Cons -
- Restaurants over rated in particular their flagship Al Pescatore which was a total disappointment
- We did not like the restaurant Pescatore owned by the hotel but outside the grounds. The Somelier tried to have us order wines over 1,000 euro a bottle and the food waiter ignored the fact that 2 out of 4 of us did not enjoy our meal. This service was in contrast to the excellent service in the hotel
- Hotel bar and hotel-owned restaurants were the most expensive we've ever encountered. A bit of a shock.

Room was good if furniture a bit dated. Staff were friendly and helpful.
Hotel bar and hotel-owned restaurants were the most expensive we've ever encountered. A bit of a shock.
Breakfast was good, location was good.
Room felt very dated. The Cervo bar charges 32 Euros for an Aperol Spritz (which is not listed on the menu). No one was very helpful with information about the property - it was windy so I understand not everything was available but they were not clear nor did anyone proactively communicate anything. We also left our car to be parked when we arrived at 12:30 pm with it's hazard lights on. When we went for a walk 4 hrs later, the car was still there with the hazards on. Everything just felt like a miss.
I liked the hotel a lot. I especially liked the boat to the private beach and the nature walk.
My room was an issue, the first night we lost electricity until I called the front desk.. there was also a random problem that happened with the toilet, in the middle other night on my first night stepped I water and traced it to the toilet, it happened again on Saturday eventhough it was supposedly fixed. On Saturday when returning to my room at 3;45 pm the room had not been cleaned and both of my room keys were not working. When I went to the front desk they told me it was bc I put both keys near cell phones….this was not true because my husband had his phone in the safe for 2 days. I had to walk all the way back to the front desk, the lady rekeyed my Keyes and when I asked what number I should call if the keys did not work again, I was told to do …9 on my room phone. Well that makes no sense if I can’t get I. In the room, so I asked to speak to someone who spoke English and the front desk gave me a hard time; they were rude.. then about an hour later again stepped in water in my room that we traced back to the toilet meaning twice I have stepped in by pee. Called the front desk, not sure if they came an fixed it
It was truly the staff that make this place magical. I can’t praise the Concierge team enough. CHRISTIAN is an absolute Sardinian legend. The things he researches and checks for you to make sure your time is amazing. Tullio is a humble and absolute expert gentleman. He was willing to map out every trail for you. Alessandro was the nicest young man. This concierge team is literally the best on the island. Humble. Incredibly knowledgeable, and will make you laugh nonstop. The breakfast was really great. Andrea always had a smileOn his face to help and made sure we started our day in the best possible way. The porter’s Roberto / Emmanuele — such nice guys who would always help, never expected a tip. The room was gorgeous felt like you were in a reimagining of the 1960s glamour. Spotless clean. Beautifully appointed. Not a single thing out of place.
That we didn’t stay longer
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly? The private beach was a treat… breakfast was great. And the location was good to get to other nearby places.
Location perfect Recommend to rent car to take tour the island is very nice and a lot of ports
Resturant around most of them fine dining no casual dining in the area i visit another ports like port ratando
I liked the style of it very Mediterranean . Also we had a private terrace with two sun beds which was nice. All the staff were lovely and very helpful especially Nicola in the restaurant and also the concierge, I didn’t catch his name
The taxis out the front of the hotel, they have a meter running so if you get stuck in traffic it’s very expensive, our taxi to Palau was 120euros for a half hour journey and only 80 euros to come back with a local driver!! They seem to start with 10 euros on the meter before you start. The prices in the restaurant and bar were very high!! 30 euros for a mojito and 13 for a small bottle of peroni! More than you pay in the savoy in London !
Was amazing place to stay Breakfast was awesome as was the restaurant for dinner.
A little disappointing as surrounding shopping precinct and restaurants were closed for renovations. Transport anywhere is rather expensive.
The staff were friendly.
The steps in the room, they would be dangerous for anyone that got up in the night. No control of the temperature in the room, it was hot outside and heating was on, no aircon!!!
Nice room with terrace and river view, nice pool area, helpful staff
Breakfast was lovely and the views were amazing
Unfortunately we were early in the season so a lot of things were still closed which was a shame.
Location was very good, although most shops and restaurants were closed .
This hotel is looking old and jaded, the rooms revery small and our room smelled damp and musty. Although I called the hotel before I booked to ask what facilities would be open, and was told five from six restaurants would be open at Easter (we arrived on Easter Sunday) when we got there only one restaurant plus the main bar were open. I complained about this at the front desk and was told that "none of their staff would have made that comment", basically I was lying. I shortened the stay, and was told they could not confirm I would get a refund as I had booked via Booking.com (although I had an email from Booking.com confirming the reduced price). This hotel is overpriced, out of date and the staff need to be more customer oriented. I would not recommend it even for a day visit.
Hotel is fantastic. Decorated and furnished perfectly. Great piano bar and restaurant overlooking main piazza. Food and drink superb. Pool lovely and quiet. Good gym. Staff perfect at all times.
Fantastic location, the staff at the concierge desk was always helpful and very professional.
The gym was really disappointing for a 5 star hotel. Basically a couple of basic machines just left in an outside corridor by the pool. No spa either. The prices of any sort of food or beverage at the hotel were crazy. A Coke 10 euros, a cocktail 30 euros and up. I live in NYC and I am used to high prices but these prices were ridiculous, specially considering that the hotel is really not a luxury hotel. We always ate outside of the hotel.
The staff were all so friendly! We lost our luggage and the concierge service were so friendly and helped us to the very end!
Location is so primeAnd the restaurants are great and the private beach, amazing
Dated, needs a refurbThe mattresses are terrible
Location
Tiny room even though it was a Deluxe double. Tiny balcony. Paper cups for tea and coffee making. Paper cups for wine. Charged €10 for delivery of China cups. Buffet hot breakfast was very limited and looked uninviting. Small wooden box of fresh fruit was a disgrace with a few bruised peaches, a scattering of green grapes which looked 2 weeks old
