About
Located above Levanto, the door to the Cinque Terre, Al Terra di Mare is an eco-friendly and solar-powered property built in the style of a Ligurian hamlet, surrounded by vineyards and olive-trees. Rooms offer free Wi-Fi and air conditioning. Instead of halls, there are narrow streets, which lead to a bar area called La Piazzetta. The outdoor swimming pool is open during summer, and drinks and ice cream are available at the poolside. Offering an independent entrance, each room features a private bathroom with shower. Breakfast is a varied buffet of fresh local food, and it is served on the communal terrace overlooking the sea. Some rooms offer panoramic views of the valley, and some of the sea. Some rooms have a private balcony or terrace. Hotel Al Terra Di Mare is 1.4 mi from Levanto center and 1.2 mi from the train station. The property offers free parking, and can provide a shuttle service to the beach, the center and the station.

Beautiful property! Rooms are very comfortable; Owners and staff are very courteous.
Location is harder to get to/from
The stuff is greate and very helpful. The Room was big and clean. Nice breakfast. The hotel is 30min walking from the center and the train, there is shuttle service that worked very good and arrived on time.
nothing to complain
The breakfast was fabulous! The view spectacular. Staff was very helpful also. They have a shuttle which was super convenient.
Nothing!
If you want to get away from the hustle bustle of Cinque Terra and all the people this is the place for you. Beautiful views, hotel shuttle that can take you to and from the train station and back to town. The breakfast was beautiful and truly they go out of their way on how they display it. Terraces are nice to sit out and have a bottle of wine and they have a full bar. My bed was excellent and I’m really picky. Can say enough nice things about this hotel. I would definitely come back here. Bonjour.
I just loved it.
We had a great stay! The hotel was very clean, the staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and the location was perfect for everything we needed, whether driving or using the hotel shuttle. The breakfast offered a small but perfect variety of items — a great way to start the day. We would definitely stay here again!
Nice view, helpful staff, big rooms, clean
The room was spacious and comfortable for up to four people. The breakfast was excellent, with a delightful view. The shuttle service to the station and beach was convenient.
Location is outside Levanto. You will need a car or take the shuttle to get to the village.
Charming hotel . Lovely rural location. Friendly and helpful staff . Great breakfasts
Perfect location with stunning views and a peaceful hotel with a lovely pool over looking the valley.. The staff were superb and very helpful.
It was all good.
Very good breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms.
Nice hotel located in a quiet area. Beautiful view of Levanto as the hotel is up in the mountains. The breakfast offered the most important things, but had a lot of focus on sweets that we in Sweden are perhaps not as used to eating in the morning.
The fact that the hotel is 2 km from Levanto means that those who do not come with their own car will be locked into the hotel's transfer. Except they only offer two tours per day for free, the others cost 5 EUR per room. For us it meant between 10-15 EUR per day as our purpose was to visit the Cinque Terre area and that meant a transfer down to the train station and then one to take us back to the hotel. There is no restaurant at the hotel so you have to take a transfer down and back to eat dinner. It is of course possible to walk these 2 km, but not something I would recommend as the hotel is quite inaccessible. In addition, there are fixed times for the transfer, both to get down and home. You must register for these at least one hour before. See image for the transfer schedule. We felt restricted due to these circumstances. There is a pool, but be aware that it doesn't open until 10:30 in the morning. This is because the cleaning of the pool takes place in the morning.
I’ll start by saying that a high rating for this hotel is entirely due to the excellent service provided by the receptionist. She embodies what hotel work should be—friendly, professional, and efficient. She managed the short queue of guests well and met all my expectations as a late-arriving guest. Despite there being no dinner option available, she went above and beyond by organizing snacks and bringing them to my room, which allowed me to get through the night. Regardless of the hotel's quality or the location, this kind of service defines any hotel experience. In this case, it was 100% fulfilled, making this place worthy of recommendation. The drive to the hotel feels like a step back in time, as if everything in this Italian spot has stood still. It’s quite rough around the edges, and it seems some people expect a carriage instead of a car. The hotel itself is situated on a small hill with a nice view. It has ample parking space, a pleasant entrance, and a nice room with access to a patio.
This place could benefit from some investment and attention to detail to truly achieve at least 4.5 stars, or even 5 stars, as the potential is enormous. However, for me, it is a very good four-star hotel with minor shortcomings but excellent female staff.
Breakfast was good. Staff very attentive. Good location for cinq terre. Levanto has some good returants.Shuttle bus down to town.
We could have used more information about local restaurants. We found them by ourselves. In the evening some basic food would have been a bonus otherwise its a car journey each evening. Shuttle's should be available all day not just specified hours.
Absolutely stunning hotel, very comfortable and very welcoming, professional, and helpful staff. The hotel is very clean, has a stunning pool overlooking the surrounding mountains and the architecture of the whole place is unique and lovely. The views from the terraces and the room are stunning. When you take breakfast on the terrace, you can see both the mountain and the sea. There is a shuttle to take you up and down to the train station where you can catch the train into Cinque Terre; it’s not free but not too expensive.
Only minus is that the rooms are not well insulated against noise so you can hear noises from neighboring rooms. Luckily, the guests are quiet in the night.
The breakfast was excellent., plenty of variety. They provided non-dairy options for milk and yogurts. The staff were always very cheerful and helpful. The rooms were very clean. Plenty of towels were provided. The beds were very comfortable. The hotel provides a shuttle to the town of Levanto for €5 each way. Levanto is a lovely town with a beach and it has many shops and restaurants. The hotel shuttle is well worth it as there is a very efficient train service that takes you from Levanto to all of the Cinqueterre towns and beyond.
Only downside is the distance from the airport to the hotel as a taxi costs €300 one way. We hired a car from Pisa airport but our experience with car rental at Pisa airport is we've always been scammed at Pisa airport car rentals with excessive add-ons (double the price of the original car hire - triple this time !!! ). It would be great if the hotel provided a shuttle from the airport at a reasonable rate.
Perfect location for hiking and exploring cinque terre. Fantastic service and very helpful shuttle service from the station and city centre.
Beautiful location looking down on Lavento town. Stunning view all round.Hotel Al Terra has great great balconies and a beautiful swimming pool area
Maybe a bit remote for some
