    Cons -

    • Loud! Could hear everyone walking and talking outside the room. Only 1 shared pillow per bed. Difficult when your partner is a pillow hog.

    • The front door was a little tricky to open. Too bad the restaurant was closed, but we found another great restaurant.

Nice looking property on the edge of town but close to the main square. Plenty of off parking on the road outside and a number of good restaurants and bars around the square if the hotel restaurant is closed. Room was comfortable.

Nice big room in charming hotel, breakfast was excellent. Parking in front of the hotel, plenty of room. The city is pretty and the local wine is great.

The front door was a little tricky to open. Too bad the restaurant was closed, but we found another great restaurant.

Beautiful historic property that has been in the family for five generations. The lobby and sunroom of the posada section is beautifully decorated and inviting. The sunroom windows have great access to the riparian area where you can see many bird species. Unfortunately we arrived after the restaurant closed and is not open for dinner however, our breakfast was excellent with eggs made to order, fruit, delicious homemade yogurt from a long standing family recipe and toasted bread; fresh OJ and strong coffee. The restaurant is beautifully appointed also.

Great location in centre of town. Very welcoming staff. Excellent breakfast. Less a hotel more a home from home. Overall an excellent stay

Very comfortable, immaculate small hotel. Ideally situated in an attractive town just off the motorway. We stayed in February and, unfortunately, the hotel restaurant which has a great reputation was only open at lunchtime. Luckily there a several good places to eat in the evening just a short walk to the Plaza Mayor. The staff are welcoming and helpful and breakfast is fantastic and very good value for money.

Lovely hotel in a great location

Only negative breakfast is not until 9am, this does not allow enough time to drive to Santanderfor the ferry which a number of guests will do

Clean, warm and with comfortable beds.

    Nothing to dislike.

Characterful Hotel in a pretty historic town

We are vegetarian & the breakfast wasn't great.

The posada is a cozy , boutique hotel in the heart of historic Lerma. Parking is easy and free. The accomodation is a couple of doors down from the restaurant and bar owned by the same people. The rooms are warm and welcoming and the shower was strong and piping hot.

I never expect much warmth from hotel staff in these parts. Castilians have a reputation for being direct and often brusque. No real exception here. The owners were amenable but didn't really take any interest in us as guests. Not even a thank you when we paid the bill upon leaving.

Breakfast. Excellent hot shower. Excellent breakfast. Location perfect for a night en route to the ferry at Santander

    Would have liked softer towels.

    7AndyPosted on: 10-29-2024

Good breakfast. Central location for restaurants. Comfy bed.

Our room smelt very strongly of cigarettes

Excellent breakfast as always. Great location. Great internal decor. Really pretty and a little quirky.

Only the towels. Same rough ones from last 4 years.

A quirky hotel in a great location. We were able to park outside the front door. The staff were very helpful and we had a good breakfast.

Comfortable and well equipped hotel, with a restaurant very popular with guests and locals. There is a large guest’s lounge on the ground floor with a quirky range of furniture and ornaments. Our double room had a fridge and kettleThe hotel is close to the main square of the old part of town, where there are restaurants/bars and specialist shops, as well as the Parador in the old Ducal palace. It was a calm historic fee. The more modern part of town is just down the hill. There was parking in the hotel basement for our motorbike, at 10 euros/day, though there didn’t seem to be any restrictions on the street.

The room felt a bit cramped with all the furniture and cushions etc, but was overall big enough.
