Nothing!
A wonderful hotel steeped in history with exceptional views across St Aubin's Bay, friendly and accommodating staff, a hearty food and beverage selection and extremely comfortable and luxurious interior throughout. Would highly recommend. Thank you to all at The Somerville :)
A beautiful hotel right on the harbour. My room was spotless and had everything I could need including a bathrobe. The staff were extremely friendly and helpful.Very good value for money. I will visit again

Staying only one night
Professional staff made the short break, ilko and big Richard bar area top notch ,thank you all
friendly staff , great location and views
Amazing views from the hotel. Lovely terrace with swimming pool, plenty of sun loungers and towels. Fantastic food in the restaurant. Excellent service from all the staff. Re furbished rooms (2023 I think) were tasteful and well equipped. Location great but you have to like walking up hills as there is a short but steep one up from the harbour.
Hard to find anything not to like other than unsecured WIFI.
The friendly hotel staff made our break really memorable. They were all the most helpful and efficient people. The hotel lounges, outdoor areas and the restaurant were all comfortable and well looked after.
Our room, whilst having a lovely view of the bay, also overlooked the parking area, which could be noisy when people were leaving early for the airport.
Excellent location and very friendly staff
Bathrooms a bit dated
Staff were amazing,to Joseph, my old fashioned cocktails were the very best thank you ,rooms very clean hopefully come back soon
Room 314, no fridge, no instructions on how to use the safe, we asked for an ironing board and iron for our 3 nights stay but it was taken away the next day, definitely not the best view but spotlessly clean
We had a lovely stay, made memorable by the spectacular views and incredibly friendly staff who went above and beyond to help with anything we needed. The breakfast was delicious, and being able to order a hot meal not only added a personal touch but also helped reduce waste — a detail we really appreciated.
While the stay had its comforts, there were a few challenges. The bath was too narrow and difficult to get out of, especially for someone with reduced arm and hand strength — it didn’t feel disability-friendly. The lack of air conditioning meant relying on a fan overnight, which wasn’t ideal. Also, reaching the hotel required a steep uphill walk, so guests should be aware it’s best suited for those with good mobility — though that’s no fault of the hotel itself.
WE live in Jersey the Somerville was every thing we expected great food & lovely staff
Fabulous location, fabulous interiors, fabulous food and very friendly, helpful staff.
Less cluttered room that had too many cushions and a footstool that had taken up valuable space needed. Constructive criticism I hope.
Great hotel,b reakfas,t and staff
