Hotel Alisa

Stayed here many times to and from the ferry ports so knew what to expect. Its easily reach from the autovia with a good sized parking area.The bar can get very busy with coaches stopping of off but it didnt affect us. The room was descent sized if basic but clean and good enough for a one night stay. The dinning room doesnt open until 8pm which is normal for Spain but to late for us but you can get something to eat in the bar at an earlier time. We chose to walk up to the old town which is very nice and had our dinner up thereThe grounds are a reasonable size for letting our 2 dogs do their business and plenty of walkng areas nearby as wellStaff very nice but limited english is spoken apart from receptionHve been using Hotel Alisa for 11/12 years or so and it has never let me down, not high end but respctable neverthelessRecommended

Wifi in our room was practically unusable

The breakfast was limitedThe only way to get to the shower was at the sloping end of the bath which, for an 80 year old was difficult because it was slippery

Easy to find good parking clean pleasant staff

The room was clean and warm. Bathroom clean.

The breakfast ingredients need revision. There was little choice for continental breakfast ingredients, cheap yogurts, and the bread was white only. The orange juice was not fresh.

Been twice before. Great location when I travel from Santander to Malaga. Quiet location but just off auto via. Nice grounds and lovely walk for my German shepherd who stays in my room. Staff are helpful and friendly. Nice bar with good range of food and drink, I haven’t used the restaurant but it looked good. Room is large and good beds. Spotlessly clean. Great value. Will repeatedly use this hotel. Suits my needs perfectly.

Breakfast was very good. The room was fairly clean.

There was black mold around the window which must have been there along long time. Also we were woken at 6.30 am by the doors down stairs banging. In the end we got up at 7.15 because of the noise.

The evening menu del dia was bad. The room smelled of stale cigarettes and the corridors smelled of old cooking oil.

Travelling from villa Martin to Bilbao with our two dogs hotel alisa is a perfectly positioned hotelTo pull in to . The old town of Lerma is a very interesting place .

This time we ate in the bar , because the dining room did not open until 20.30, which was ok . However on previous visit we ate in dining room ( menu del dia ) and the food was excellent and good value . So if you can time your arrival I would recommend eating in dining room .

My second stay here and it was perfect for my needs. Great value. Lots of parking. Dinner and breakfast excellent. (Julio was welcoming and great again!)I was on stopover, but must spend more time next visit, as town looks nice.

Convenient to motorway. Quiet, warm, clean rooms. Nice buffet breakfast. Short drive to pretty village of LermaReceptionist very pleasant and helpful

We have stayed here several times. It is extremely handy when travelling north to Santander. Price is reasonable. We ate in the bar. Food was freshly cooked and arrived quickly. The price was good. Didn’t have breakfast as we left the hotel early.

One downside is rooms are on the first floor and there’s no lift. Difficult if you have mobility issues.

Good if fairly basic, dog friendly overnight stop near to motorway, but within walking distance of the town, with free parking. Hot food available in the bar, which is a bonus when travelling in winter.

Good value for the room itself, but the overnight charge for dogs had increased from €6 to €9 per dog, which, as we had 2 little dogs, meant we paid 1/3 more of the room rate, which we felt was a lot as the rooms are fairly basic.

Only stayed four hours from 02.00 am to 06.00 am, so did not use any of the facilities. Plan to stay longer on our next trip.

Really basic, beds were ok, pillows lumpy, heating rattled all night. Shower leaked. No kettle.
