Very nice small resort style hotel conveniently located next to Yala park. There were not a lot of people, so it felt private and serene. The food was great, especially dinner buffet had variety of Western and Sri lankan food. Staff was attentive and the pool was nice.

Hotel can use some maintenance, lounge chairs next to the pool need to be replaced.

A beautiful garden resort with clean and comfortable rooms. Warm welcome with smiling people and refreshing drinks. We came back from the safari later than the checkout time, but the kind staff in the reception said it was no problem.

Room was clean, well air conditioned and very spacious. Grounds were kept pristine and the outdoor bar/chill out area was very much enjoyed! Great for evenings when it’s raining.

The pool was not cleaned well at all, it seems there is a drainage issue in the hotel as the room toilet smelt also. The western food at the hotel was not of the best quality however the local food was great. I would recommend sticking to local cuisine while staying here as much as possible.

Had an amazing experience at Chaarya Resort and Spa, Yala. The rooms were clean, spacious, and comfortable, surrounded by beautiful greenery. The staff was incredibly welcoming and helpful. The food was delicious, and the pool and spa were perfect for relaxing after a safari. Highly recommend for anyone visiting Yala or Tissamaharama!

We had a fantastic stay at Chaarya Resort! The room was spacious, clean, and very comfortable. The food was excellent, and we truly enjoyed every meal.What impressed us the most was the exceptional service. We had booked a safari trip at 5 AM and informed the reception that we would miss breakfast. To our delight, they prepared a breakfast box for us with multiple options, including fresh fruits, croissants, and juice. This thoughtful gesture made our experience even more special.The only suggestion I have is to seal the small gaps between doors and windows, as we noticed a cockroach entered through one of them.Overall, we loved our stay and will definitely return to this wonderful resort!

Boring with plenty of mosquito bites

Cockroaches in room, lots of mosquito bites, more than anywhere else in Sri Lanka, poor choice of food and over all boring vibe in the resort. We stayed in 14 different places on our trip, we couldn’t wait to leave.

One of the best hotels we stayed in while we were in Sri Lanka. The rooms were great, very clean and the service excellent. We also really enjoyed the pool area. The food had a great variety and was good.

The hotel is in Tissamaharama but not super central. However, safaris usually pick you up at the hotel and it was also easy to get a Tuk Tuk. For some reason, room service always left all the lights and the air condition on which seemed like a waste of energy to us. But all in all, it is a great place!

The food portions were small for the price paid. I spent 3,000 Rs (approximately $10) for a kid-sized portion of fried rice, which felt overpriced.The buffet dinner was quite basic and, surprisingly, did not include a Sri Lankan food corner. This was the first time I’ve seen a buffet without one.The breakfast buffet had a few Sri Lankan options, but the hot section was quite basic.

Housekeeping - Irons and other amenities are not provided in the rooms by default. Guests can request them, but they will only be delivered the next day. Additionally, these items will be retrieved from the room after use.

Spa and pool were lovely , bar staff were great and very friendly. Room was comfortable

Food was terrible . Limited options and always cold even at the start of service . Doors don’t fit properly so let the mosquitoes in .. bring lots of spray !

Nothing. I was given different and worst room.

Management is full of liars. They served me non-vegetarian food saying that it is vegetarian. I did not eat my dinner but still they asked me to pay for it.

- In the room: thoughtful design, high-quality furniture, very high ceiling. - The area is very clean and there are no dogs. - The friendly personal responded quickly to our requests.- Nice little things like a welcome drink and wet warm towels upon arrival, no-need-WiFi-password by reception, no need to ask for a towel by the pool, sterilized glasses in the room, etc.

We have’t noticed any significant flaws or problems. Nice hotel. I'm not going to pick on the little things because of the difference in mentality. I saw that the staff was really trying to do their best.

The room was a reasonable size. but just ok.

The dinner buffet was inedible. The many choices were lukewarm, flavorless except for excessive salt and no resemblance to tasty Sri Lankan food. The dining room was utter chaos. We didn't even bother with breakfast.

Maybe some of their kind staffs. Not even all!

We had to kill 7 insects inside our room before we sleep. Room was not clean enough. They didn’t give the room us what we booked and they didn’t return the difference what we paid. It is showing 5 stars but it doesn’t deserve 3 stars even!

Relatively good value. Location is convenient. The rooms are large. This hotel is Okay for sleepover if you visit Yala

The lady at the reception was not very welcoming. That was a surprise, as usually in Sri Lanka the staff at reception is all smiles and politeness and helpfulness. At the same time, the guy at restaurant (I dont know who he was, but he looked rather senior) was very helpful, and brought chicken curry specially for me, as when we checked in, the dinner was almost finished.
