Pros +
- Excellent front desk service! The gentleman who at the front desk was extremely helpful. Our luggage got sent to Australia and Nancy was not feeling well. They went out of their way to help us and especially the staff was tracking and keeping us updated regarding Air France. THANK YOU!
- The breakfast was completely understaffed and food was not resuplied. My husband ended up having breakfast elsewhere. I set my own table and ate a little yogurt and waited 30mn for my coffee
- Great location on the waterfront in this small quiet town. My room was in a new annex behind the main building, across a small courtyard. The room was a nice size, very comfortable bed, nice bedding and furnishings. The staff was friendly and helpful. Breakfast choices were limited. There is a large, free parking lot across the street , so it was easy to come and go. I enjoyed the boardwalk along the marina, walked it several times, it has some information and old pictures that I found interesting. The Tourist office, a few minutes walk from the hotel, was one of the best I’ve seen. Lots of informational brochures with suggested routes for walking, biking, driving. Very friendly staff, helpful for planning winery visits, and a nice boutique.
Cons -
- Everything was perfect.
- The breakfast
- The picture of the property was a bit different.. it gave an impression that it was a private property in front of the water instead of the a row of shop lot where the hotel is park of in the town

Friendly staffs and great checkin experience, a beautiful courtyard and newly renovated room

Kerb appeal and beautiful views of the marina from our balcony. The room was spacious, the bed extremely comfortable and the bathroom was modern and a high spec.
Reception was efficient and friendly. The hotel room was very nice, and the sleep comfort was unusually good for someone who always has difficulty the first night sleeping in a strange bed.
The restaurant was the one thing that disappointed. Since the majority of Paulliac's restaurants are closed Monday nights, we ate at the hotel's restaurant. The menu isn't exhaustive, but it did mention oysters. Unfortunately, when we asked, we were told they were out of stock. It happens, but shame.
Helpful staffparking for bike (although open to elements and not particularly secure)Pleasant location
No free bottled water in room which for this level of hotel should be the norm
Rooms were modern and everything was of good quality. Convenient parking. Staff were efficient and professional. Overall good value.
Beds were very hard. Coffee in room was extra cost which created a negative impression.
Newly renovated, with nice rooms and facilities
The atmosphere of the restaurant
Clean modern bedroom with coffee making facilities. Hotel is in good location in Pauillac and hotel has a good restaurant.
Room described as deluxe because of the balcony it provided but balcony only offered views over a residential area/car park.
We've stayed several times before. Improvements substantial and good. Just the resto a bit of a letx
The restaurant was a Bir amateurish. Food not bad, but staff poorly trained. No local knowledge of eg wines in a Bordeaux Appellation!
Attention to detail with a smile. Friendly staff who worked with you not against you. Fantastic food
I loved the hotel. Staff very helpful. The room was beautiful with lovely terrace. Bed extremely comfortable.
My only issue was the breakfast. It was not good. No real choice at all. Very expensive for what it offered.
Breakfast is OK but not exceptional. The standard room had an extremely narrow bed not sufficient for two persons. The other one was ok. The room was very cold. The spa is ok but the basin is small. The hotel is well situated in the town centre. The picture on Booking is misleading: the hotel is situated in the middle of a street, not in the nature. Globally, the hotel is comfortable but has a low value for money.
Nice location, great restaurant.
The WiFi was terrible. Kept cutting in and out.
The property was beautifully renovated. The room was a good size and the bed was comfortable. The staff in the restaurant were friendly, efficient and attentive. They offered a range of wines from budget friendly to premium at a fair price. The new heated swimming pool was lovely to relax in during a rainy day. The hotel is located right on the Gironde in the center of Pauillac, with a number of cafes, grocery stores and a few restaurants in walking distance. There’s free parking directly across the street. A great place to base yourself as you explore the Left Bank.
Breakfast is a bit pricey and I opted to grab a pastry and a coffee at nearby cafes each morning.
Location, restaurant, staff at the reception
Breakfast and the service during breakfast
along the coastline, nice ambiance, free parking
a bit expensive
Value for money, good location
Not easy with luggages
Location, staff, cleanlinessNice bar Will be fantastic when refurb finished
Ground floor room Male member of staff unlocked and opened door of room at 11pm. Apologised and retreated. This was unsettling. Hotel staff were aware and apologised in the morning The bike racks need to be secured to the ground
