    Pros +

    • A delightful hotel in a perfect location near the beach. The redheaded receptionist and the room attendant were most welcoming and accommodating. Excellent breakfast in a lovely location with the sun streaming in. Good parking available near by.
    • Hotel de la Plage was the perfect choice for our family. Our room was spacious and comfortable, the staff were exceptionally kind, and the on-site restaurant was fantastic—the food was absolutely delicious. The location is stunning, and the hotel truly feels like a hidden gem. We couldn’t have asked for a better stay!
    • Right near the beach and in the heart of the town.Great bar and restaurant.Good breakfast.

    Cons -

    • We stayed during a colder time of year so it didn’t matter to us but they don’t have AC, only a fan in the room. For some people that might be important to know but for us it was totally fine.
    • Lots of stairs to room depending on placement. No aircon. No parking.
    • The bathroom and kitchenette portion of the unit were very dingy, damaged, and not really usable. The unit needs some serious updates and cleaning. The toilet smelled really bad and there were a lot of bugs in the unit.

Good location and 3 separate bedrooms in the apartment.

    Good location, clean

WiFi was not strong enough for iPhone usage. Had a small kitchen but only equipped with plates, cups, silverware. No bowl, serving utensils, sponge, kitchen towels)

The location was perfect right next to the sea and Juno Beach. The room was bright, clean and welcoming. There were three comfortable beds in our room.

Great value hotel. Very well located. Secure cycle parking.Very good hotel for the money. Staff were friendly and the hotel is located right by the beach.

For the price, everything was fine

The room was clean, bigger than expected, with a good view. The staff are exceptional and accommodated our little knowledge of the French language. The hotel is ideally situated for all the historic beaches and sites. The breakfast was very good and the dinner menu fabulous. The chef excelled in the quality of food provided.

There was nothing we didn't like.

    Location

No hot water, left taps on bathroom and shower running for 20mins, no hot water, not even warm water. After travelling from the UK and then to drive a further 1000km to Narbonne, no shower not good. Also checked out at 8.30 am, well couldn't check out no one there, so had to leave without paying. The hotel took my money from the card in full, I notified them of the problem with the hot water, they didn't respond even I requested a reduction due to lack of warm/hot water. Shame, nice location but no service.

Great location. Could walk to all amenities and beach. Stayed in 3BR apartment so lots of room.

Next door to some place playing dance music very loudly and slamming doors well past midnight.

    Location and ambience

Stairs are very steep and winding. Low ceilings and beams in the apartment - would be good to have known about this especially travelling with elderly parent.

    7JohnPosted on: 10-13-2024

Breakfast plentiful but a little expensive

No food or bar on Wednesday even though the website said 7 days a week

    9LesliePosted on: 10-9-2024

The place was very nice and a good value. It was located right near the beach and parking was free. The one thing was you had to go up a flight of stairs.

    8DeborahPosted on: 10-5-2024

Staff were friendly and helpful Room although basic was comfortable and adequate for what we required

The bar and restaurant were closed on Tuesday/Wednesday, which then meant we had to find an alternative place to eat... which was a little inconvenient as not many places around

    8JoPosted on: 9-24-2024

Convenient and I slept very well, shutters, opening window, sea view and very comfortable bed and pillow. There was a very good restaurant a few doors down the street sorry don’t remember the name.

The room I had booked had been given to someone else when I arrived, and whilst my room had a sea view I’m unsure it would have been as expensive as I paid. The rooms are tired, the photos paint a more modern picture, in reality it is a very two star hotel- overpriced due to the tourist location- the walls were paper thin, I was woken by occupants of next room taking a very long bath or shower at 00:37am! And I thought the earplugs were for seagulls not drowning out the sounds from the next room. The restaurant was full and the staff run off their feet when I arrived 9pm Saturday evening. The bathroom left a bit to be desired- toilet needed a jolly good clean with limescale remover - see photos.

The place was a brilliant location for exploring the Dday beaches in both directions and free parking right outside the hotel! Hotel was comfortable and clean and staff where super helpful and nice - Pierre was brilliant on reception a very nice and helpful man.

Our bathroom didn't have the best smell, could see the cleaners had tried with the drains as the drain cover was lifted and cleaned out but still lingered which wasn't too nice but hey a very small inconvenience and couldn't smell it in the bedroom.
