- Nice location beautiful setting
- Nice location and hotel. Overvalued or missing some details to make it right.
- It was amazing trip for me and the hotel was the best service ever I had in my experience in the front hotel. We have a nice beach and delicious restaurant. Kids club was amazing. Specially the animal farm. They put the right people in kids club when we had dinner at le grand it is a nice Italian restaurant with mini choice. I like it second day we had dinner at beef bar . They advise us to visit landmark and to take trip by yacht to la Maddalena Island it was really nice trip. We enjoy the Costa Smeralda beach.
Cons -
- On several occasions staff spoke unprofessionally about us assuming we did not understand the language which we did. I notified the property of my observances. I thought for a very expensive hotel we would not expect this kind of treatment. The response from management was lukewarm.
- Missing attentive détails in the room. Also wine list over priced. Why? No sense if you compare with restaurants few miles away
- Nothing important just they have vinegar smelling in towels.

Waste of money- rude concierge
Completely dissapointed.. even the breakfast starts at 7 am and we have to live by 6.40 am and even the concierge confirmed before that they can arrange a breakfast for us cause we payed with the room rate.. last night before we check out they changed their mind and even they confirmed by e mail they chnaged their mind and disturbed us while we were sleeping, 4 times called us. It was a nightmare and they said they can only offer fruits what a shame for a 5 star famous hotel.. I think they are just grocery adn all the facilities were not good the hotel totally waste of time.
The staff is exceptionally friendly and helpful as well as very professional in their jobs. The design of the hotel is very interesting. I would say among all the hotels I stayed in, this room/ bathroom I liked the most. It is a combination of retro with luxury with modern comfort and fantasy. Trip by boat to the private beach is awesome.Food was good.
Alcohol should be less pricy …
Stunning view, great room, very friendly staff
Beautiful property with an extraordinary pool, private beach access, lovely shops and good food. Great location, close to Porto Cuervo. Great beds - as expected of a luxury resort. Staff is extremely attentive and provides friendly, prompt and efficient service.
The service is exceptional the staff is so friendly and accommodating my husband got an allergy on a Sunday and they brought him a doctor to the hotel. The concierge team is lovely. The hotel is so charming and cute the beach is beautiful and the rooms are so comfortable.
I have nothing to complain about
Fantastic place, something special.
Although we knew and accepted by booking that a beautiful room in this fantastic hotel is expensive, the price level for drinks and food is crazy. We are not filthy rich, but from time to time we still spend a little extra for a great hotel. However, we have never before experienced a general price level like this in any other top class resort in their restaurants and bars, and we have been to quite a few during the years. 18 euros for two cups of coffee, 70 euros for two drinks in the bar, and not possible to have dinner and share a bottle of decent wine for less than 200 euros pp. Indirectly, we almost felt "if you´re not very rich, we do not want you here". We talked to other guests who felt exactly the same and they went elsewhere to eat. This is a shame and probably not necessary in order to run the hotel with the same profits. If you have a few more choices and make it just a litte more affordable most people would stay, eat and drink more in the hotel. You would probably also get more people with a little more different backgrounds as guests, which also might be good. If you don´t agree, that is fine, but you should at least then publish your menus and price lists clearly on your web site, so people know in advance. Other than that, fantastic place and very nice people working there (not their fault the prices are so high).
Location , and Spa

Service staff at breakfast/lunchCleanliness of room I reserved king bed it was not kingRoom very old and smell of kitchen comes to itSpa very underwhelming and therapist not great
Staff were exceptional, very attentive and nothing was too much trouble. Stunning location and good amenities and food.
We went in May, not peak season, so the beach and some restaurants were closed which was a shame but there are plenty of nearby beaches
every single thing was absolutely perfect! interiors to die for, exceptional location, stunning and crystal clear waters, superb staff - it was impeccably beautiful
not one thing to complain about
beautiful property, fantastic location, great staff
The main thing that stands out for me was our meal at the Nobu restaurant. We have dined at other Nobu’s as well. We don’t mind spending money at very nice restaurants but this particular one had a $20 charge for a small bowl of just regular white rice for one person. There is a line between paying money for a nice meal and gouging which clearly the rice charge falls in that group. I could have bought them a 20 pound bag of rice for the charge of this ridiculous price on a scoop of rice. Yes it’s a small thing but so ridiculous I had to comment.
beautiful old hotel and gardens, nice room internally, beach and pool were very good
we paid for a premium sea view room but we were right above the live music (outside our sliding door!) from the bar which played until midnight. the hotel wifi did not work, they have forbidden irons and charge a fortune for pressing/laundry service. the cost of food and drinks were completely over-priced. for example €110 per person fixed price for lunch in the pool area and €25 for a glass of local white wine. Whilst we knew it was a premium resort hotel when we booked it the pricing we experienced was excessive and we want to make sure other people understand the scale of extra expense before you book here.
the renovated rooms especially the bathrooms in the ancient rooms are amazing, renovated with taste and respect for the original style and work of famous architect Jacques Couelle and his son Savin. I liked the tasteful renovation of the restaurant too.
I dont like the pool and the pool and the pool area. You need to improve this part of the hotel
lovely location. great food and people so helpful and friendly. very happy there.
nothing really. it’s not near any town so if you are there without a car then you don’t have much options other than the hotel itself.
The number one thing about this hotel is the staff. They go beyond any other hotel we have stayed at and words can not express there generosity and dedication to our enjoyment . The food was perfect everyone meal , There is not one thing we would have changed during our hotel , thanks you staff, see you next year .
We enjoyed everything !!
The room, the balcony, the design, the decoration, the dinner.
The reception and the dining service are significantly less good/slower when there are more guests. A stable service level is required for a hotel at this level.
stunning location yes it’s 10 mins by taxi to Porto Cervo but it’s so tranquil and relaxing! Decor in the Hotel was just beautiful the attention to detail was excellent.
all the staff were amazingly friendly and helpful especially Massimo who gave us a tip about taking bread out to feed the fishes when going out on the boat!
