The staff including the manager are really friendly. Property despite being small is very nice, quiet and comfortable for the price paid.The staff even attended to some of our personal needs as some of our guests were ill.

The room was really spacious, and the two large double beds were perfect for our family of four. The hotel manager was super friendly and went above and beyond by arranging a late-night dinner for us. Really appreciated the great service!

The room really needed better cleaning and maintenance, especially the bathroom. The shower in our room didn’t drain properly, and when it filled up, some rubbish from the drain floated back up — definitely not a pleasant experience. We reported it, and two staff members came with a plunger to try to fix it, but it didn’t work. Luckily, since the hotel wasn’t full, the manager kindly gave us access to an adjacent room so we could use that bathroom instead. Unfortunately, the water pressure there was very low in that bathroom so taking a shower wasn't a nice experience in the hotel. If the hotel had been fully booked, we would’ve been stuck.Two other families in our group also had similar bathroom issues. It looked like the bathrooms hadn’t been deep-cleaned for a while — there were visible stains on the bathtub and tiles. The carpet in our room also seemed like it hadn’t been properly vacuumed for some time.The air conditioning wasn’t great either. It hadn’t been turned on before we arrived, so the room was really hot, and it took hours just to cool it down slightly.With regular maintenance and proper cleaning, this hotel could be much better — it just needs a bit more care and attention.

Breakfast is so dilicious .

Dinner was so dilicious .but as sri lankens the potion which we ordered with french fryes were not enough .better to order with rice except fryes.western breakfast is supper.

We would highly recommend Thissa Inn Hotel to anyone visiting Tissamaharama. It offers exceptional value for money with its amazing food and very good rooms. The staff were incredibly welcoming and always ready to assist with a smile. We look forward to the opportunity to stay here again in the future!

Location is great - we accessed Wirawila Lake (~30 minutes) and Iresha Super City / fruit market (~20 minutes) without any transportation. The room is huge, we didn't use even 1/2 of it.

There is only one window (which is balcony door, actually) in the room, it would be dark in the room with lights turned off.

The photos do not do this justice. The place is stunning and the pool was fantastic. The staff are so attentive! We were welcomed with drinks and sent off with a breakfast for our safari. The place is clean, beautiful and safe. Highly recommend!

Infrastructure is good. Location is fair.

Due to poor maintenance nothing works. Drains are not functioning. Mattresses are saggy n old. There is no phone in the room to communicate with the reception. No elevators. WiFi speed is so slow that one can’t make a whatsap audio call as well.

Rooms are so big size beds very large and confortable, room was very clean Dinner and breakfast buffet were amazing The pool looks dirty , we didn't try it

The staff are very friendly, especially the restaurant staff. They arranged our safari tour which we really enjoyed.

There were some positive aspects to our stay. The beds were neatly made and comfortable, with fresh linens and towels that added a clean, welcoming touch. The staff were friendly and helpful, making an effort to address issues that arose.

there were also several disappointing aspects. The carpets in the rooms were old, faded, and visibly dirty, with noticeable dirt on the surface. Of the three rooms we booked, two had blocked shower drains. While the staff spent hours trying to resolve the issue, it was only partially fixed, with limited water flow eventually restored.The dining experience was underwhelming. The dinner buffet consisted of rice, chicken curry, fish curry, a small salad, and ice cream—hardly enough variety to justify being called a buffet. The breakfast buffet was similarly sparse, offering string hoppers, potato curry, pol sambal, and a few fruits. The food selection felt minimal, and the overall catering seemed quite stingy.While there were some positive aspects, the issues with cleanliness, plumbing, and dining options made the experience less enjoyable than expected.

Very nice hotel, clean, good breakfast, good restaurant (we had dinner there), great staff !!!

At first we didnt have hot water in the shiwer, but they fixed it very fast.

stayed here a couple of times before and it was clear on my last visit that the hotel was in need of some improvements. Fortunately it is now. under new management and the difference was noted . Well appointed rooms with all facilities working including fast wifi. The staff were very helpful especially Arthur the manager who looked after my needs. Breakfast was plentiful and made to order on request. I will return !

Staff were very friendly and helpful. Really comfortable beds. Good showers and bathrooms. The buffet dinner was very plentiful with lots of choice for vegetarian guests. Very convenient to book a safari.

Unfortunately it seemed previous guests had left stains on the carpets in the bedrooms which made the room look unattractive.

The dinner was well cooked and tasty. The stuff was really friendly, kind and attentive.

We booked 3 rooms for a one-night stay for Yala safari. The entire place was surprisingly dirty, especially the rooms. The sheets had stains and the mattress protectors had mold and huge disgusting stains like if someone urinated on them. The bathrooms were so disgusting that we couldn’t use them. One of the rooms had spider webs and spiders on the walls. After we complained to the stuff they moved us to rooms on the 3rd floor which were significantly better. The sheets were still stained and with lots of small holes but they provided new clean sheets.

Apparently when you enter, you say that is a good hotel in some appearances

Actually in my room 3 rd floor:-toilet is clog-for shiwe is comin only boiled water both ways-curtain is dameg totally-breakast..I was able to choose only omlet and some fruits. No fresh juice. 1 person is serving barefoot
