Hotel Astoria

Very close to station and clean, comfortable room. We were in the Annex, so did not have to carry heavy bags upstairs, which was a bonus.

No bar fridge in the room, so could not keep milk fresh or drinks cold. It was 35 degrees, so we would have liked cold drinks.

Ideal location for a stay close to the train station, as well as walkable to the city sights. Warm and cozy room.

Housekeeping missed a few garbage items which was pointed out to staff.

Great location, in a quiet street, and room was clean and comfortable. It's very close to train station and you can walk around Carcassonne from there. Very good value.

Unfortunately I was very unwell that night and was conscious that the toilet flush was long and noisy. Also there was a noisy air conditioning unit in the stairwell (which I mentioned to the hotel owner).

Close proximity to station. Excellent price with all necessary amenities. Friendly and helpful staff.

Quite nice, clean and good value. Owner/staff very helpful. Street parking was close, easy for me.

They were happy to change our room after one night to a room on the main floor.

There was no elevator and we were on the top floor. We are seniors and don’t do stairs!

Hotel Astoria Carcassonne

The air conditioning didn't work. When the hotel owner/manager was informed, he came to the room and shrugged his shoulders and didn't offer a solution. We asked for another room, and he said he didn't have one. His attitude was very dismissive and not caring. There were other issues, but that was the main one. It was 30° +, so the air con was a must. Terrible service and attitude.

An older but lovely little hotel with character and very close to the train station. The front desk lady went above and beyond her duty. She stayed up late to let us in. The next day she helped us with several arrangements. She was very helpful and kind.

There was nothing we didn’t like but a caution for older or handicapped travellers - there is no elevator in the main building where we stayed. The stairs could be a challenge. I can’t comment on the annex building.

Very friendly host. Helped us settle in and gave us many great places to visit.

It was a good local near the train station and canal. The location alone made it a good choice as it was also very near the city centre.When asked they immediately provided with an extra cover.It was a very secure building as you needed a code to enter. The room had tree stumps as bedside stands.With friendly staff and a comfortable bed this was a good place to stay.

The room was small, but very clean and with comfortable beds. The location is quiet, although only a few minutes walk from the train station and very close to the walking path along Canal du midi

Very friendly staff, the hotel is really near the train station, very accessible when you are packed with luggage. To go to the old city is really easy and a 20 minute very pleasant walk, even easier if you are using Google Maps. Downtown is very close from there.

Comfortable bed. All areas of the room and public areas are very clean.It's a great location for access to the station and the airport bus stop.When we asked to drop off our bags we were given access to our room as it was ready.Breakfast options were good and plentiful.We felt the security was very good.

The signs for the price of breakfast were out of date. It was still inexpensive so not a problem.
