    Pros +

    • cabin had everything needed and more, log fire, spa, spacious rooms, very clean, excellent staff
    • The reception area was interesting; checking in was super easy, and the receptionist was a very friendly but quirky individual. They had washing machine in the room so we were very thankful, and a dryer at the common area outside which was convenient. The room was clean, some kitchen items did not seem too clean so I had to wash them prior to using. They provided us with a small decanter of port wine which we enjoyed a lot.
    • Really warm, comfy bed, own little private balcony. Good value for money for the area. Well equipped kitchen. Lovely extra touches such as some port.

    Cons -

    • This place was good for an overnight stay.
    • Balcony had a view of the road, but fortunately a very quiet road.
    • We got stuck getting the streaming going but that’s probably just us knowing what to do.

A terrific welcome reception from the manager and her dog.A wonderful country location.Very comfy beds with a full clean kitchen. The port was very much appreciated too!A clear sky made great star gazing before bed.

It was a lovely time, staff fantastic, the fireplace was fantastic, a place that is very out of the way, but its very nice. 10/10 would recommend

Location was good and host was very helpful.

The place is not very clean. There is dust and cobwebs seen. Host does not seem to be contactable via chat. We had to incur IDD costs to reach her.

Very friendly owner/receptionist. I have been travelling through tasmania for 8 days and this was the only place i stayed at where the heater was turned on before arrival so that the room was nice and warm for me when i got there. this meant a lot. she even turned the outside lights on for me and showed me where to find my cabin as it was dark when i arrived. the bed was very comfortable and the cabin had everything you could ask for, even a balcony and heating lights in the bathroom. even had some free port available on arrival. all was clean and tidy and i was given great instructions on where to find everything. only 20min drive away from “The Wall” and not too far from Mt Field Nationalpark.

a little pricy, but i guess this comes with the remote location.

This was a great stay in an area with very few options. Gloria in reception was very friendly and we were pleasantly surprised by the size of our cabin, which was very comfortable and fitted out with plenty of kitchen appliances and tools. We drove to the Derwent Bridge Hotel for dinner - watch out for wildlife if you're driving at night!

Great cabin to stay, very spacious and well equipped kitchen. Fireplace was all ready to go when we arrived. Host was lovely and had very warm welcome from Shadow the dog. We will definitely stay again.

Appointments enabled full range of facilities to be used.Delighted to find the special treat of a caraffe of Port for guests on arrival and fire set to immediately enable living areas to be heated by wood heater.

    Everything was fantastic.

The photos don’t do the place justice. The cabins are in a picturesque, peaceful location. The cabin itself was comfortable and fully equipped with everything we needed.Especially liked the thoughtful details, like having a fire built and ready to go.Gloria was also a wonderful manager - thoughtful, informative and easy to chat to.

    Nothing!

The fire box was great, comfortable beds, well equiped kitchen, nice thick towels and helpful staff (both over the phone and on check-in).

    Nothing, all really good!

We had a gorgeous little cottage, which had everything we needed for an overnight stopover. The complimentary Port was very welcome after a long day's drive. Gloria was lovely and so helpful.

This is a whole house, washing machine, lounge room and a full kitchen with everything you could need. Having the fire place set and heaps of spare supplies was a real treat. Being able to do your washing and access to a drier if needed. We just dried the clothes in front of the fire overnight. It was lovely to sit on a couch and be able to watch some tv in front of the fire.

Nothing really. For us, we were just passing through and it happened to be in the right location.
