    Pros +

    • Nice room.
    • The view was beautiful, right over the old harbour - which is nicer viewed from a distance. And breakfast on the terrace, and also dinner, was very pleasant. The hotels position is it's strongest feature.
    • The location was unbeatable. Amazing views.

    Cons -

    • You have to drag your luggage from parkinglot through cobnled streets and steps.
    • The room, which was good and comfortable, did not really live up to expectations. There was no real shower, just a hand held "telephone" in the bath tub. And there was nothing special about anything in the room but everything was good.
    • The location is not vehicle accessible so there is a little issue with parking. A car isn’t necessary if you’re staying just within the city.

Great staff & excellent dinner (ceviche & snails) and great views!

the halls were hot, and the room was a bit stuffy, and the bathroom flooded when we took a shower!

A quiet calm overlooking the busy ferry terminal. A short walk to many lovely restaurants along the pedestrian quay.

Next time will need to be scheduled to explore more thoroughly.

Great location, great views from our bedroom and breakfast terrace. Marina and many restaurants close by. Car park only a 5 minute walk. The room was spacious, the bathroom a great size.

Staff could be a bit friendlier. Breakfast was ok - expected more of a 4 star. The eggs were cold, the sausages undercooked, one small toaster for many guests, coffee was a machine coffee. Couldn’t get English on tv -changing the language don’t work!

Gorgeous views from the room and convenient to town

The hotel is up a very steep set of steps. Anyone with mobility issues would have difficulty staying there. The staff were helpful but a bit cold.

The view from the hotel especially from our room!Very Top floor

Cars cannot reach the hotel, located in the citadel, any bags had to be carried through stairs on the street and in our case, the last flat of stairs

The location and the view were exceptional and VERY quiet. The room was a good size for two people (euro standards) with enough closet space for a week’s stay, well appointed with a very large comfortable bed, good placement of power outlets by bed and good wi-fi but bring your own entertainment. The TV selection was meager and didn’t allow for streaming. Robe, slippers and all toiletries were provided which isn’t often the case anymore and a very nice touch.

The nearly 8€ cup of coffee in the terrasse restaurant.

It was a beautiful hotel in an incredible location. Upon arrival, they upgraded our room and the view was stunning. The bed was very comfortable and they have many services available. It was in a great location for walking around Bastia with many restaurants and stores nearby. We were sad to leave! It is in a pedestrian-only area, so you'll have to park in a nearby parking garage. We parked in the Citadel parking that they recommended and it was about 12€ per day. However, it was a relatively quick and easy walk (about 5 minutes), so worth it to us. Plus, the area around the hotel is very peaceful without any cars.

    That we couldn't stay longer!

A beautiful room, a spacious terrace, and an unforgettable view of the fireworks.

The breakfast left room for improvement, and accessing the facilities with luggage proved somewhat challenging.

Location, view, staff and just amazingly a place to stay

Check in staff were very warm and welcoming; full of smiles! We required assistance with parking which was supported easily. The hotel is in the citadel and the views were fantastic! The hotel is a boutique experience and I found the services very upmarket; the bar was well stocked for cocktails and the breakfast smelt amazing! (We had an early ferry to catch so did't get a chance to enjoy!) The hotel is walking distance to many restaurants and bars including a short walk into the harbour - a perfect location to base from to discover the city. The parking is a short distance away and the hotel has a preferential rate.

Nothing; it was a great experience!

Location easy access to parking design and architecture. Rooms were ample and big enough view aexceptional

Its high up on the fort (citadelle) and the lift to go don to the port was not working so every time we had to walk 156 sharp stairs

    10Terence R.Posted on: 2-2-2025

Everything was great - charming hotel on a perfect location with very nice rooms and friendly staff.

just a tad hard to find if it’s your first time in Bastia, but really worthwhile.

The location, dinner and view were exceptional.

The spa sauna was out of order, the hammam barely heated up and the light in it kept flickering and no spa treatments were available. We only had dinner in the restaurant our first night (and not on New Year’s Eve) because we had been informed prior to our visit that the dog was not allowed in the restaurant. Turns out the hotel restaurant is the lobby in which their cat roams free and other people’s pets can be in (our dog is small and extremely well behaved). Finally came the plumbing issue which occurred during our stay on the 31st. Realizing it was NYE, they said they would try putting some declogging products in as we were going out all evening. As it turned out, nothing was done and the excuse of DND on the door prevented them from sending a plumber so this situation lasted for 3 out of our 4 days there. They made sure to charge us the dog fee of €15 a day for literally nothing but not apologize or remedy the situation.

Well-maintained property with an excellent wellness area. Great pool and lobby/bar area.

Considering the rates, it’s too bad that breakfast (which is excellent) isn’t included. Unfortunately the sauna was also out of order.

The hotel's interior space and decor: well-designed, comfortable. I'm super cautious about hotel cleanliness and appearance: no complaints about any part of the spacious bathroom or sleeping room. I'd stay again.

Well, finding the hotel was a puzzle; the walk from parking to the hotel with suitcases was not easy.

    10BrianPosted on: 9-26-2024

The location is wonderful being within the citadel walls and nearby parking at the underground citadel parking lot was convenient (22.80 euros per day). We had a wonderful time watching the harbor activity from our room. An elevator brings you from the citadel heights to the harbor restaurant area, which is convenient if you don't want to use the stairs. The staff was very efficient and helpful.

No complaints whatsoever from my wife and I (both 72).
