    Pros +

    • Away from the bustle. Tranquility. Staff.
    • Location for Camino Norte- right on trail. Clean. Great shower, quiet. Fantastic breakfast with freshly cooked eggs.
    • Awesome location, just near the park and town and still able to cruise down to the beach. And it had free parking and the food at breakfast was high quality.

    Cons -

    • Breakfast room. Small terrace in common areas. Laundry service.
    • Small room for single twin
    • No water was provided in our room after the first night. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in our room. We found this deficient in what is classed as a 4-star hotel.

The location of the hotel is perfect. We got a super welcome. Our bedroom was very good and the cleanliness was first class.

No water was provided in our room after the first night. There were no tea/coffee making facilities in our room. We found this deficient in what is classed as a 4-star hotel.

Convenient stop. Very well located without being in the busy part of town.

The room was a little outdated, but still comfortable.

    9ManuelPosted on: 6-19-2025

Excellent helpful friendly staff. Nothing to much for them...good base for beaches...very clean..great shower and comfy beds

Needs a bit of updated...but can't complain..the good made up for that

Close to the centre of town and Guadi El Capricho, handy for Camino Del Norte. Good buffet breakfast with hot food option which was nice.

Thin walls, woken by woman in room next door having a coughing fit at 4am, also kids in the room on the other side. Sorry, the coffee served from the machine at breakfast was terrible, really lets down an otherwise good breakfast.

Great to get a cooked breakfast served with grace. Heating in the room was an added bonus. Staff were very helpful and bed very comfortable.

    Very friendly staff

When you slept you heard every footstep on the wooden floors in the corridor so needs carpeting, heard every toilet flush too.

Incredibly friendly staff. We arrived on cycles as a group of four. Very helpful with our bicycles.

    4TerryPosted on: 10-19-2024

Dinner was very good if limited in choice, to two options per course. Wine was 14 euros extra per bottle. Rooms were just about large enough and my colleagues room had a fridge. Staff were all extremely helpful.

Be aware, this is a quite expensive hotel, breakfast was 12 euros extra, and the bar was the most expensive we visited, out of 4 hotels. There is nothing here which reflects the hotel's 4 stars, we stayed at better 2 stars.

The hotel was comfortable and clean and the staff were friendly and fairly helpful. I didn't have breakfast so I can't comment on the quality but it was another £8 on top, which although isn't a huge amount, it made the room nearly £60 a night just for myself. The hotel is located on the edge of town, so about 10 minutes walk from the town centre. Although on the road going out, it is an attractive area next to the park and the Sobrellano palace and 15-20 minutes walk to Gaudi's El Capricho, which is so incredible and really worth a visit!

I made a very last minute booking as I found myself not feeling well and decided I wanted to change from a previous hotel to a hotel with a private room. I wouldn't say that the room was expensive for what it was, but being a 4 star hotel I had slightly higher expectations as I had stayed in 2 and 3 star hotels on my trip that were nicer than this. I had a very early night as not feeling well and I could hear quite a lot of noise through the walls. Wi fi signal was very weak and intermittent in my room. The staff tried to help by turning the wifi on and off, but unfortunately it didn't really make any difference.

Clean bathroom and nice room with a very comfortable bed. The receptionist was really helpful.

Car parking and edge of town location

A bit tired and generally a throwback to 20th Century hotels.

    9HazelPosted on: 9-20-2024

All staff were friendly and helpful. Room was comfortable and location was excellent. Breakfast was good.

If there was a lounge with settees to relax.

Easy parking. Clean and good location

    5ElliottPosted on: 8-28-2024

The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. Kitchen was good, if limited.

This is not a four star hotel. It may have qualified as one when it was built/started operating (I believe back in the 1960s) but this hotel does rate **** in 2024. 1) The rooms were very small with inadequate hanging space, were a bit stuffy (in spite of the air conditioning) - albeit very clean - and they and the communal spaces could really use modernisation 2) There were no balconies/terraces attached to the rooms and nowhere to dry one's beach stuff 3) there was virtually no communal space in which to relax (four glass tables on the patio outside the hotel entrance was it) 4) I do not expect to have to pay for the use of a safe (so old school) 5) There was inadequate parking for hotel guests 6) The hotel building is partially given over to apartments 7) the bar and snack facilities were extremely limited. In all probably fine for an overnight or weekend stay to visit Comillas but any longer than that, avoid 8) Pool too small. The four star rating in very misleading.

    4SimonPosted on: 8-25-2024

    Location, cleanliness, good breakfast.

Poor facilities for a 4 star hotel and at the rates charged. No food available in the restaurant at lunchtime and a very limited menu in the evening. Indeed, the menu changed after we booked a table for an evening meal and what was available was totally unsatisfactory for a 4 star hotel - ie no main meal available. Had we known earlier we would have eaten elsewhere. On that basis we lodged a complaint. In addition, there was no lounge area for sitting and limited tables outside.Although the staff were generally good - especially for breakfast - communication was poor at check as to facilities and meals available after breakfast. Overpriced - very poor value for money.

This hotel is in a great location, on the edge of town but close to the city center and attractions, and the surrounding scenery is beautiful and pleasant.

    8JimPosted on: 7-25-2024

The rooms were comfortable and extremely well kept and cleaned.

The staff were very friendly and helpful.
