Hotel De La Bastide

I liked the size of the room and bathroom. The front desk woman was wonderful.

You can hear people above you till 1am in their room.

Hotel is in a quiet location and I had a good night as there was no noise. Staff were friendly and helpful. Location is convenient, 5 minutes on foot from the station. Breakfast was good.

Not too far from the train station, but a bit far from the main attraction - the castle. Very advantageous hotel price, probably one of the best in the town.Separate room for bathroom and toilet, which can be helpful I suppose if staying with more than one person.The hotel interior in like 90s or something.

A bit far from the main attraction - castle.At the check-in, first they offered me a room that was not clean after someone stayed there. Clerical mistake happen.Next room, it was an upgrade overall, but it could use some more deep cleaning. There were stains on the coffee cups in the room, dead flies sticking on the ceiling, probably someone killed them with flyswatter but didn't remove them afterwards. The hotel need to dedicate more resource to cleaning obviously. Cherry on the top, chandelier hanging over the end of the bed was peculiar definitely.

Staff were friendly, especially Alberto. Breakfast was good for a cold selection. Bed comfortable, bathroom good. Very close to Barcelona Sants station, super walkable.

Huge room and bathroom. Great breakfast. Close to the train station. A good walk to the old city but also close to the vibrant downtown.

A perfect example of an older hotel completely renovated, non corporate feeling, and well located.

The location is great, quiet, but close to city center. We could easily park on the street in front of the hotel. The staff is super friendly.There is a bike garage protected with alarm. The teapot and fridge was nice to have in the room. Bed and matress comfortable.

The hall in front of the room is a bit smelly. The bathroom is working OK, but quite used/time to refresh.

It was a great location. The desk clerk helped me with information on getting the bus to the medieval city.

The phone plug was far from the bed, but the desk clerk lent me an extension cord.

Located on a quiet side street walking distance to the train station Hotel De La Bastide offered us very comfortable accommodations. Very clean rooms, comfortable beds and lovely breakfast. Also very important was secure parking in a locked garage for the bicycles. We would return.

In the centre of Carcassonne and close to the train station. Very friendly and helpful staff.

A bit noisy through the night in the street. Some loud voices but this may have been a once off occurrence.

It is in a quiet area, a few minutes away from the train station and 25 minutes walking to the Medieval City.Vera give us the best possible customer service. And breakfast was complete and delicious!!

The staff were fantastic. Very helpful and kind. Everything was very clean and the room was spacious. Exactly what we needed and a fair price.

Fantastic location, staff friendly and professional, room spacious and clean with windows all through, nice decor, very comfortable bed, shampoo/hand soap provided, view from our room was great

Location was good. The room had a very generously-sized terrace with good furniture although the astroturf was looking a bit threadbare in places and needs a clean..

The room was ok but needs updating and possibly remodelling - there was only one plug socket and none by the beds, which was quite awkward. The layout of the rom was odd- the toilet was right next to the bed whereas the shower and basin were at the other end of the room in a separate section. The toilet could be perhaps moved to make a proper ensuite bathroom, and where the toilet now is could be a cupboard or wardrobe.The bed was big but lumpy. Overall the room needs a lick of paint and some better lighting.

Simple room, but has everything one needs and was perfectly clean. Comfortable bed. Quiet at night. I especially enjoyed the breakfast buffet! Excellent croissants, and a lot of variety. Very friendly staff!

Room was awful, shabby, smelt very musty (due to a flood advised by receptionist) mold in bathroom, in need of a makeover. I left quickly and booked somewhere else close by which was really nice.

Everything in the room. I dont know what the other rooms were like, but I felt my room was kept to 'rent out only if no other rooms were available'. This was a double not a single room - interestingly every other review gave a 9 but shared no pictures. I would like to see pictures of the other rooms compared to mine. I have downloaded 4 pictures - 1 showing the shower but only one has appeared.

Very friendly staff who let us check in early as the room was free. Very close to the station, walking distance to the citadel and close to a square with a supermarket and places to eat.

Close to the railway station, city centre and the old town. Internet was excellent, good hotwater shower and very comfortable bed. The lady managing the place was very nice, well mannered and helpful

The receptionist was really kind, the room was big and had a view, the mattress and the water pressure were ok, no noise at night and they even left us coffee and tea. There were two desks and one little room for the luggage. The heating was ok.

The decorations of the entrance hall could use some renovation
