Hotel Fonfreda

The front desk and cleaning staff are very friendly and helpful. They make you feel valued and ever so welcome. Hotel Fonfreda is clearly an older historic hotel but it has been updated nicely. You can't beat the location on a charming square in Vielha.

Very centrally placed with easy access to restaurants and shops. The rooms were charming and beds very comfortable. The bathroom was spacious and exceptionally clean.

It is clean and calm.

As it is in the main square of the city, we couldn’t sleep a lot due to outside noise but hotel is good, we were satisfied everything with the hotel inside.

This is a beautiful small hotel in the perfect location. We were in Vielha for the UTMB and were so pleased with our choice. The room was lovely, with a VERY comfortable bed and a fantastic shower. It was a warm room but we had windows open most of the stay, which helped a lot. Breakfast was small but had a good selection, and we were accommodated for our gluten intolerance. The staff were exceptionally warm and kind. Parking is very easy and free.

There are no tea and coffee facilities in the bedroom. It would be nice if the communal lounge was open during the day.

Beautiful central location with the sound of the river bubbling by at night. No noise from the quiet central square. Helpful reception staff

Far too hot, thermostats needed to be turned down, radiators turned off and windows opened. Breakfast needed varying over the days we spent there. Two of the 3 Breakfast staff didn’t seem very glad to be there

Staff very friendly. Great location. Extremely clean.

Breakfast was very good however, the sound from the speaker playing local radio was very, very unpleasant.

The radio playing in dining room was was very disturbing.

Very friendly staff. The room was spacious and immaculate. Its part of the Town centre but seemed quiet at night. Parking close by. I would be very happy to recommend and if I visit again this Hotel would be my first choice. All the best and many thanks. Richard

for my taste, breakfast was poor. no vegetables…

.We came for Val d'Aran by UTMB and loved Fonfreda. The location was perfect - right in the centre of town and really close to the race expo / finish. Breakfast was ace (consisting of a selection of cereals, tea/coffee, fruits, meats, cheeses, breads, cakes and pastries), fast WiFi, powerful shower and excellent staff and housekeeping. I would strongly recommend it.

Our stay was amazing but two FYIs to be aware of; first, with the location being so central if your room is on the street-side there can be noise until about midnight, so if you're a light sleeper bring earplugs maybe. Second there is no air-con, though this was not an issue for us.

Breakfast, rooms and the location were great.

on my opinion, the only point that that have to improve is the breakfast, because it is very simple and basic. For instance there are not eggs and the only fruit that they offer you are orange and some days kiwis

Reception opens at 8am, early checkout not possible.Staff don’t speak English or French which was difficult to communicate any information about the hotel and facilities.

Very convenient location for those who want to sight-see Vielha. A brilliant restaurant connected to the hotel. It is very warm in the room. Good breakfast. Great Wi-Fi speed.

The furniture is quite old and interior is very simple. Family room is not too spacious. You need to walk some distance from the parking, so if You bring heavy equipment, You need to consider it.
