A super friendly and warm welcome, well suited to the needs and preferences of international travelers. Fantastic safari tour at yala national park. very well organized. food & water provided.

Well maintained wash rooms. good variety of food options and big pool to enjoy the day. they had a fiber internet which was very fast. Safari can be arranged from the hotel and they do it for very good price.

rooms clean, great kitchen facilities, wifi was in great speed, unlimited and hot water. Good view from balcony. He arranged a great safari at yala which was superb adventure in my life.

The rooms are clean, well-maintained, and comfortable. The owner and his family are exceptionally warm and hospitable, ensuring a pleasant stay.

Host welcomed me. At the entrance with warm welcome. He made me feel comfortable and safe . Amazing staff! Amazing view! Amazing breakfast! Unfortunately we stayed only one night… next time we will stay longer!

The natural beauty of the place was breathtaking, with stunning views all around, despite the chilly weather. Water in the pool was cold, but the experience was truly amazing. Service was exceptional, and the food was absolutely delicious.

We stayed here for 1 night only. Very friendly stuff, quiet place, good breakfast and a lot of pleasant surprises from owner) we took a city tour from them. pool for activities. Very good stay overall.

Good location, great pool ( next to rice paddies!), good help with excellent Safari to Yala NP.

A/C stuck on 24 degrees is too hot

Nature, music from crickets, birds, frogs, … big room for 3 of us to sleep at night and big veranda with views on rice fields. Good air conditioned . Good price for this accommodation

Bathroom in need to repairs, should be some more hooks n shelves to put our stuff as we all live basically from suitcases.

Having read some of the older reviews had got me slightly worried but this really was a very nice place to stay and about the best value for money we had in Sri Lanka.Owners were friendly and they offered to help us with all kinds of things. We didn't book a safari with them for instance but we did use laundry service and that went really well.The downstairs rooms have a lovely little patio and of course there is that wonderful swimming pool! It gets hot in Tissa and we really appreciated it!The hotel is close to the lake and fruit bat trees and close to two great places to eat.

The room could use some TLC but it was a great place to stay if you can see through that. Where else do you pay a rate like that and get to use a swimming pool overlooking the rice paddies?

Safari organized by owner was very good, the driver was awsome with deep knowledge od animals

Spacious room, lovely view of rice paddy and surrounds. Pool was good. Close to the most amazing restaurant -Smoky Kitchen.

Rather run down, bathroom door was badly damaged. There was a frog in the overflow aperture in the hand basin. Spare help getting luggage up the stairs to the first floor.

Clean, tidy, lovely staff

The only thing on the minus side was that the WiFi was a bit sketchy, otherwise everything was great!

The room had very poor lighting

Great location, room was big with bathroom, mosquitoe net and bed were good.

Room was dusty, not well lit, my poolside view was of a muddy field. Lots of mosquitoes because I was there during rainy season. Owner was mainly interested in getting me to do a safari tour.

We booked the fan and no ac room without realising but we asked for the ac remote and was given it, although at a charge. We booked the safari through the hotel and had a fab time - 19,000 rupees each which was good value but we were sold a private safari but there ended up being 4 extra people. The location is good for a few restaurants close by and the room was comfortable!

The pool looked really murky and uninviting which was a shame as we were so looking forward to a swim!
