Pros +
- Location is one of the Best
- The staff working at the hotel are friendly, charming and professional Very relaxing and well designed flow of space from the hotel to the garden, the pools, the beach restaurant and finally to the beach. The beach itself is really charming and the beach club has very comfy chairs and is well managed by JP and his team. The gym has been upgraded and has all you need for a proper workout including a full rack with a 20kg bar, a dual pulley and leg extension and leg curl machines - whoever designed it really knew what they were doing.
- The location, staff and facilities. The bedroom was spacious and the bed amazing. The breakfast offering was very good
Cons -
- Open Toilets, no door, and are part of the bathroom, not separate! No privacy, and toilets require Privacy!! Bathrooms have little counter space to place toiletries, and no space to feel relaxed.Required to pay for breakfast, as automatically included with one’s room! We stayed one full week, and we never ate breakfast even once!!The bathrobes & towels at the Spa were way too big, and heavy, so uncomfortable!! Light cotton towels & bathrobes would be much better!Overall design & architecture of the rooms & furniture look very nice, but whoever did the design/architecture, did not actually check out the usage, and the usage in most cases unacceptable. Anyone with a good eye, or if one used the room, this would be obvious. The room keys needed to be replaced because they didn’t work, and we had to reactivate the card keys more times than the total number of days we stayed at the resort!! First time in my life that I have experienced such Problems with a Belmond Owned & Operated Property!!!I have always thought of the Belmond Hotel Group to be the finest in the World, so quite a surprise.
- The central reservations of the Belmond group are awful and know nothing at all about the hotel.Make sure you book directly with the hotel. The hotel rooms were last refurbished about 30-40 years ago and feel very dated especially given the room rates you’re paying. No place to plug in a phone charger by the bed, 1970s black plastic light switches, pebble dash walls etc etc Also the sound proofing between the rooms is quite poor. We had a manic nanny next door to us who seemed to be doing her best to keep her kids awake until past midnight every night by jumping on the bed etc only to be outdone by super dad who would occasionally drop in around 1am to tell his kids they were having a blast in an incredibly loud way. The point is we shouldn’t have been able to hear any of that ! The quality of the rooms is also very mixed with some rooms that are very musty and are basically basement level and some that are very close to the reception. We know because we had an awful one on the first night.
- The bathroom mirror steamed up for an hour post shower. The phone didn’t give the number of reception or concierge. The breakfast my wife described as a circus- too many staff- so slow unpredictable service. 20 minutes and 3 separate deliveries for scrambled egg and salmon on toast! 4 attempts to give two people a pot of English breakfast tea each.Everyone you spoke to said the pricing was ludicrous’ - €200 for buffet lunch as an example.

Everything. The hotel is perfect, amazing place, one of the most beautiful beaches in Sardinia, excellent staff, extremely comfortable rooms. Everything was perfect, we hope to come back!
location amazing, staff first class
food below par for a hotel of this standard. the breakfast was average
Large rooms with huge balconies facing the Mediterranean Sea. A sumptuous buffet breakfast every morning. Updated facilities with two pools and a nice beach.
Restaurant choices are somewhat limited unless you buy into the price fixe 4 course meals. Bottles of wine are reasonably price. However, if you want to buy by the glass, the minimum glass for very standard wines is $25 euros. There is definitely some price gouging there. Concierge is not that helpful with arranging excursions, although very polite.
The hospitality of the staff was outstanding , they all were so helpful, kind & friendly although I was alone & so sad about my lost luggage. They treated me like a princess, made sure that I’m happy & feeling comfortable all day long especially Saverio. The variety of food was amazing & I had a great time talking, singing & dancing with Anita & Fabrizio’s live music every night.
My only note is about the bathtub, need more maintenance & cleaning.
Wonderful location with access to nice beachHotel architecture is beautifulPool is greatHelpful valet service
The overpricing policy of the hotel is outrageous and was a major drawback: 9 euros for coffee, 15 for a bottle of water, 20 for a single scoop of (average) ice cream. We have been in many luxury resorts around the world and don't mind spending for good food and services, but this is clearly unjustifiable and left us with a feeling that the hotel is more interested in the customer's wallet than its confort. As a result, we spent little money in the hotel and ate out most of the time.Evening restaurant was mediocre and trying to hard to look like a gastronomic venue (100 euros set menu per person), serving frozen tuna for starters, decent fish but accompanied by tasteless potato cubes, and no desert.Breakfast was also below average for the standing of the hotel: fruits swarmed with fruit-flies, cold scrambled eggs and beans, boxed cereals.Based on these remarks, we cannot recommend this hotel and will not return.
the restaurant choices were limited. they need a restaurant with international/ Asian cuisine as well. only had Italian food
the combination of architecture, water, flowers and grass was soothing for the soul. however, kindness of the staff was outstanding!
cushions on the sofas in the evening on the terraces got wet with humidity and it was not possible to sit down. but this is due to weather.
The location was fabulous had its own private beach. 2 lovely pools. rooms were spacious & clean.
quite a lot of steps
very friendly staff, very clean
they charge €11 for 220ml softdrinks. I think this is outrageous and made me mad. When I comnented this at check out I was told this is because they are 5Star. No. Four Seasons in Maledives (much higher category hotel and on a remote Island) did not charge that. It really stained my stay
I Loved the Room and LocationThe view was mesmerizing
The staff at beach area were very rude
Concierge Department helped a lot. They were kind all the time. Hotel & nature is amazing.
Standart rooms Are too small. Room sizes could be better.
