We liked the location and the view

I found the hotel under staffed. It could have offered more for the foreign traveller.

Unfortunately they use their conservatory area for a smoking area. The smell and smoke is unable to escape, so the smell of tobacco is strong. I felt the cost of the room was because of the amazing view and for me a little over priced.

Wonderful.position on the river and overlooking the rocky mountains.

My French is not too good and communication with staff was not great.

Location was excellent, food and drink were good too.

The bedroom and bathroom smelled strongly of mildew and the room was not very clean

Beautiful location. The room was clean and spacious.Breakfast was light and plentiful.The jewel of this hotel is the view from the restaurant bar area. It is really a wonderful vista.

Very very noisy- we had no sleep- noise from outside , as windows open as no air con and was hot It’s ok for somewhere to sleep if passing through

We certainly wished we had tried harder to fine another place with A/C and more comfort.

The TV did not work for our entire stay (during the Olympics). There is no A/C in the rooms and it was very hot. We never could figure out how to get the ceiling fan to operate with the lights off, so we ended up sleeping with some of the lights on. The dispenser for the shampoo/liquid soap in the shower was empty. The manager's English was not great.

The day we arrived, Sisteron was having a Venetian celebration, with a walking procession of people in full venetian costume through the town. The hotel's parking area (which is a public car park I believe, was closed, and housed an Italian market. We rode into it not realising this and were told very brusquely by market stall holders to go away. Thankfully a member of the hotel staff arrived and said we could park in an area just beyond the car park. The rooms looked out over the busy street, and before long the very beautiful and colourful (and slightly spooky) walking procession arrived, which was interesting, and the hotel window gave us a unique aerial view. Overall the hotel was good, staff friendly, and the location excellent. The Citadel was visible from the hotel room too.

Advance information about the parking would have been helpful. The hotel had taken payment a month previously and then said we had not paid. I had proof of the payment with me and this was accepted with good humour and an apology.

The view from you room was Magnificient.The breakfast was very well!

Location very convenient. Bed was comfortable and room spacious.

Restaurant full of flies, hotel is very dated , shower not working, toilet seat broken, no tea or coffee. Staircase full of insects. Smoking area inside as you walk in not a great look.

When you enter the hotel you have to pass through their smoking area and it carries into the hotel. Not great. Decor not in great condition and lot of dirty areas. Unidentified large insects on stairs. Lot of flies in restaurant and bar area

Good location, parking outside. Lovely river view of Durance, and cliffs opposite.

3rd floor, with old tiny lift, which we avoided! Very dated feel to everything, hard to sleep with constant banging and crashing in the night, due to very high winds( but that’s not the hotels fault!). Ok for stop over.
