- The hotel itself is okay, and the old city is awesome. The problem lies in the organizational aspect.
- Amazing and quiet place to stay and visit the castles area. Very clean. Lovely room and very good breakfast.
- Upon arrival we were easily able to park right infront of the hotel, easy checkin, our standard room was very nice with wonderful views! The room was quite large, as was the bathroom-clean and spacious. Internet in the room was very good. We took a walk in the medieval village which came to life later in the evening. We opted to have dinner in a local place, El Lenador which was amazing, the food and atmosphere is an unforgettable experience! We were happy to support the locals and they made us feel welcome. Next morning we were the first to arrive for breakfast, it did get crowded quickly. There was a lovely spread of pastries, meats and cheeses, and loads of fresh fruit and squeezed orange juice. We didnt have room for the hot meal. Pricey, yes, but to stay in the lovely dining area with the amazing views made it all worth it! A lovely stay overall.
Cons -
- The hotel description says, "Free public parking is available on site (reservation is not needed)," but in reality, hotel parking costs 21 euros. The free parking refers to public city parking on the street next to the hotel, and it’s a matter of luck whether you find a spot within 20 to 300 meters.
- The service in the bar and at breakfast was terrible and super slow. It took 20 minutes for every drinks order. At one point we had to ask for a drink we'd already ordered three times and ended up going to the bar ourselves eventually to collect it. Dinner took ages to arrive, like almost an hour and our plates weren't collected when we'd finished. We just ended up paying and left. A real shame as the setting is lovely, but i wouldn't eat or drink in the bar if I stayed again. At breakfast, food had run out and was being removed before the end time. Lots of things seemed to be not available at breakfast and when I asked the staff memeber almost treated me as if I was being silly, saying yes we have all those things but you have to order them with me. How was I supposed to know that?
- Tub was slippery and there were no non-slip mats. Breakfast, while very good, was a bit hectic with the large number of foreign tourists. The rain soaked the balcony and made it unusable.

Located in a little country village, scenic views and lovely facilities. Beautiful restaurant on site.
Beautiful rooms with an amazing view. Beautofully appointed foyer and communal areas. Lovely bar area around a courtyard balcony.

Very good location in a beautiful old town. Fairly new facility. Room with balcony was very nice and had a good view of surrounding hills. Big room with large bathroom. Excellent breakfast with good variety and service. Pleasant stay and would return to this parador to visit the town.
Tub was slippery and there were no non-slip mats. Breakfast, while very good, was a bit hectic with the large number of foreign tourists. The rain soaked the balcony and made it unusable.
Beautiful, peaceful, quiet, clean etc. remarkable building with the most friendliest stuff, amazing food and drinks. It's like stepping back in time, away from suburban chaos. Also there's plenty of parking. We really enjoyed the stay.
No complaints ?
Amazingly beautiful property and local environs… the views from the hotel grounds are wonderful!- all a complete surprise to us! Also we had a large and comfortable room and a great breakfast, - with very helpful staff. Fabulous!
Tough to get to! It’s not really close to Zaragoza at all!- and a tricky drive away- but worth it once you get there! Although, we took some time finding the right entrance gate in our car!!
Wonderful location in beautiful building. Restaurant for dinner and breakfast was excellent. The town is well worth a visit and right by the hotel.
Location and views. Good parking ,
Rooms rather basic , no kettle or coffee maker . Rooms rather gloomy
very comfortable beds; beautiful view; breakfast and dinner were excellent
Lovely historical town, comfy hotel at a reasonable price
Disappointing dinner but issue resolved amicably
Amazing location. Had a superb view from our very comfortable room. Enjoyed an excellent dinner
The location is superb and the rooms were spacious and very comfortable. We had a balcony which was lovely. The staff were all delightful, friendly and helpful. We paid 21 euros to park in the garage - this is really very expensive but we wanted our car to be secure as we were travelling with one months worth of belongings so for us it was worth it. Free parking outside is available.
The staff in the cafeteria were very friendly and accommodating, but, sadly, the food was poor. The cooked breakfast was also very unappetising in the restaurant but the buffet was very good with a lot of variety.
Location, beautiful property, good value for money
Dinner slightly disappointing
We loved this hotel in the hill top town of SOS del Rey Católico which is steeped in history. Our spacious room had a balcony with a view and was both spacious and comfortable. It was good to sample the local cuisine, the food and service being excellent The staff were smart, polite and helpful.
Tea and coffee making facilities in the room would have been a welcome addition though we could purchase these at a very reasonable cost. We just missed our early morning cuppas.
The room had apparently recently been remodeled. Plenty of space with a spacious terrace and a very roomy bathroom. Did not have dinner but breakfast was a generous buffet with hot meals available on order. Suggest you arrive early as staff is limited in number. Just order your coffee as you are seated and be ready with any special hot meals when the coffee arrives. Staff for two mornings was very helpful.
Parking is mostly below the parador. This can be a problem with anyone with mobility impared issues. The walking surfaces from parking to the reception need to be upgraded. Signs to the parador are quite good but once you arrive it is a little confusing where to park.
We have stayed here before and will do so again. The location is in an interesting, tiny, hilltop village steeped in history. The parador has one of the nicest-ever covered terraces, next to the bar and restaurant, with a west-facing view (ideal for catching the sunset). The staff are extremely helpful. With a parador, you tend to know what you are getting and this one certainly doesn't disappoint.
Nothing, really. Just don't try to approach Sos del Rey by the A1601 (from the north-easterly Cuatro Caminos direction) because that road is appalling. Approach from the south or via Sanguesa. You need to have transport if you stay here - we heard one couple complaining about the very high cost of using taxis to go anywhere.
Well placed hotel in a great village as beautiful as you would find anywhere in the south of France. A real hidden gem and I don’t say that lightly as I have travelled extensively. The Paradors provide a nice warm hug to travelers and this one was no exception. The restaurant was fully booked but we still managed to grab a nice club sandwich in the bar.
Whatever you do don’t take the A1601 road from the northeast to get to SOS del Rey Catolico… it is the worst road I have ever driven on. No fault of the hotel of course
Fabulous property situated in a medieval town high on a hill, great restaurant. Easy parking
