    • The room I got was huge, very clean, and had a large balcony looking out over the valley, the Heiligenblut chappel, and the Grossglockner. The owners, a dutch couple, were extremely friendly and helpful, and gave me excellent advice on touring the area.
    • Location. Greeting at the reception by Walter who showed us to our room. Very very friendly. Chatted about the area and history. Walter was exceptional. Wished more hotels received us like he did providing such personal service. Loved the beautiful setting. Breakfast was beyond our expectations. So many choices. Thank you
    • The staff were lovely!! The breakfast was delicious. A wide variety of items were available to choose from in a spacious kitchen area. Fresh eggs cooked to your liking as well. The room was very spacious and accommodated the three of us comfortably. The views were spectacular! Visitor center to enter the Hohe Tauern National Park was very close by. Wish we stayed longer.

    Cons -

    • Missing a standup shower.
    • The only drawback was carrying luggage up 2 flights of stairs but was doable.
    • Nothing. It was perfect

The staff was extremely helpful with everything from making breakfast wonderful to offering hiking ideas. We were always greeted with a smile. Staff seemed genuinely interested in making our stay the best it could be.

Very friendly owners. The stay was lovely, with a big well-decorated room facing the mountains. The breakfast was amazing!

    10JuusoPosted on: 8-21-2025

Beautiful village tucked between the mountains and perfect accommodation to spend the time there. Really friendly staff, beautiful view from the rooms balcony and tasty breakfast. The downside for us is only staying for one night.

    10LindaPosted on: 8-1-2025

The hotel is beautiful and our room had a balcony with an amazing view of the mountains. Sitting there in the evening with a glass of champagne watching the stars at night was a really lovely way to end the day. The staff are so lovely and the breakfast was very yummy with a great selection. We wished we were there for more than one night. Hope to be back ??

    Nothing. It was perfect

The staff was super nice, we booked 2 rooms for 7 people but found out their were no sufficient beds to fit all of us but the owner just provided us third room for free and we are super happy about it

    10allisonPosted on: 7-20-2025

Staff were kind and helpful. They even packed us a delicious breakfast due to our early departure.

We asked for 2 twin beds and received a king. It was ok. We pulled out a couch bed but didn’t have sheets. We were only there 1 night so we made it work. Otherwise it was a great stay!

The staff are really nice and helpful. The property has the best view of the picturesque village. The breakfast was excellent in Austrian style. We had a great time!

    10ArulPosted on: 6-21-2025

Loved the view from the property and our room balcony. Short walk to the village center. Really great friendly staff.

    10RobertPosted on: 6-15-2025

Friendly staff, superior breakfast, location, clean room and building.

    10RetaPosted on: 4-21-2025

Spacious room and bathroom. Lovely views from all windows, either the church or the mountains. Extremely friendly reception and chef! Breakfast was great, generous with local treats, even though we were one of only 2 occupied rooms in the hotel as it was end of season.

The shower had no curtain, so a lot of water on the floor.

Cozy little hotel with beautiful surroundings. Family room was spacious and clean. Sauna was useful after skin. Excellent breakfast. And last but not least, very nice and helpful staff :)

    10AdPosted on: 3-9-2025

Great breakfast, location and super nice staff. Sauna facilities are very nice too. Family friendly!

    Sofa bed wasn’t super comfortable

    10AnaPosted on: 1-22-2025

It was a very coazy place, nice style, clean, warm and welcoming. The sauna and relaxation room were perfect for after ski relaxation. The room was comfy and big, with a very nice mountain view, and it even smelled very nice. We also had a big balcony. There was a nice safe place to store ski equipment. The personnel were very kind and happy to help with all the questions. The breakfast was also perfect. We felt absolutely comfortable and very welcome there.

Beautifull spaceous and comfortable room with separate bedroom for our daughter, large bathroom, comfortable and cosy dining room with good breakfast, in house sauna, ski room, parking, very nice stuff. Exceptional value for money.

You can hear other people walking around in the hallway

    10StefaniePosted on: 12-27-2024

The location and view from the hotel is amazing. We stayed in Hielegenblut for a week and this was by far the best. It’s close to town, a very well done inn, cozy and charming, gorgeous breakfast (also better than the other hotels). The spa is also very well done.

    Nothing to report

Great base for exploring the Grossglockner area and alpine road. Great view of the church with the mountain in the background. Nice rooms and breakfast

    10sabieliPosted on: 9-7-2024

Delightful hotel, loved the view from the room balcony and the wonderful wooden floor. We did not use the sauna, but it did look very nice. Building was extremely well maintained. Breakfast was great and plentiful. Would stay there again! Staff were great.
