Pros +
- I first had the top appartement which has beautiful vieuws, the bottom one is cool on the inside set to the rocks
- Air conditioning
- a nightmare
Cons -
- No vieuw, no window
- Understood rooms had views of ocean but no views at all and entry was difficult to locate due to being away from primary entry and in an alley way far from main entry
- It was a big hassle, first of all from Booking. I thought I had chosen a location with a sea view and ended up getting a room in a basement, with a humidity index over 70, no bathroom door, only one window with bars, no phone or internet signal. The accommodation staff were not at all open to finding a solution, totally lacking empathy for my situation. I chose accommodation for a night of relaxation and disconnection and spent the day trying to get another option, where I could actually sleep. Booking is misleadingly advertising this location, and the staff seems to have no interest in resolving situations where expectations are not met. The "deluxe" qualification is misleading, basic living conditions are not met! AIR to breathe, for example (paradoxical). Plus others. HORRIBLE.

I really love staying there as the view was perfect and peaceful. Even I had a small issue with the property and they resolved it straight away. The staff is very nice too
I would only say that I have to take the stairs with the pushchair. It is a bit hard with baby.
Location
We were giving the wrong address. Walking with a baby and the rest of my family was difficult already. The humidifier was loud. There was no courting.
Stunning views. Amazing location. In the centre of the castle.
Very tired. Needs an upgrade. Flaky paint. Flooring scratched. It wasn't clean.
The views are amazing from the room, and the room is quite spacious with more seating than expected.
The room is immediately above a bar but with the double pane glass windows closed you don’t hear it too much.
very beautiful room but not very clean. the reception, check-in and breakfast was in another hotel which wasn't very convenient. breakfast was nice with a beautiful view.
it wasnt very good cleaned
Fantastic location
The bar below the rooms is lovely but has a problem with pigeons
The room was gorgeous! Black out shutters were great! Lovely view of the sea. And Game of Thrones was filmed here, so that was cool! The receptionist is very sweet.
Some information would have been helpful. Fortunately, I read other reviews and avoided parking in the wrong place. We finally found a spot ( no help from the hotel), carried our luggage to the hotel, and no one was there. I did not have internet, so I had not received the last-minute message that you have to check in to another hotel ( up and down steps... about 10-!5 minute walk...with 4 pieces of luggage!)You get your key, which you can show to a bar across the street (Bocca) for a 10% discount. However, breakfast is served in the hotel you check into, not in the hotel you are staying in. We are in our late 60's, so this was not ideal!Do not go to Bocca if you are an American tourist! We ordered 2 glasses of Sangria to enjoy while watching the sunset. The young waitor told us they did not serve alcohol until 8:00 PM ( it was 7:00 PM, and people around us in Bocca were drinking beer, wine, and prosecco!) I asked for a coke, and he shouted " Pepsi only!" He slammed the glasses in front of us without speaking. I got cash to pay him and he sternly said," no cash- credit card only!" When I gave him my card, he took it, rolled his eyes at me and walked away. Rudest waitor I have ever encountered. His attitude ruined Peniscola for us. We received the same attitude from the staff at breakfast. They do not seem to like tourists. There are plenty of beautiful beaches and seaside towns in Spain. We will not be returning to this one.
You have to stay in this gem of a room. It is beautiful, comfortable and has the most stunning views. There is the added bonus of a little private terrace at the back of the room and you are right on the spot for exploring the old town and eating and drinking in the local restaurant and bars. Parking is not too far away and breakfast is in a separate location, again a short walk. Excellent value for money.
Nothing - everything was as we expected.
The cave room is unique, below ground/built into the rock, so to some degree of damp is expected, but managed by dehumidifiers. On the upside it's very hard to quiet and peaceful. It's a great location and the castle/old town is spectacular.Breakfast over at the main hotel was good, with a range of options and a great view.
It was so close to the beach and the old town. We enjoyed the apartment style rather than a hotel room. Staff were super helpful and friendly when we needed anything!
Location was perfect. The room itself was full of character
Damp. No doors anywhere including the bathroom. Was not clear to us where the entrance was.
Location was amazing. Within the old city and close to everything! The big rooms, kitchen and jacuzzi are a plus. Deco is also great! All facilities you need are there.
We arrived but with no instructions on the room's location - our apartment was on the same building as the rest of the rooms but the entrance its on the back. Neither on the booking confirmation or the reminder was mentioned so we spent long time looking for it with our 3 year old, suitcases, etc. Also, there was a lot of humidity in the space. They have cleverly put 2 dehumidifiers but the noise was also a bit disturbing specially while sleeping.
Location in the old castle walls
Rooms missing a personal touch. Jet tubs didn’t look particularly clean so didnt use them, unfortunately it was a draw card when booking, but if not cleaned properly…. Yuk!Different location to main hotel so meals are a bit of walk for breakfast, but very charming town…
Not much unfortunately. Did not impress me
Location and check in process is very inconvenient. Also room was in basement and that wasn’t made clear in the booking. Very disappointed in the stay and the lackluster accommodations.
Loved this little hotel! Cozy. Clean. Fantastic location, and friendly service.
Our room was beautiful. The bed and pillows were comfortable. The view!!! Spectacular. Front desk was very friendly and helpful. I’d definitely stay here again.
Fantastic, unique suite, with lots of space. Great location close to the blowhole - everything on the peninsula within an easy walk.
The entry took a couple of attempts to find when we first arrived as we checked in at the sister hotel Duna, but once you know what to look for, it's no problem.
