    Pros +

    • The bathroom was nicely remodeled and functional with decent lighting. Sea-view was lovely. Public spaces were lovely and included breakfast was fairly nice. Free parking.
    • Charming family-owned hotel. Our room had very tall ceilings and tall windows opening to a large terrace and to a sea view. There is a nice wellness center that is a very good value (we paid 20 euros for 2 hours). Lovely breakfast with lots of choice. Conveniently located to a path that runs for many miles along the sea for running, walking or biking.
    • Loved it! We enjoyed the room with sea view and balcony. It was well, appointed and very comfortable. Loved the bed - it was very comfortable. Also enjoyed the spa with hot tub, sauna and Hammam. The breakfast was delicious with lots of choices as was the Christmas dinner. Very friendly staff. It was a great experience. I would like to go again. Highly recommend it!

    Cons -

    • Room we were given was shabby. Walls dirty, needed repainting/bug smears/cobwebs in corners. Drapery falling off rod. Several dead lightbulbs in room. Worn mattress and dated bedding. Very tiny and sad for “deluxe” upgrade booking.
    • We could hear some background talking and coughing from other rooms, although it wasn't terrible.
    • Maybe because we were in september right after high season, the bar was out of many alcohol ( no beer, no aperol) so we had a glass of wine instead

Lovely room and view and excellent breakfast and service in general. Great location.

The hotel is exactly like in the pictures. We had the suite on third floor which is very spatious and a second room with sea view on second floor, with beautiful views due to the large windows. The property is located right accross from Alfred Nobel's house and beside Ormond's gardens. Both are worth visiting. A bit further to the centre of Sanremo (15 to 20 mins walk) but very quiet around the hotel. All the staff was kind and the breakfast was good, croissants, scrambled eggs, ham and cheese. I do recommend this hotel.

Excellent hotel including service, restaurant , room & view, very well located: at walkable distance from the beach, down town and must see places . Spa and parking facility ?The chefs at restaurant & their team are making incredible job, we enjoyed our dinners at the hotel, Italian finest gastronomy served???? a big thanks to cédric at reception ???? we will come back??

We came from Milan for a short business trip on our way to Monte Carlo. The location was great to us because it allowed us to avoid the city center. Quiet room and clean and good breakfast for a hotel of this kind.

    Difficult to reach

Dark room overlooking a pile of rubbish with a curtain falling from its rail

Great hotel with wonderful breakfast, friendly staff, nice spa and easy parking.

    9BenjaminPosted on: 2-21-2025

Very nice room and facilities. Shower was incredible and very relaxing. €20 per person to use the SPA which I think is very reasonable. Breakfast was also good. Good location to the old train line which has been converted to the cycle path.

No shower caddy meaning you had to put everything on the floor. Everything else was good.

Staying in Villa Sylva was a great surprise. Lovely location and view, beautiful deco and comfort,. The staff was extremely polite and helpful. And the fact that they welcome dogs, this place goes quickly in my top list... Will certainly visit again.

No real areas of improvement identified to be honest

Great see view, great historical building with beautiful interior, friendly personnel, great breakfast, great sundeck, great location, just a few hundred meters from train station.

    Rooms were clean

Had no bath towels when we arrived. Spa was extra cost and not in the package

I have no nice words for this establishment. The mold behind the bed and leaking AC created a hazardous environment, and the management's response was unprofessional. While they offered a 20% refund, it didn't make up for the awful conditions. If you can avoid my experience here, I strongly recommend you do so.

This was the worst hotel I’ve ever stayed in. There was mold behind the bed, and the AC was leaking water all over the floor and wall. When I brought it up to the reception, they apologized but had no other rooms available. They offered a 20% refund as an apology, but I don’t think that was fair, given the conditions. It was incredibly unprofessional, and we had no choice but to stay in a hazardous environment. The management clearly didn’t care, despite overpricing a room that should not have been offered to anyone.

The staff were very helpful especially at breakfast.

Plastic cups in room. No full length mirror.
