    • This place is a treasure, it is so faded glory shabby it is way beyond chic. The staff are lovely, the location is perfect if you want to wallow in the history of Calatayud. Cycling across Spain it is by far my favourite hotel. There are no right angles in the building and yet everything is just right!
    • Breakfast is always excellent. Bed is comfortable and room warm. Cold outside, ie 7'C. Plenty of places to eat close by. Everything from Tapas to Asian.
    • Located close to shops, bars and restaurants hotel is a super old building with inner courtyard and rooms arranged round it, decorated with some lovely old furnitures had a very nice ambience. Our room was adequate with en-suite bathroom. The resurgent has a bar and a restaurant. We had drinks at the bar and a very good dinner in the restaurant.

    Cons -

    • It’s perfect, but don’t stay here if you mediocrity.
    • Could hear the people next door talking on the mobile phones
    • All good.

Location adjacent main square. Parking on site. Historic interior. Great staff.

    All good.

Although the rooms are quite basic you are staying in a beautiful place of history and the value for money is incredible! I will return ! Great breakfast !

    Nothing all great

Good location, amazing historic building, quiet, comfortable beds, good air con, friendly and helpful staff. Safe bicycle storage.

The shower gel and shampoo were placed in the cups in the bathroom which was a strange place to put them so we didn’t see them till after our showers. The restaurant which the hotel advertised was closed which was an unexpected surprise for us.

Breakfast is exceptional. Good coffee. Very helpful staff. Limited free parking on-site. Superb interior.

It was a very good restaurant evening meal Unusual breakfast Staff friendly

Would have preferred a buffet breakfast choice

Very pretty and a good location. My 3rd visit

The way the breakfast was served. I go to about 25/30 hotels a year and I have never seen breakfast served like here. It is slow, didn’t allow for choice and bizarre. It is better to lay out the food so we can go and choose what we want without queuing and feeling guilty if we want more eg another coffee

This hotel has the charm and character of a parador but without the pricey refinements and updates. The restaurant, also like a parador, serves outstanding food.

Even with at least five different routers, the Wifi service is absolutely terrible. There are frequent periods when it is simply not usable at all.

Really cool historic hotel with a museum and a restaurant inside. It is located in the historic district, which is pretty stressful to drive through, but it does have its own parking lot. Despite being a really old building, the bathroom has been really nicely renovated and the room had all the amenities. Definitely a lot of character.

The room had a weird smell, and it was a bit noisy.

Location very close to main Boulevard, with cafes, bars and restaurants. Excellent breakfast, very good value.Lovely room. This was our 6th stay. Have just booked our next stay.

    7AndrewPosted on: 10-16-2023

The hotel is incredible - situated in an amazing largely original 14th century building right in the heart of Calatayud. It has free parking next door and the staff were very polite and welcoming.

Judging by the photos there are many different types of rooms and our only mild complaint was that our's was pretty small, and the bathroom - and particularly the shower - was absolutely tiny - lucky we're thin!

    10IrenePosted on: 10-14-2023

Loved the accessible bedroom. It’s got the best accessible bathroom we’ve stayed in in spain, and we’ve been all over the north, centre and east of spain. It’s a lovely old building.

A lovely old fashioned hotel with beautiful pieces of period furniture on display throughout. Carefully and intelligently made very accessible for wheelchair. Lovely staff.

    Nothing really.

Close to centre. Good breakfast selection. Character of the place and nice staff

The beds were uncomfortable and the room looked the same as 100yrs ago. The shower head needs changing

    9AndrewPosted on: 9-26-2023

Perfect location, very cool building.staff were very nice.

Breakfast could be a bit more substantial

    6terriPosted on: 9-25-2023

Beautiful building, nice staff, large room. Room wasn’t pretty but it was comfortable enough. Bikes were easily stored in a storage room. Wi-Fi worked downstairs by the front desk..

No Wi-Fi in room despite asking for a room that Wi-Fi reaches and being assured it would work. Common areas and dining rooms are beautiful but our room was not.

    9StephenPosted on: 9-10-2023

Breakfast was a little confusing with where to eat with two areas. The server informed us to go through to the restaurant side but reception told us to dine in the foyer cafe area. Breakfast was two items from the display, rather limited.

Breakfast could have fared better with more choices available.

    5IanPosted on: 9-5-2023

    Rustic

Beware of the breakfast, nothing like advertised. Just 2 dry pastries and 1 coffee. They tried to charge me for 2 nights not one, I’m sure it was a mistake
