Campanile Le Mans - Arnage

Great location. We didn't realise it was motorcycle race weekend so it was very busy. If you want to be close to the race track you are within walking distance. The hotel room was beautiful and so much bigger than we realised we had everything we needed. It was lovely and clean.

Staff, we're friendly, atmosphere was great, beds were so comfortable, just what uou need when travelling a nearly 600 miles in one day. Food was great too.

Restaurant not operating but we understood because of the time of year. However, they did offer a good alternative.

Building work was being completed during our stay so dust, noise and disruption from the tradesmen. We ate our evening meal in the restaurant and were less than impressed by the menu. I had a pizza which was almost inedible, pizza base appeared to be made from cardboard. The topping was the minimum amount of tomato purée with two slices of ham and a layer of ‘plastic’ cheese. May well have been microwaved, absolutely tasteless. All in all, quite disappointing.

The evening meal was good as were the staff on duty in the restaurant.

The breakfast selection was poor. Other hotels did more of a selection. The room was noisy and you could hear televisions and talking etc.

The evening meal and breakfast choices were good and value for money. The staff were helpful and keen to assist. The property backs onto the lake and a park, or let the kids let off steam, and you need some exercise after a long drive; it's very pleasant.

Unfortunately, some work is being done to replace a fire escape; as it is near completion, it is likely to return to normal access in a couple of weeks.

Receptionist moved me to ground floor room when I explained that I would not be able to carry my case up the stairs to my original room.Lovely lake for short walk in the eveningBreakfast was good.

Evening meal was satisfactory if you chose the simpler options: however this was on a Sunday evening.

Basically we have stayed at the Campanile Arnage many times and always enjoy the location and the general environment which is great following a long day in the car. What we are not happy about is the general condition of the outside areas which are not currently being maintained to a descent standard. This probably is largely due to the refurbishment work that has been ongoing for the past 6 months or so. Although we understand that the business does have to complete upgrade work, the contractors should be managed better. For us, its unacceptable for building materials to be left randomly around the site, not only is it unsightly but its also potentially dangerous. Equally, the grass verges and lawns are not being cut regularly which is a shame given that we have previously seen the site well looked after and pleasant to visit.Hopefully these comments will be acknowledged and steps taken to put the hotel back where it was quality wise when we first started staying there.

The room and the bed were a generous size and both very comfortable.Having read the reviews about how good the food was we decided have dinner in the restaurant and the food was indeed excellent for a hotel in this price range.The semi-rural lake side location is great, especially for walking our dog.

Just one minor thing. Staying with our dog, a room on the ground floor would have been better.

Not to be judged from the outside as it is not attractive. But inside the rooms and public areas are spacious, clean and very comfortable. Good shower with nice towels, hair dryer and excellent shower. The roller shutter was good fro security and privacy. The bed was large and comfortable. The staff are very busy and very friendly. I also had an evening meal and breakfast, both were first rate.It’s location is very convenient if you are visiting the Le Mans track and even though this is a motel, it is better to stay at than many of the hotels I been in on this trip.

Nothing, I was completely satisfied. Good price, good service, good room, nice restaurant, plenty of space to unwind with a beer, and plenty of parking. Completely satisfied.

Great location next to a lovely lake with a swimming beach. We swam early in the morning before it got busy and was perfect start to the day. Fabulous for walking the dog after a long drive worth noting dogs are not allowed on the swimming beach area.The hotel was clean and the staff helpful. As vegans we always struggle in France but there was a buffet with Salads so managed ok. Rooms are motel style so easy to load and unload the car rather than have to drag down long corridors.Would definitely recommend this as an over night stop in Le Mans.

Room smelt slightly damp

Hotel room was clean and the bed was comfortable. The restaurant had been refurbished and looked very good as did the outside area.Also dog friendly and staff were very helpful.

Nothing really, it was a bit like a building site but you can't make an omelette without breaking an egg

The breakfast was limited in choice and not much left by 9am when we arrived.

Excellent restaurant and bar terrace plenty of parking on site. We had a first floor room looked newly decorated very comfy and cool. The location is great for a visit to Le Mans museum and track which is fantastic. The lake by the hotel was packed with locals on holiday good atmosphere.

Sited next to a lake, there was the opportunity for a walk.Plenty of breakfast and dessert options to choose from.EV charging point which was free to use - amazing !

Nowhere for the bathroom hand towel. No toilet paper holder. No light anywhere near the mirror. Cardboard cups for the tea and coffee, and only 2 small milks.

Ground floor room ideal as we had heavy bags to move into our room. Helpful waitress serving our dinner, good choice at breakfast.
