Hotel Villa Sophia

The hotel is exactly as shown. I especially enjoyed the short walk to the coast and 'pista ciclabile' (cycling path) along the former train route and would have also enjoyed relaxing in the lovely garden had the weather not been so inclement during my entire stay.

I have tried to complain as we had no hot water all weekend and nobody to tell as reception was closed, so I am requesting a refund . I have told the hotel but have had nothing back ??

We arrived late but Stefano made sure we could have dinner anyway. And he was at the desk the next morning. We had to get on the road early but had just enough time for a glimpse of the lovely grounds. We want to return!

I would not come back

Staff is cold, as if they are doing you a favor by hosting you. Check in starts at 2.30pm, they gave us the room at 3.20pm with the floor still wet and without apologies. I got the impression that this happens often due to the lack of urgency or apology. In the same price range plenty of other hotel options in town.

The cleaning service and the breakfast.

I didn't like the three different payments, which Booking made from my account, I asked the customer service, but still no clarification.

Right in front of the beach and you get a discount with umbrella and sun bed. Parking easily available.

The air conditioning system of the room did not work! In August this was disappointing to say the least.

Near the beachIn the hotel only old people.

Receptionists are ugly and not friendly at all. Very long time to wait until if you want to ask something. Breakfast are horrible also. 1 man who pick up dirty dishes and make a food. Also at 9:30 empty dishes. We took the last 2 pieces of ham and some boiled eggs. Koffee also very bad. All the tables were dirty, 2 was reserved for other rooms. The waiter looks like he hates us. Very noisy at night , not possible to sleep with open windows. When you close it it’s necessary to turn on A/C , but it’s air in front of the bed. We changed a hotel after one night.

The bathroom was not renovated.The breakfast was poor and the 30 min before closing time (10am), no more food available.

I liked the access to the cycle path and the bikes that were available from the hotel at a low cost. Rooms were very well presented and clean.

That I could not stay for longer

Charming hotel with a classic italian style and atmosphere. The location is just perfect by the beach and with a direct access to the famous cycling and walking path. Tennis and padel courts are just around the corner too. I would choose this hotel again. The garden is a very pleasant bonus and the staff is professional. The breakfast was perfect and the setting was most beautiful.

A kettle in the room would be nice to have...

the services and hospitality is terrible- nobody speaks English, we forgot the cosmetics in the room- they didn’t brings me back.
