Lovely heritage hotel staff very professional beautiful high tea and dinner and the room was beautiful
Mount Lofty House is a wonderful hotel. The rooms are beautiful and the attention to detail is amazing. The food was excellent particularly breakfast! The rooms were slightly lacking in snacks and the swimming pool area was a little disappointing. Great walks in the local area though.
Great historic house in the hills near Adelaide. High quality service, facilities and restaurant. Well renovated and clean.
Great if you're driving, staying through the Adelaide hills. First class by Adelaide standards but not great value by international standards.
A picture perfect hills location with excellent breakfast and restaurant. The facilities are full of character not found in other hotels.
Very pricey, but worth the experience if you are willing to pay.
absolutely stunning. the overall vibe and history of the property was very special. Felt like we were special guests from the moment we arrived. highly recommend doing the guided tour of the property.
the degustation at the onsite restaurant was unfortunately not our best experince. the location, staff and views were stunning but we sat for 4 hours and ended up very tired and a little underwhelmed by the courses. we were able to take the last couple of courses back to our room which was much appreciated.
Setting was stunning
Some of the staff lack experience and didn’t follow up with us on a couple of issues we had but having said that some of the staff were exceptional and were very experienced and delivered the high end experience we expected
The staff could not do any more and the food was amazing!
We found the dining room cold, and balcony chairs and a few items in our room to be worn.
Beautiful location, stunning views, room was nice, pool was great. Good coffee.Enjoyed the history tour and all the beautiful artwork displayed at the hotel.Loved the proximity to the Adelaide hills wineries and the Botanic garden.
We didnt get a turndown service, not a dealbreaker if not offered but it would be nice to have especially for a 5 star luxury stay. We dined at the hotel restaurant one of the nights and had poor service. Not enough staff perhaps. The table adjacent to us left and the table was left uncleared for a long time. We had to get up and pour our own water from the jug left out at some point and fetch our own salt and pepper as there wasn’t anyone in sight to assist. We left disappointed as it wasn’t quite the white table dining experience the hotel had made it out to be.
Such a beautiful setting, amazing welcome with staff coming out to carry our bags inside. Very comfortable room with carefully arranged furniture and lovely bookcase. Cookies in the room as a little treat were very welcome after the drive out to the hills. Located next to the Botanical Gardens, a brisk hilly walk allowed us to see some of the gullies before it closed at 4pm. Nice restaurants on site and excellent breakfast.
Bathroom was small but lovely fluffy towels provided.
Upmarket hotel in a beautiful location with good food and excellent service.
Limited vegetarian options on the menu.
Everything. It was even better than we expected it to be. We had a beautiful room with spectacular views. Everyone of the staff was very helpful and friendly. The food in Martha Hardy’s Restaurant was excellent.
The venue is magnificent, lovely staff, beautiful views and gardens. Food was excellent. We attended a family wedding.
There is nothing to fault, due to timing we missed the tour and sparkling wine as mentioned when booking to stay.
This place would have to be one of the best (if not the best) places we have stayed within Australia. Location was fantastic - so tranquil - but close to many things to do (if wanted to.) We elected to get a car (at the last minute) and were glad we did - as we were able to zip around the place and go a little further afield on some days. The service there is out of this world - not in your face, but always "there."We loved having breakfast every morning over viewing the valley - and the food - top class. Can not recommend this place any higher...... we will be back!!
Nothing at all. Perfection.
The location was amazing, veiws are breathtaking, staff all very friendly.
Bed was uncomfortable waking with a sore back, shower drain not draining water running out under the door onto carpet, we had to block the door with towels.
Cleanliness, luxurious stay, delicious food and atmosphere.
NA.
Tour of the property was a highlight
Felt that the meal at the restaurant could have been better - it was good but it felt expensive for what it was
