Fonda Hotel 1771

We loved everything. The room, the restaurant, the bar, the building, location and especially the super staff.

I can't think of anything we didn't like.....

We tried to cancel this reservation because our flight was delayed 7 hours and the hotel refused to refund us even with proof so we stayed in this lovely room for a total of 5 hours of sleep and showering. It was worth it and we would return yet that was a HARD pill to swallow as we were traveling international and it was out of our control. Nice bathroom, view, decor, and slippers gave an added touch! Plus they held our bags after checkout :)

The room was very, very clean.

The restaurant , although boasted Michelin stars, was not up to standards . Tables without tablecloths, dirty silverware, cold food.The servers, all, super nice but management needs to clean up the place , as they have a prime location and great potential .

As it is located in the city centre, expect noises from the street.

We had an excellent weekend stay. The hotel was perfectly located for seeing the old city. Room and service were excellent. Beds were comfortable. We especially appreciated the assistance offered by the front desk staff.

The lighting in our room was too poor to read a book at night and that could be a problem for business travelers. Lighting in the elevator also was too low and made finding the right button a nuisance.

I found 2 spiders in the bed that was supposed to be clean. The cleaners woke me up 3 times in one morning even though I had the do not disturb sign on the door.

Location great and will definitely book again if visiting the race circuit. Local car parks convenient enough, although an extra charge.

Hotel restaurant a little bit limited in choice, however many excellent ones within easy walking distance.

I had a balcony! And a Birds Eye view of a marathon and a parade.

I liked everything about the property especially the proximity to town centre.

The hotel location is brilliant and the decor of our room was lovely as well as the floor corridors decor on the first floor where we were. Staff were all pleasant also. The little garden terrace is lovely too despite being shared. The weather meant we didn’t use it but it’s great having the option there. Everything you would need is in the room and it was cleaned daily which was lovely.

The bed mattress is very hard so I didn’t sleep well. It was fine since only for a few days but I wouldn’t have enjoyed that if staying for longer. Overall the hotel is great. I have family in Granollers so would be coming back to stay for up to 2 weeks but because of the discomfort from the mattress I would only stay at the Fonda if it were for short periods unless the mattress comfort changed. It’s also quite noisy between 10pm and 1am within the hotel ( but it was a weekend) and the housekeepers start to knock on the door from 8am - which is quite annoying since I’m on holiday and have a child so we were woken up very early by this. I learnt in the end to put the ‘shhh’ sign on but wouldn’t expect such an early wake up call regardless. We own a hotel and would never knock before 10.30am.

We always stay here as our daughter and her partner live in Granollers. Hotel is located in city centre and very convenient. Restaurant offers a fantastic Spanish/Catalan meal and really enjoy it.

Friendly, clean, quiet. Very good restaurant and bar with a warm and inviting atmosphere.

The rooms would benefit from tea and coffee making facilities.

i paid 10 euro per day for breakfast but there was nothing for breakfast. Yoghurt, jam, not even washed and sliced tomato and raw garlic! when i asked they informed us that are out of stock and for full week this is what we had to eat full week.

breakfast was not good. In the room, there was no tissues, no kettle, no drinks, no tea nothing at all just bed and shower with towel.

The room had good standards, the bed was really comfortable and the toilet room was also very practical!

I couldn't regulate the room temperature in accordance to my preference.
