- Magical place to stay during your visit to Loire Valley. Extremely unique with incredible owners who do everything in their power to make sure you have a wonderful time. 100% recommend.

Cons -
- A little difficult to find the way in the dark.
- The cave room had a musty scent, coming from the cave’s natural humidity. there was no way to open the windows cause our room wan in front of the patio with people passing. Also noisy in the morning due to people having breakfast in the patio in front of our room. Ask for a room in another part of the property.
- We arrived on our bikes in the rain and had to wait outside until they opened.

Very interesting and pretty among the caves. The pool was very nice.

The room was about as cool as I had expected it to be, and I had pretty high expectations. :) The breakfast was surprisingly good too- both the selection of food, and the cool atmosphere in a cave.It was nice to be able walk into town. Also convenient for excursious to many other towns in the Loire Valley.
Nothing comes to mind
- very well decorated and equipped room- very nice and helpful staffs - nice breakfast - great environment around, super comfortable
- I prefer carpet or wooden floor more than stone floor, but this is only my personal preference, stone floor is a good match with the nature of the accommodation
Really intriguing place, with a fantastic view and super-interesting location. Warm welcome, clean and comfortable room. Exactly what we needed on our long journey. Highly recommended.
Quirky, peaceful, very relaxed, great location, 10/15 min walk into town which was perfect.
Faultless, the only thing lacking was a stand up shower.
Unique troglodyte room. Kind staff. 15 minute walk to restaurants in town and to the castle.
Wonderfull staff, beautiful facilities, quiet and set in nature, rich breakfast. We stayed here a few times already and will sueely be back again.
Found some fake eyelashes on my bed.
The hotel is very charming and in a very good and quiet location. It is clean and has everything you need. The weather was not on our side so couldn't enjoy the outdoor spaces provided but they looked very nice.
Unfortunately it is a little humid in the rooms, being a cave like structure and probably due to the weather conditions.
Very nice and quiet location close to the centre of Azay le Rideau. Excellent breakfast. Our room (cave suite) was very cosy (but hotter than we had expected). Fortunately there was air conditioning.
The price for the room itself was a bit too high. We skipped the daily room service but would have appreciated an offer of eg fresh towels or a refill of coffee capsules/water. We found the small charge for bath towels a bit strange considering the high rate for the room. What we really missed was a shower next to the pool. The water quality of the pool was accordingly suboptimal and two of the three of us had digestive problems afterwards.
The character and unusual expérience The heated pool The warm welcome by the owner and his wife
The perceivable moisture
Room was lovely and staff friendlyBreakfast was great
Hotel doesn't have a restaurant or bar and was a long walk into the (beautiful) town
Nice room and lovey and quiet.
Limited directions hard to find car park.Breakfast unorganised.
Full of charm and character with lovely pool and not a long walk to restaurants. Cave bedroom suit (Grand Troglo) was great.Alain was a charming host and even brought us a cold beer on arrival after a hot day on motorcycle.
The bedding felt a little damp but we were in a cave after all.Pool access by steep steps will be fine for most but it’s maybe not the place for the less mobile.
We loved the location and the cave rooms
Lovely room and great staff
Interesting to stay in a cave room as it was a new experience. The lighting was good. It was clean & quiet and warm. The staff were very friendly and accommodating to our dog. The bed linen was lovely and clean. There were facilities available, for example outside seating and swimming, but the weather was too poor to use them. I think it would be a very pleasant summer venue.
There was only one chair for two people. The bed sagged in the middle. The shower head was hanging without a stand to place it in, which made it awkward to handle. Breakfast was good quality but we felt it was overpriced at €14 each. We were charged €24 for our little dog without prior notice, which seemed excessive as he is short haired and very small.
Never thought a room in a cave could be so comfortable. The hosts were very helpful and welcoming and the breakfast was superb
No restaurant on site.
Location very good but not quite within walking distance of Azay le Rideau. Quiet.
No thoughts on that. We loved the position of our room and the facilities were very good.
