Hotel Weber Ambassador

Great sea views from rooms and terrace. Terrace bar overlooks sea. Hotel provides van to and from ferry port for check-in and check-out for a small fee. Also provides shuttle between hotel and Capri City. Staff was very helpful with luggage.

One or two of the staff were curt and decidedly unhelpful. When I asked them to break a 50 Euro note, they said the couldn't.

Several things in our room were broken (sink stopper, flush lever, shower door latch). One of the staff was surly, but the others were friendly.

The hotel is not a 4 star hotel. The rooms are very old and dated. The shower head was disgusting. The staff was quick to rush you off the phone. The WiFi was terrible. It was not worth the price at all.

The view was absolutely breathtaking. The pool was great fun!

The hot tub was as cold as the pool. We had a horrible breakfast and dinner, found a dead worm in our Parmesan cheese and the staff was unbelievably rude and acted as if our presence was an annoyance.

This hotel has a nice pool area plus jacuzzi (kind of - more like a semi-warm toned down hot tub), and the lunch by the pool was good with reasonably priced cocktails. They have a convenient shuttle to take you to the center, and it runs frequently.

Upon arrival our room smelled bad so we asked to change room. While one lady was very nice, the other front desk staff did not seem interested in being nice or helping out. This hotel has seen better days, and there are nicer places to stay in Capri.

Great views and very convenient shuttles to town

Room furnishings are cheap, bathroom glass shower door was scraping and didn't open and close without it feeling like it would break. Killed a silver fish bug on the wall within 2 min in the room. Pool closes at 6pm in the summer. Grounds need up keep

The location was good, very close to the beach. The pool was big and clean.

The staff - rude and inhospitable. It was almost as if our presence was an annoyance to them. The Room - Hello 1960! (Safe Broken, broken key) THIS IS NOT A 4 STAR HOTEL! Hidden fees - be careful the shuttle from the Port is 5euro each way PP.

No inner bath mat which is a serious fall issue.

The location overlooking the sea was fabulous. The free shuttle to city center was very helpful.

Not a thing!

The free transfer service all day to the city Center and location (it is right above the marina piccolo beach) we’re perfect

The only "issue" was one that HWA had no control over... there were just a lot of people on Capri island!! But the hotel served as a quiet comfortable oasis in the midst of a lot of craziness!! Thank you... Grazie...

Absolutely loved our stay here! Clean and comfortable, and the most amazing balcony view!! Close to beach access, and a wonderful restaurant right at the hotel!

Mattresses could've been more comfortable

We offered to pay for an upgrade but they told us that none were available, even though, a large part of the hotel was vacant. Honesty would have been appreciated.

Room too small and wall on our terrace prevented me from being able to see when seated.

The hotel is nice and comfortable. It's a bit overpriced, but overall we liked the shuttle to the city, the great view, the clean and comfortable room, and the friendly staff (though not in the restaurant).

There were quite a few bad things.1. This five-star hotel doesn't have a heated pool (only a small hot tub).2. The breakfast is monotonous and very basic. Nothing special or tasty, just the standard fare for a three-star hotel, like thousands of others.3. The worst part was the dinner. We paid for half board. A terrible mistake, never do that! Firstly, they limit your choice of dishes: only 2-3 to choose from. You can't have exactly what you want. The food is unappealing, and the portions are tiny. We left hungry. And this despite paying 33 euros each for lunch!!! Secondly, they'll even charge you 4 euros for plain water. A glass of plain red wine will cost 9 euros. On top of that, hordes of waiters will walk past you, endlessly repeating that service isn't included in the price. And this despite the fact that you've already paid for lunch and will pay for the drinks! What service? Maybe we should also pay the chef for cooking the spaghetti? In short, this hotel's restaurant is the worst I've ever encountered. If you go to the Weber Ambassador, never book half board. There are plenty of excellent restaurants around for half the price.
