    Pros +

    • Perfect city location to stay just for 1 night ! Very small room . Hotel need to be modernized , updated , used to be a place for well known artists Parking indoor accessible
    • This is a very pleasant hotel in a lovely tree lined street. Comfortable room with a nice balcony. Car parking provided. Excellent Wi Fi. No ID was needed at check in which I found a littel odd. Reception staff were pretty laid back. Would stay here again.
    • Excellent location. Helpful staff. Room size was fine.

    Cons -

    • We paid extra for breakfast which was nothing special and not great value. "Boil your own egg" was the only hot option and cereal selection was pretty uninteresting. Coffee was good though.
    • Not much wrong here. The breakfast was simple, not too exciting. Our basic room was not too large, but that makes sense for a basic room
    • Nothing, it was great value for the price and star rating.

Great athmosphere, super friendly staff, and the hotel has very classy decoration in the common areas. It is also very central, and we got a good deal on the room. I would stay here again!

Interesting historical hotel, we like that sort of thing. Lots of good art too in the reception area, breakfast room and lounge. Plenty of reading material in several languages in the comfortable lounge for those staying longer. Really friendly and helpful staff. Really good central location. Good parking facilities. Great breakfast.

Nothing, it was great value for the price and star rating.

Exceptionally well located and decorated. The concept is so nice we could have stayed in half a day visiting all the corridors and pictures. It is such a cozy place that makes you feel really confortable. All the staff and the Owner are so kind, smiling and helping!I really recommend this hotel and we shall definitely come back when visiting Bastia again.

    Nothing. All was great!

In-person check-in was quick and efficient. Charming hotel with lots of period furnishings and even a reading room is located on a busy street within easy walking distance of sites and restaurants. Decorated room was sufficient in size, but a bit tricky to lay out luggage for two people and not trip on everything. Modern bathroom was well maintained with excellent water pressure and temperature control in the shower and amenities provided. Comfortable bed and good air conditioning supported a very restful night sleep. Strong and reliable WIFI easily handled uploading of pictures and video chat. Beautiful breakfast area served a good continental breakfast. Communication was both proactive and responsive and receptionist was very friendly and helpful checking us in early as requested and providing useful information about the city and dining options.

Free on-site parking in the city center is a real bonus but can be a bit tricky for the driving impaired as it requires you to negotiate a very narrow passage with a 30+ degree slope that comes out right onto the main street and sidewalk with a lots of car and foot traffic. If you are used to doing this, no problem – but if not, then just be aware. Convenient electrical outlets were difficult to get to without unplugging bedside lamps. Getting to your room can be a chore as it is a bit of a maze. A beautiful maze though! Note: Whoever is being paid to respond to customer comments needs some serious public relations training, because snipping customers is not helpful.

Simple place, very conveniently located next to the train/bus station, but also the centre. The staff was bery friendly and accomodating. We mentioned our room had a broken window and they immediately offered another, more quieter room, which was perfect.

Breakfast was on the simple side - not worth the money. You’re better off eating out.

Comfortable room but rather tiny bathroom/shower. Excellent location and breakfast.

    5ElizabethPosted on: 10-24-2024

The hotel is well situated for catching the ferry from Bastia to Livorno which leaves early in the morning. The decoration in the rooms is quirky and rather fun.

We enjoyed our previous stay at this hotel, but our most recent stay was a disappointment. There is a lift but our room was only accessible by stairs as well, which was a hassle. The room itself (Voyages en Balloon) seemed to have been tacked together - the shower in a different area to the room. The sheets and towels were scratchy and the pillows very hard. It was a much less pleasant experience than previously, even though we had booked the same category of room. I'm surprised that a hotel so close to the ferry doesn't have an earlier breakfast time than 7.30.

    Good location

    Small, soft bed

Very good location next to the train station and the cruise terminal. Helpful staff.

    10ThomasPosted on: 10-13-2024

This was our second stay at the hotel. The staff is professional, friendly and very helpful. The room was large, ideal for two people and luggage, and very nicely decorated. There is nearby bus service to the airport!

    I have no dislikes.

    8FranzPosted on: 10-5-2024

The staff and particularly the Head Receptionist, Samantha, went out of their way to help me during the chaos of the strike that closed the airport and ports. They were enormously thoughtful and kind. The Hotel is comfortable, quiet, and very well located and has a big bed and an excellent shower. It also has a nice reading room with a good selection of books, including books in English.

This is a quirky hotel, with interesting decor. It's very centrally located in Bastia. The staff were pleasant and helpful.

It took a while to work out the complexities of the shower. The breakfast was OK.

    7MiyakoPosted on: 10-3-2024

Very close to the station (a couple minutes' walk).

Unfortunately it faces car streets and car noise is loud during the night. We don't like air conditioner (there is one in the room, I think), and we had to open the windows since the room was small.

    6ThomasPosted on: 10-3-2024

The property was centrally located. It was an easy walk to restaurants and bars. It’s also walking distance to the ferry terminal…a big plus. They have a very nice library on the ground floor. The breakfast was very good with numerous food choices. All staff members were polite, professional and helpful ! Thanks to all of you!!!

The room was tiny and not comfortable for two people. The shower had mildew in between the tile joints. The main shower head and hand shower were not securely attached to the wall. The library was stuffy and not well ventilated.

Very close to ferry. Staff was exceptional. Samantha helped us very much with problem with ferry ticket. I vote for Samantha as employee of the month. Liked having parking on site.
