueded in my budget price. Room was quiet. But i had to have the window closed. The hotel has good standard. A very nice please to retreat from the city and refresh.

Its far away from any supermarket. You need a car or take bus in this area. Its tricky to walk.

the building looks very old but all the door can be closed quite silently. no squishy sound for the floor. very good isolation

halfboard is not necessary… menu food is better

Really nice location for hiking. Trails right outside the door. Good food and nice people. Close to Todtnau city.

“Ruhetage” on Wednesday. Hotel closes its restaurant services. They do offer a selv-service for drinks but other than that you are on your own. They have a partnerhotel you can go to which are very nice - and there is a campingsite which have a pizza place but that is not very nice at all.
