Love the location. Right in the heart of the village. The rooms are exceptional, with comfortable beds and great showers. Lots of very secure parking on site with easy access. I travel on a motorbike and this hotel was the best one I stayed at during my week in France.

The only niggle is that the breakfast was a little light on hot food, but the staff made me fresh scrambled eggs so I can’t really complain about it. Whatever I needed was always provided with a hearty smile.

The property was Stunning! Young man at the front desk was very helpful and welcoming! So very close to the chateau! The village was beautiful!

Being from Ireland, when I book a hotel, my epectation is that there is avaiability of lunch or evening meal in additon to a lounge bar. This is more of a guest house or Bed & Breakfast. It is very nice though and a little more time researching would have told me that the services I expected were not available. Happy ro recommend the premises which is very nice and well located. Just don't book here expecting evenign meal or drinks options.

The hotel is exceptionally well situated not just to visit the chateau nearby, which is literally 5 minutes away, but to explore a few more in the area with the short driving. Very good traditional French breakfast.

The hotel staff was lovely at the Grand Monaque, which is smaller boutique type hotel right in the center of Azay-Le-Rideau. The accommodations were exactly as we anticipated, and the hotel was particularly helpful securing us private parking just behind the hotel. Highly recommend!

Beautiful building, great location next to restaurants, lovely streets and the castle! Very comfortable hotel, modern decoration mixed with the old building charm, comfy beds, very nice staff and good breakfast. We loved it!

Staff remember me from previous trips (some months back) and this is a great touch. It is a lovely hotel with friendly but unobtrusive service, really well situated with good secure parking.

Very friendly hotel in a fabulous location in a very pretty village near to the beautiful Azay le Rideau Chateau. The staff couldn't do enough to help us. The room was very well equipped with a fridge and a coffee machine.

I was surprised by the very small TV set, while all other amenities where quite in range with a 4 star hotel.

Wonderful breakfast with lots of choice, rooms were very comfortable and the staff very helpful and friendly. Also, the location is fantastic with lots of restaurants and the chateau within 5 mins walk.

V expensive- pay a lot for room and then parking and breakfast in top. Would choose another hotel next time- plenty of other central good ones in town

The location. The secure parking. The direct access from room to parked car, via lift and closeness between room and parking. The helpful staff. The proximity to famous Chateau and shops and restaurants. The range of interior and exterior seating areas. The advice and assistance to ensure a succesful Monday (when most places are closed) Dinner with a seriously good bottle of Bourgueil wine.

Nothing in regards to the Hotel, but a word of warning that at least one of the nearby restaurants serve very inadequate Loire wine, which, without are subsequent experience the following evening (see above) would have seriously distorted our opinion of what the area had to offer.

Great location, in the heart of the village, a few minutes walk from one of the most beautiful chateau in France. Very clean, thoughtfully designed room for disabled travellers (my husband is blind), very comfortable bed, lovely bathroom, easy access via lift. Didn't have time to explore the rest of the hotel - we had breakfast in the village - but beautiful old building cleverly modernised.

There were some very noisy guests but that wasn't the hotel's fault though perhaps more thought to soundproofing ?(I did wear earplugs!)

the staff was very friendly, indeed. The room was quiet and comfortable, the breakfast was excellent. We also enjoyed the cheese platter as well as their hot appetisers (especially when you had a sumptuous luncheon, elsewhere and really only want to have something to nibble).
